The big appeal to me with any Starbucks isn't the coffee (its rates a B in my opinion), its the availability of its locations, service, and atmosphere. This location is no exception. Clean and well maintained this has to be one of their best locations. It is near the beach, shopping, and best of all lodging. Like I said the coffee is good, their are other options such as tea and the normal sugar drinks that are so popular.I recommend this location just for that.

I visit lots of Starbucks stores, but this is my favorite. The store is always clean and people are super friendly. Mattie is my very favorite barista- she always has a great attitude and she greets me and remembers my drink.

Waited almost 30 minutes for a cold brew because the male barista thought it was a great idea to flirt with all the female costumers while making their drinks. Ended up leaving without my coffee because I didn’t think a simple Starbucks run would take 45 mins total. Wish I could give zero stars.

If I could this review 0 stars I would. I went in to get in and ask for a venti cup of ice... plain and simple. Sophie or whatever her name is said she would give it to me. Instead she ignored me and her manger let her go on her break. Now I had to get in line to order a venti ice again. I've worked for starbucks as a barista and I don't know what was so hard from getting a venti cup of ice. Manager is really annoying (her voice). I was about to hop over the bar and get it myself. Don't even bother at this Starbucks go to a different one unless you want to hear the mangers annoying voice.

First I'm a partner so I have high expectations for service when I go into a store. I know what the customer experience is suppose to be like because we have ALL been trained on it! I was in this store at 6:30am on Saturday 9/2.This store was an awful experience. The baristas (partners) were rude, my drink was disgusting, I couldn't even drink 1/2 of it. I'm not sure who the store manager is, or the director manager, but this store absolutely needs either a new manager or staff. And some customer service training would be appreciated as well. I'm sure there are other stores nearby that have better quality of service and drinks.

I'm visiting a LOT of Starbucks locations and this must be the one with the worst service. Several times when I walked in, the staff behind the counter was completely silent- zero greeting. Once I said good morning to them and that still did not prompt them to say anything. I often order my drink with extra whipped cream and this Starbucks just never adds it. Today, when I opened the cup, checked, and then asked the barista if she could add whipped cream, her response was "I didn't make it". Seriously? I had brought my water bottle in to ask for ice water, but after that interaction I gave up on asking them anything else.On the bright side, the Starbucks Solana Beach West in the shopping center with the BevMo is outstanding. Staff is super friendly and get the order right every time.
Rude people! They seem snobby when they talk to you. The way they look at you when you ask them a question.? I said, can I have milk in my coffee? She said, "well there are different types of milk" and she listed them off. I asked another girl if she put Splenda in my coffee, she looked at me like I was weird and said "yeah". Both were just rude and snobby. Okay, you talked me into not coming back.

Wow maybe one of my worst Starbucks experiences ever. Super slow line to order, even slower to make the drink. Barista was just short. Messed up my order and didn’t feel bad about it, made it again and messed up again! Never coming back and deters me from going to such a low quality

Has a nice patio outside where I could sit but the ambiance inside was kind of meh when you are In Encinitas and expect a surf culture theme. Instead it was sterile and dark and uninviting. The barista didn't have much enthusiasm either. Prices are ridiculous for the quality. The whole place was dark. I felt relieved once I got outside into the sunlight. Bad juju
