Ever since they did the remodel and re-opened the place the food has been crap, no flavor the beans are watery. I ordered a pound of buche, carnitas and cueritos and he only gave me 1 small salsa?! Like really

1/30/2022 I went to purchase 4 lb of carnitas to watch the playoffs I went around 11:15 am, the meat was over heated and dry I spend over $60 dollars on dry carnitas that no one ate bummer I don't know what's happening to this place.

A no nonsense, hole in the wall place for carnitas! We picked up a takeout order of the family meal which came with 1lb carnitas, side of slaw, tortillas. The meat was a bit dry but otherwise tasty. We added a side of pork beans (which is pureed) which were so delicious and flavorful. We wanted more of the cilantro/onion, salsa mix to make our own little tacos but the meal was yummy and well priced overall.

Just like the name suggests, they specialize in carnitas here. As you approach the building, you should start to get the beautiful aroma of carnitas in the air. Walk into the shop and you can glimpse a giant pot with carnitas in the corner. The menu is simple because there is no need to complicate what is going on. Figure out how much carnitas you want and be ready to enjoy the pork-baed goodness.

Really good place for top quality Carnitas by the pound! Been looking for competitive carnitas that could match Houston Texas Carnitas. This is the closest to authentic Mexican Carnitas!! I wish they had adobada style meat which I still can't find a place that sells it by the pound.

I was not impressed. Carnitas were dry. The flavor was ok. I was disappointed because I am a carnitas fan but it is hard to find good ones. I asked for flour tortillas, got corn.

The food was good not the best carnitas I've ever had but they were good! Customer service was strange which is why they only get 2 stars from me. I came in and the girl asked me what I wanted and then asked me to sit down while I waited. I got their 2lb special to go. At this moment I took out my phone and was gonna post a boomerang on Instagram because I was very excited to try this place, this is when another women came out from the back and very rudely asked me if I was taking pictures or videos. I asked why she was asking and her response was "you can't take pictures or videos" I continued to ask the reasoning behind that & her final response was "I don't know the owner doesn't like it." Most places like and encourage checkins as it's basically free advertisement so I found the whole encounter very strange.

I'm not sure where the miss information is coming from, what I believe is that this place used to be top notch and has now sunk into a new low. I have eaten Carnitas all over Mexico, and my wife makes a pretty good Carnitas. This is not good Carnitas. I would rather go to los Primos, because they make better and it's not that great. The meat was dry, underseasoned, and I don't understand how people can eat that stuff and think that it's good. At first I thought that a bunch of their family and friends were posting on here. But I don't think that's true, like I said most of the post ranking at five stars are from two and three years ago. Whatever the case, if you want to waste your time and money go try it for yourself. But I warn you if you know anything about Carnitas she will be quite disappointed. Also their guacamole is so loaded with lime juice to keep it from turning brown, that it's unpalatable. And even though it hasn't turned brown and you can tell when guacamole has been sitting around for a while with lime juice in it. It still gets that old taste. Nothing beats fresh guacamole. The real trick to a successful restaurant is hard work, and it's obvious that there is not hard work going on here. I'm really sorry because I was looking forward to some fabulous Carnitas. This is not the place to get it.

I've eaten several times and I have not been disappointed. I'm very glad I found a place like this when I would like to eat some carnitas and buche.

Probably the best carnitas I've ever had. Menu is limited but that is ok. Food was great. I will definitely be back the next time I am in town.

LOVE THE FOOD. Hate The Employees. I Go Once In A While For A Burrito & Lately I Get Attitude Or When I Ask A Question They First Look At Each Other (Who Ever Is Working That Day) & Then They Give Me A BS Answer Or They Act Dumb. Sadly I Don't Think I'll Ever Be Back. Sucks. The Food Is Really Good. Maybe You Should Consider Hiring Better People W Customer Service.

Tiny little place, as soon as we walked in we were acknowledged. They were super friendly. The food was beyond delicious. The cueritos, carnitas and buche. How can you even pick one! Everything is good. Try it!
