I stopped by about a week ago and got the corn on the cob with everything. The corn was fresh. It tasted delicious. Only complaint is the cost. The service was quick.

Was coming down from the mountains when I craved food. For those who have followed me being Paleo, I decided to give Pescatarian (vegetarian + fish) a try for 40 days, so whatever I ate needed to fall into this category. A quick Yelp search yielded some results, but one word caught my eye: ELOTE. For those who are unfamiliar, elote is basically loaded corn on the cob. If you're like me and don't like wiping your mouth all the time whilst you eat, there's esquites, which is loaded corn on the cob in a cup. I stepped in and was immediately greeted. The theme is green and yellow, and there was a futból game playing for more ambiance. I went in knowing I wanted a bowl, though I needed to try the esquites. NEITHER disappointed. Esquites had the right ratio of cheese, corn, mayo, and hot sauce / Tajín (I love lots of cheese in my esquites). The bowl was legit a two-serving bowl, loaded with roasted corn and pinto beans, veggies, and my protein selection: grilled seasoned tofu. Wow. Give it a go. Will return on my next trip to Escondido!

We've tried the carne asada baked potatoes, tacos, quesadillas, elotes, and aguas!! Everything was good. Go try it! They've got beer too

I just now left Elote Escondido, I got my food, not even a minute later I went back and said it was cold and if they heat up their baked potato. they said yes & so I told them it was cold and they said "they couldn't do anything about it" it's a business, yes, you can re-make the order. paid $25 for cold food & horrible service. a good service is when you take action and fix the issue. I would NEVER recommend anyone to come here again. both the potato and corn were cold, we ended up throwing it away. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I just recently went to Elote for the first time. I never went in because I just assumed that it was just Elote. Apparently I was wrong. The best way to describe the menu, you order Chipotle style. Side note, this place is extremely better. I ordered the carne asada nachos. I am going to tell you their carne asada is one of the best I had in a long time. You can put unlimited of toppings which was all fresh. The owner is extremely nice. Willing to say hello and make sure everything is to perfection. He started Friday night market with about 15 vendors. It is worth going to. This one vendor there that makes AMAZING churros. I wish I can remember the name of the vendor, but you cannot miss it. If you ever in North County please check it out.

This restaurant is spacious, colorful, and has 2 tvs. I dont remember if they serve beer, but they have glass bottle beverages and agua Fresca. It's a fun twist on a taqueria... we don't have anything similar to this where we live. The esquite cups are delicious, and you can taste that the corn has been roasted. In our pictures, the plate on the left is a baked potato (which was my favorite) and on the right was the fries. The plate by itself is a bowl, although there are options to add veggies which I really liked.

This was the best Mexican food I’ve had in months. I made my own bowl with corn as my base with butter and sour cream, carne asada, grilled veggies, spinach, and avocado on top. So good!

The esquites is so delicious! We have visited the location in old town San Diego and were in the Escondido area so we had to try this location too. You can order ahead and pick up. There are also banquet style tables inside to eat there.

My wife and I were starving after work. Looking through the Doordash options we saw Elote. I have had a couple of jobs in Valley Center and stop at their road side stand often. So naturally agreed to try their restaurant options. We were soooo satisfied. Fresh ingredients and authentic flavors were blowing us away. We will definitely be ordering from and most likely visiting their spot in the near future!

I love this place. They offer corn in a cup with mayo and spices. Very good snack! They are located in a very cute little market. I always stop by them when I visit old town. The lady behind the counter is always very friendly and helpful.
