Altipiano gets a 5 star review! Plan a visit or go online to shop. If you like wine, take a sip and see for yourself!

Nope. The space was beautiful. The wine we tasted, meh. If you are hungry or don't drink wine, this is not the place for you. Our DD asked our server, Roseanne Barr, what else they had to drink. She said "We don't have anything else except water " which she returned with and promptly tossed 4 little bottles of water on the table as she was walking by. Then we were greeted by the husband of the winemaker. He told us a few bad "funny" stories that might have been funny when he was younger 100 years ago, where we had to force what might pass as chuckles. When we went to pay, it was confusing to figure out where to go to do that. We were directed by a lady sitting at a table with another lady drinking wine to " Just go over there, in that door ". When we went in, it turned out to be their retail shop that was empty of any staff. We waited for a few minutes until Roseanne came through the door to cash us out. No wonder she was a little surly, she seemed to be the only one working, as the lady drinking wine that pointed and told us to "go that way " was the winemaker/owner!

Patio was comfortable, music entertainer was talented and easy to listen to, wine was ok, pricey. Small tasting bar. I was refused a glass of wine unless I purchased an entire bottle - I haven't encountered this before. Not near the top of our favorite wineries.

My husband brought me here for my Birthday. I absolutely loved the service. The whole staff. They are family oriented and I love the togetherness. I also loved the Air Bnb and the bath soap is the bomb. Lol. We will for sure be coming back, perhaps for our anniversary. Great scenery. Great service.

Amazing amazing and amazing. This is a cozy little spot that has wine tasting. No food however you can bring your own or by special request order food. The flight is $35 and you get to try amazing wine. The host Tanisha is the owner's daughter and she was full of personality. I really didn't want to leave. She gave us the full run about all the wines and how they manage the winery. This is a must visit..I bet you won't regret it. Love this place. O and walk ins accepted

Fantastic wine and great venue! The owners are amazing and very accommodating. Definitely worth making the trip up to this hidden gem in San Diego.

Great place to spend an afternoon. Beautiful patio setting and fun place to enjoy a few glasses of wine. Panaoramic views when you walk to the back. We had live music and really enjoyed our Mother's Day out there!

Altipiano Vineyard gives such a beautiful ambiance. The wine is enjoyable and the service to customers makes you feel like a close friend. This was my 2nd time visiting and I had to become a member. It is very tranquil, small, intimate, but enjoyable. What a great place to delight in wine tasting.

Altipiano does not have food. We went there for lunch and reserved a table only to discover that there were actually no tables and they did not serve food. The road to the winery had potholes and was very rough and not well paved. When we pulled into the winery, it was someone's house. We thought we were in the wrong place. The person in the house pointed us to a little room towards the side where a woman was waiting to let us into a tiny tasting room. She acted like we were disturbing her weekend. We were the only customers there, so maybe we were. We were starving, so we left immediately and went down the road to another winery that served food.

Loved the ambience here. At this time they were not serving food. You can order a charcuterie tray ahead of time. And you can request a food delivery while you are there or bring food with you. I wish I had known ahead if time. Loved it here anyway!

I had an amazing time at Altipiano yesterday afternoon. The setting is so beautiful and peaceful, just what I needed after a long week. This is the type of place you come to soak in the ambiance and leisurely sip their delicious wines. If you are looking for the fast paced, super technical service that most wineries in the area provide, this isn't it. This is legitimately a family run operation and they invite you into their home. They know their wines but they also know the region. We listened to intimate stories about the history of San Diego from Peter, the family historian. His ability to paint imagery of days past paired perfectly with the devine red wine blend we sipped. It was such a lovely and cozy experience, I will find any excuse to return! *edited to fix autocorrect grammar issues

This was only my second visit, yet I felt like Norm, walking into Cheers! By that, I mean I was treated with grace and welcomed as a member of the family would be on a routine visit, but with a feeling of support like the most important customer in the Winery ✨️. I will most certainly be back again and again only the next time as a loyal member!
