Horrible service, overpriced and rude front desk. Never leave reviews but had to be honest so others may pick better food options in the area.

It will be a long time before I go back to the Chart House. I'd gone there for lunch to celebrate my birthday with a friend. I belong to their club and each year I'm given $25 towards my birthday meal. I used to love the Chart House, but this year it was rather unpleasant. They tried to upsell us with each item we ordered. "Wouldn't we like the special sauce?" If I had said yes without asking the price, that would have been an $8.50 surprise when the bill came since it wasn't on their menu. After placing our order, I told the waitress about my birthday and my club membership. When the bill came, we were charged dinner prices instead of lunch prices and my birthday discount wasn't given. I pointed this out to the waitress, she brought the bill back, only one meal had been corrected to the lunch price and my discount still wasn't given. She took the bill back to the manager. This time, the bill came back with both entrees corrected to the lunch price, but my my birthday discount still wasn't given. Finally, I went to the manager myself. I was nice when I pointed out the problem with the bill. The problem was corrected it, but there was no apology. I felt like I had to be on defense from what I ordered to what I paid. By the time I left, I felt this all had been intentionally to benefit the restaurant at the customer's expense in terms of money and experience.

Had such a wonderful time. Meal was excellent and service was good. Love seeing the waves crashing, only wish you could actually hear it.

Quality food, and incredible ocean view, excellent service. They made me feel like an honored regular guest even though it has been a while since I’ve been here. We are a couple who love each other very much and enjoy every moment

Spectacular Vista.Average foodEpic service FailWe had a reservation for a family.Waters came promptly.30 mins later no ordered drinks are on the table.90 minutes after we were seated soup/salad arrived. When the entrees finally came some were cold and/or dryed around the edges waiting under the heat lamp in the kitchen. The very polite server was IN THE WEEDS with no support from.... hey, where are the food runners?Bathroom was sloppily unkept with no TP in a stall. After dinner waiting outside in the dark and mist we watched one patrons group struggle dismayed as the Valet had lost the key to their car.Holy smokes Charthouse!I still had a swell time enjoying 2.5 hours spent with family enjoying that amazing view.First World Problems..Kid-friendliness: Crayon mat with 2 sided crayons.Booster chairs available

I just love this place. The most incredible sunset views. I'm a surfer, so it's nice to be able to check out Cardiff Reef when my girl goes to the can. Speaking of which, a super Rad brother from another named Zach is one of the valets. He's an amazing surfer with a rad little son and a cool wife. Make sure you tip him big. I was hoping to get a window table, but they were all taken. So they sat us in this booth in the northeast corner that was elevated above everyone. That made my girlfriend and I feel like we were the King and Queen of Chart House. I love a half circle booth anyway so that we can sit next to each other and snuggle up while looking at the view. They have a mango rice sea bass dish that is the best sea bass I've ever had. Get it! Their New York steak was pretty darn good, too. Great size dishes for the price. You don't have to order a bunch of sides because they gave you a serving that's only 3 in diameter on a giant plate. Excellent service. I'll probably start eating here twice a month for date nights. Especially now that the sunset will be later since we finally got the proper sunset time back from the super lame daylight savings.

The hostess would not seat us at a table we liked until 5:30. Our reservation was at 5:15. We would have happily waited at the table until 5:30 for service she refused. I ordered Salmon and roasted vegetables. Their were 4 small pieces of squash in a mound of white rice. If I had known there were no vegetables I would have ordered something different. The white wine was warm.

We usually love the Chart House, but this location does not live up to the reputation. After waiting ten minutes for the hostess to find an open seat (even with 80% of the restaurant being empty), we waited another 15 to be quickly greeted by our waiter who was sweating and clearly overwhelmed. Understaffed, poor service and was a weird and low vibe to the entire restaurant. Staff seemed burdened and unhappy to be there, patrons looked annoyed and ignored, so left and went next door to Pacific Coast Grill and had an amazing experience and dinner! As we always do there. Save the walk, just book the Pacific Coast Grill and get it done right.
