Sadly, the only businesses Esco (even West Esco) seems to be able to support are the cheapest of the cheap and worst of the worst - the shameful likes of Burger King and Wendy's live on for decades - and places with a -slightly- higher price point like Which Wich and Five Guys swiftly go out of business. In-N-Out and Habit remain for -now- thankfully. And since San Marcos doesn't have this problem their Five Guys 5 miles away lives on if I ever have a desire to have one of their burgers. Ordered a final burger here last week - double bacon for $12 - and the bun was super soggy. So maybe this location had been "mailing it in" for awhile. Still - doubtful it gets replaced by anything cool though as Esco doesn't support nice things. Maybe they can tear the kitchen out and put something like a pawn shop in that won't have to close a couple years after opening.

What happened to this location? Decided to give them a visit after seeing how busy in and out was. Walked in and there was no line and only one customer waiting. I thought, sweet, this should be quick. I was wrong. After messing up the initial order at the counter we thought we had everything back on track. Except after waiting about fifteen minutes our order was no where to be found and a couple orders behind us already had gone out. I went to the pick up counter and saw one of our orders just sitting to the side and asked if it was ready and if the second order was right behind it. There was confusion for a while before they realized they either never made it or threw it into someone else's bag. So now there was one stale order that never got called out and one missing one with no real apology or solution offered other than a confused staff. At least they processed the refund quickly if that helps you decide whether or not to give them a try. We went to In N Out after and had our food within minutes, as a plus it was all of our order and correct. Imagine a business that does that.

Great food! Highly recommend you try A1 sauce with your hamburger or cheeseburger. So good. ? Wish it wasn't so dang pricey though- almost $40 for my love and I. We'll definitely return though :)

NO STARS IF POSSIBLE! avoid this location! Me and my family don't often go to 5 guys and hadn't been to this location maybe in 2 years. Yesterday I decided to treat me and my family to burgers and fries. Our burgers were to go and by the time we got home which was less than 10 mins. our burgers were so cold and the bread was SO SOGGY like wet and leaking watery mayo! I'm not the type to complain, So we still ate our burgers but halfway through all of our burgers meat was STILL RAW! I almost threw up! The bun was super covered in mayo to the max it looked like ranch! I assume our food was rushed since they were close to closing. Which I understand it's a friday and they want to close ASAP but dang giving your customers crappy food? come on! I called today and spoke to Alfonso the manager, there was no appology or say he'd speak to his crew :/ I did get a refund and will never ever be back at this location. To top it off NOT EVEN THE FRIES WERE GOOD! they were hard and not fresh! THIS PLACE IS GROSS!

Double cheese Hamburger with lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup and grilled onions was delicious. I hadnt eaten that day and loaded my hamburger lots of extras. Everything was perfect and the french fries were yummy. Definitely going back. A little pricey but i really enjoyed the meal.

Okay to preface this I want to say that I didn't get any food. I was simply doordashing. However they almost forgot the soda for the order and did forget 1 of the items (I felt bad. The customer came outside after I dropped off the food and asked if there was anything else) but the reason why I'm giving it such a low review is because I saw one of the workers scrape off something on the bottom bun of an order with his fingers, then wipe his fingers on the side of the trash can, and then proceed with making the burger with the same bun. GROSS. Bro just get a new bun. If there was a mistake on what you put on it just get a new one. And don't wipe your finger on the trash can, just get a new pair of gloves. That person is filthy. If someone gets sick in the next couple days and just ate 5 guys yesterday, you now know why.

This has always been our favorite 5 guys. When our kids football practice field was across the street this 5 guys was always so friendly to them. They let them use their bathrooms to change and let them fill up their water containers. All the boys sat outside at their tables until they were picked up by their parents. It was great for them to have a safe and friendly place to hang out. It's not very often you get an establishment that is friendly to teenagers. And because of it they received a lot of business from our families as well. Thank you!!
