Wow. This place used to have excellent bagels. It has gone downhill. No smoked salmon cream cheese. No plain light cream cheese. A $7 pizza bagel had virtually no cheese and so lightweight--another casualty of the corporate profits over quality product. Which is fine because there is a local bagel place a mile down the road with generously sized, store-made bagels.

New location to us. DoorDash orders. Two days in a row they put cheese on our egg bagel even though we listed NO CHEESE. It's not rocket science. Tried calling. They don't pick up.

Terrible customer service. The cashier had an attitude. They messed up our orders and we had to go back in multiple times for them to get it right.

Ordered on mobile, showed up 10 mins later, still had to wait 20 minutes for 2 burritos. Made me late for work! Don't come here if you are in any kind of rush. The employees just stare at you like you're the problem.

Went in to purchase a dozen Einstein bagels for my out of town guests to Encinitas location. Asked them to be sliced and placed in plastic freezer bags. Told me it would be 7 - 12 min wait. After 20 mins went back to pay for my order and they hadn't even started - asking again for my bagel selection (even though they had typed my initial order into their computer system). I was told I had to wait for everyone else in the store to be served before they could cut my bagels - WTF When asked for a manager was told I need to come in the next day to speak with him I have never heard of such bullsh*t in my entire life!!!!!

Food was disgusting, it was cold and incorrect. I ordered a egg avocado sandwich with no bacon. Instead they gave me turkey sandwich. This was a mobile pick up, by the time I reached my destination I was far and couldn't go back to change the order. When I call no one answers, get people who are actually eager and ready to work. A first impression and or a simple good morning can make a difference

SLOW service. I waited 37 minutes for 1 bagel. The bagels are good, but the service is not.
I come here occasionally just because it's so close to my work and every time I've came here the customer service has been awful, the employees tend to be extremely rude. The food is still good and I still come out of convenience but the employees could definitely use an attitude check.

My daughter was a young graphic artist and worked for a woman in Prairie Village , KansasMy daughter worked on the early logos and we go lots of free samples!!I’ve lived many places and have always looked for Einstein’s Bagels!However, 3 days ago! I couldn’t reach anyone behind the counter in the Encinitas California Shop! If I can’t get someone to answer a phone. The cinnamon , raisin bagels are gone and I wanted 6 of them and 6 plain !!!So I went to Trader Joe’s? ?

We picked up a box of their special dozen bagels yesterday around noon and were pleasantly surprised to have such a variety to chose from so late in the day. Everything was very fresh. The staff was really friendly and accommodating, and very keen to help. We just moved to the area, so we'll definitely be back!

The cashier was really nice and took our order quickly even though it was a little busy maybe a line of 4 people. When we had to pay our order came up before another customer and he was very upset and the cashier politely apologized and said our order was next in the queue to pay. The female cashier remained very professional and defused a potential problem. We wouldn't have minded the other person going ahead of us. It pays to be kind. Thank you to your employee!

My husband and I love bagels. So we went here this morning ordered a pepperoni pizza a veg out a farm house and a Santa Fe. They said it was ready they failed to give us the veg out and the Santa Fe. Also. The Diet Coke I got tasted like cough syrup. So honestly we'll never come back!
