I really enjoyed this location a lot. We went in for some sandwiches and the staff was very friendly and very informative. There is no room to sit and eat, but that is fine as well. The menu had quite a few options besides sandwiches as well. We ordered a meatball sandwich and a pastrami. They come in 8 or 16 inches. I actually got a few meals out of the 16-inch meatball sandwich, so that was good. Their bread is perfect; not too crunchy and not soggy. It added to the flavorful meatballs (and pastrami) so that was nice too. We also got a pickle that they split in four so we could share. Really tasty. For a great sandwich made by nice people, this is the place!

The sandwiches are flavorful, but my disappointment lies in the fact that I spent over $30 on a sandwich with extra meat, which they claimed to weigh. However, the serving turned out to be subpar. I'm uncertain whether the scale is malfunctioning, but if you're in need of a substantial meal, I'd recommend exploring other options. Despite being a repeat customer, this experience marked a departure from the usual quality; the sandwiches have never been so thin in my previous visits. It appears that the establishment is going through challenging times.Upon expressing my concerns, the owner responded with a generic reply, lacking any concrete solution and offering no contact information. When I showed the unsatisfactory sandwich to the staff, they seemed disinterested and almost dismissive. To exacerbate matters, they insisted on weighing the portions despite no visible scale during the preparation. Observing the sandwich-making process, it was evident that they blatantly lied about the weighing procedure, which was disheartening. My primary concern isn't merely the quantity of meat but the breach of trust. The staff's dishonesty, claiming to weigh the extra portions I paid for, is unacceptable. The fast-paced environment seemed to compromise their commitment to accuracy. I fear a return visit might result in contamination of my food. It's not solely about the meat; it's a matter of trust. The blatant lies undermine my confidence in the establishment. I'm willing to overlook many shortcomings, but dishonesty isn't one of them. The experience has made it uncomfortable to rectify an order, and opening the sandwich in front of them only emphasized the discrepancy. To the owner: If you genuinely wish to address this issue, providing a means of contact is crucial. The lack of a direct response suggests a lack of concern, rendering the reply to a serious problem seemingly insincere.

I got an original sub. Comes with Hot Ham which they put Mortadella. Salami it’s Cotto the cheapest in salami. And pepperoni. It was terrible took one bite and tossed it. Same with the meatball and sauce. Meatball looked like wet dog food. I will never go back! Are you Italian? Genoa salami is the tastiest and hot ham is cappocolla is hot ham. My parents had an Italian restaurant and our recipes would make you crave it often. Sorry but this is disgusting to me.

One of the best places you'll find in North County and most certainly Escondido for sub-style sandwiches and other delicious Italian food. It's very small so the wait can sometimes be a bit much. I suggest you order ahead via telephone or online. There is nowhere to sit... it's strictly a grab & go place. But if you're a deli person, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better sandwich anywhere.

Absolutely the best sub-sandwich in Escondido.Only take out with small waiting area. But so worth it. The bread they use is so special and once out of the pizza oven it makes for the special sandwich. I ordered the "Original".Kid-friendliness: Not, small waiting area.

I have been eating here for like 20 years!!!! The sandwiches are amazing but this older guy in the back that runs the place now is so rude to his employees. Made the employee pay for a mistake. Are you kidding me. $20 sandwich and your taxing the employees. On principal alone I am never going to eat here again even though this is one of my favorite places to eat. I hope the woman that owns it fires this guy and maybe I'll start coming back again cuz I've never heard someone in my life make an employee who's making minimum wage pay for a mistake. Wow.
