Ordered $304 in cakes for my in-laws 50th anniversary, ordered six weeks ahead and the day of the order had been misplaced or forgotten and they did not have anything ready. They told me they could have it ready in a few hours but that was not the point and it was an hour before we expected everybody at the restaurant. They did give us some cakes that they had on hand, so I appreciated that and thought I would give them another chance. Called Thursday morning to get a flourless chocolate tart for Saturday and they said that they could not have one ready by Saturday , two days away. I'm not sure what the process is but that seems ridiculous to me. Wanted to give them a second chance, but they will not get a third and will not recommend to anyone. Forgot to mention when I came in to pick up and gave my last name. They were going to give me a cake that they had prepared for someone with the same last name. If I just walked out with it that family would've been missing their birthday cake not to mention that I stood at the counter for five or six minutes before anyone acknowledged me a few side, eye glances, but nobody bothered to ask if they could help..

Our original wedding cake vendor had merged with Cute Cakes Escondido. To be frank, I was pained that we had to drive out much further than anticipated and also because I had learned last minute about the merger but that was the extent of my concerns.Kanani(sp?) seated and greeted us. We were given a thorough run down of all our options. My sister and I ordered some English breakfast tea and was sweetly surprised with how authentic it tasted.(we're from England, if that helps anything) She went above and beyond to help me with questions and ideas. Even as far as printing out images of rental products that weren't readily available. Despite the gloomy weather, having some cake and tea that day really made it a cozy moment to take a break from all the wedding planning stress.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free optionsParking: Was a little tricky to get to the parking lot. Probably because it was our first time and they had one way streets.Wheelchair accessibility: There is an accessible parking spot in the back of the shop. We needed a cake for a dinner party that we were hosting. After researching local bakeries, reading reviews and looking at many pictures, I chose to try the tres leches cake at cute cakes. The cake tasted fresh and the frosting was definitely homemade using quality ingredients. However compared to the traditional tres leches cake that I love so much, I found this cake to be rather dry in comparison. It isn't a dry cake compared to any ordinary cake you may buy from a bakery, but it is dry considering it is a tres leches cake which is supposed to be drenched in evaporated and condensed milk. Was it worth $52? Absolutely not. Again not a bad tasting cake but not what I expected and not worth $52. I would rate this cake a 7 out of 10 if I were purchasing a traditional white cake for a wedding or something. But I would rate it a 5 out of 10 considering it's supposed to be a tres leches cake yet did not seem like it was one. I also tried the chocolate croissant while I was there. It was large, Fluffy and impressive looking. However when I bit into it half of it was air and there was not a lot of chocolate inside at all. I would say I would rate that croissant 6 or seven out of 10. The chocolate croissant at Starbucks is indeed smaller but honestly more tasty Imo. The service was decent. The ambience of the place was cute , quaint, and friendly.

We tried their Yummy tasting plate for an upcoming wedding which included: classic vanilla with raspberry jam, deep South chocolate with white chocolate mocha custard & ganache, Lemon / lemon custard, Strawberry with vanilla custard, Marble chocolate mousse, Red velvet cream cheese, Cookies and cream. Our favorites were the deep South chocolate, with white chocolate mocha, custard and ganache; the marble chocolate mousse; the almond latte, macchiato mousse and the southern red velvet with cream cheese. Unfortunately we didn't get to taste their signature carrot with cream cheese frosting, but we will be happy to try it next time. Service from Sarah and her crew was great. We had a misunderstanding about the tasting date ( my bad) and everyone rallied to get our tasting plate together. Thank you! We look forward to their wedding cake!

I wish I was able to give them a million stars! I called and spoke with Logan. The customer service WOW!! She was super friendly, patient and helpful. I'm from out of town and needed a same day order and delivery for my mom. Well Logan helped me choose the perfect cake and had it delivered on time as promised. Super happy with their service!!!

First off, the bakery is ADORABLE and made me want to spend time in there, the staff was incredible friendly and helpful and lastly the cake was FANTASTIC! We had a hard time deciding which one we loved the most because they were all so good!
Scheduled a to go cake tasting for wedding trial. Honestly service was great and concise but the cakes were not impressive. Flavors were bland and trivial and not impressive quality. If you’re looking for a dessert for a birthday or something it would be better but i don’t think the taste was exceptional or memorable sorry ?.

I feel like I should add that the manager or owner (not sure as it was a bit ago) tried to call me immediately to (what seemed to be) rectify the situation. I wasn't able to answer the call and a voicemail was left from said owner or manager. When I called back, I left a very receptive voicemail and the owner or manager- again, not too sure who it was- never returned my call. As I said in my original review, it was so artificial tasting. I can honestly say it was the worst cake I've ever tasted in my life. Of course we didn't let it ruin our night because everything else went so beautifully, but what a true disappointment the cake and customer service is. I really try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but this was absolutely poorly handled. Your wedding day is supposed to be your special day, and to have something so important go so wrong was incredibly disappointing. My husband works around the corner and we were truly looking forward to picking up treats as reminders of our wedding day on every anniversary, which we just couldn't do with this inedible cake. Our anniversary just came up and I would truly recommend a Carvel cake instead. If your one year old won't touch his first bite of cake, you know something is wrong! Our first anniversary just passed and it truly reminded me of how poorly handled this whole experience was. Save your time and money.

The service is great, it's a cute place with all kinds of different cakes for all kinds of events, cupcakes and other swags. I highly recommend this place for your special moments.
