I can't recommend this place without recommending Fernando. I've only been once and he was our server. He was the one who provided us with service and an experience that would even rival Mr. A's (which we frequent)! The filet was outstanding, the oysters were great, the dessert good... but the overall experience was excellent. Highly recommend this place because of Fernando!

First time here and it was an excellent dining experience. Our server Fernando was a complete gentlemen, and the food and drinks were delicious. We weren't able to catch any live music this time, but we'll be back!

The food, atmosphere, and service was wonderful. Fernando was a truly great server. Attentive, kind, and helpful with our food making decisions. All around great experience!

This place was such a disappointment! We were visiting from out of town and came for Easter brunch with our kids. We spent over $300 and the food was mediocre at best. We trusted the reviews and the food sucked! Pastries were old and cold, entrees were boring and uncreative. The kids were promised a dessert medley on their menu and were given a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This service was a shameless money grab. Ew.

Absolutely love Bellamy's. The live music is run, the food is way better than we ever expected and Milan makes some amazing cocktails. Definitely would recommend for a nice date night and evening out. The happy hour menu is also super nice for some light bites at a good price

I wish I could say this place is great---but it just isn't on any level. The service wasn't great. The server forgot our appetizer and then forgot to take it off our bill. My entree (fish) wasn't anything to write home about. It wasn't bad--just nothing memorable. The dessert--warm butter cake was amazing! But it didn't make up for the atmosphere. It was really loud with piano bar in the next room. And everyone (seriously everyone) in this packed restaurant was pushing 70.

This is one of the few places that my wife insisted I write a review (and not for anything good). The atmosphere is sort of strange. Is it supposed to be traditional? Is it supposed to be fancy? Is it supposed to be a sports bar (it has multiple TVs), is it supposed to be a music venue? The answer is yes and no to each, so it's not much of anything. We got seated at a table that was situated right in the hallway between two rooms. Despite having both chandeliers and wall lighting, they also had their bright recessed lighting on full blast. Meaning that our table felt more like a sleep deprivation chamber than a comfortable restaurant. Looking around it looks like several tables had the same problem. We ordered the steak medium rare. It came out very rare. My wife likes rare and it was too rare for her. The truffle fries were so greasy, covered with cheese, and covered with garlic that it was almost impossible to find the fries. When we finally did they were limp. Need I go on?

Escondido upscale staple! Food is amazing and the decor is warm and welcoming. Will be going back again for a date night for sure!

We went toBellay's Restaurant on Prime Rib Monday! Prime rib and all the trimmings was excellent. We had the Brussels Sprouts as an appetizer and they were outstanding. For dessert we had the flourless chocolate torte and was to die for!

This restaurant is pretending to be fine dining. Never have I been at an actual classy restaurant where a server will tell the diner what the extra dish is for when Cioppino is ordered; tell a diner how to consume affogato; ask a diner if they know what a French Press is, etc. This restaurant thinks they are fine dining, but, the clientele is anything but. The dining room is quite small. Even normal conversation may carry to the next table. But the night we dined, a table was extremely loud, showing a real lack of manners; no concern for anybody else. It's a chicken and the egg situation. Either the regular clientele lowers the standards, or the restaurant, because of its real level of dining, attracts the sort. The food: out of 4 people who dined, two were happy with their food. The bass was good, but the shellfish were chewy. When you do decide to dine here, make sure you ask your steak to be cooked a level less than how you want it (i.e., if you want medium rare, ask for rare); they over cook the meat. This cannot be one of Escondido's best "fine dining" restaurants!

You walk in and it's a small cute little bar. Like a little speak easy but then you're transported to the back. How beautiful and cozy. It just one word- ROMANTIC. Our server was Fernando. He was lovely and so knowledgeable. He gave wonderful recommendations and knew the menu. He guided us on a culinary journey. We ordered the Bourbon glaze pork belly and the Shrimp Scampi toast. The pork belly was moist, tender and just melt in your mouth. The glaze was delicious just perfect tang and sweetness. The shrimp scampi was big fat shrimp on perfectly toasted crunchy thick toast with a creamy rich dressing. Not heavy, just perfection. Then Fernando moved us onto the Balsamic glazed filet mignon. We ordered medium rare and it WAS medium rare. Exactly what we ordered. The cut of meat was cooked perfectly. It melted like butter and it tasted so rich and meaty. OMG it was heaven in my mouth. The spinach, which I hate cooked spinach blew my mind. The mashed potatoes flavorful and ordered an extra side. Desert oh lord!! A must!! Fernando once again hit it out of the ball park with his suggestions. I got the warm butter cake and my husband the flourless chocolates torte. The butter cake was a vanilla lovers dream. I am still thinking about it!! My husband a chocolate lover stopped talking and just indulged in the rich chocolate flavor of his cake. This is just a gem. I have lived here 30 years. What a regret taking so long. Sorry Ventanas, Bellamy's is my new favorite!!
