Took a chance in hopes of finding a hidden gem- for Business Meetings or to scout out local Entertainment for a Music Label. If you simply Speak up for yourself- watch out. What a dump!!! How does a place like this stay in business?? Off of credit cards barely hanging by the thread? I've been to this place every 3 - 4 years since west valley parkway Fogorties was open and the place was always bad! Bunch of dumb ignorant never been anywhere bartenders that have no idea how to do a customer service and make sure customers get served first and be number one and then continue what you were doing after that. Only a matter of time before this dump is out of business as a part of Escondido's decline and reason why people are moving out of this dump. Zero stars lol

Accessibility: the bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible. Experience: I don't really care for this bar much. Often times, there are kind of icky men hanging out here, but the bar has fun decorations on the walls, and the bar tenders are actually pretty attentive to getting everyone drinks. You can play pool here, pick a song to play overhead, dance, or just drink and talk. It has its pros and cons.

I've never eaten at Pounders so I can't rate them. I have been there for drinks though.Bartenders are attentive and the drinks are good.Perfect setting for a great bar.:)

Very interesting that I left a review last night and now it's gone Anyway I'm here again to let everyone know this place is garbage and the women that work here don't tend to or care about other women that are being harassed by so called "regulars" and would rather take their money than respect the fact that we were being bothered by a creepy man The bartender pulled my full beer away for absolutely no reason and kicked me and my friends out because we were letting them know a man was hovering over us Don't come here especially if you're a woman If I could leave 0 stars I would

Stay away from this place. The bartenders are horrible, and the place smells like piss. There are plenty of other great places in Escondido to grab a drink.
Horrible customer service. I walked in with a backpack on. Was told it was not allowed & I could leave it outside. I'm not leaving a $100 pack with a $250 jacket in it outside. How about offering to hold it behind the bar or providing a place inside? I didn't drive because I was going to be drinking. I was being responsible, which is why I had my pack (to hold my jacket & food that I may purchase on my way home). I've been here before & enjoyed the experience. How about eliminating the problem customers instead of alienating good customers. If bringing in a backpack is an issue, MAYBE JUST MAYBE, it's THE CUSTOMERS THAT YOU ALLOW INSIDE!!!! I'll never go back, however, I appreciate the experience, because I discovered Pizzeria, which allowed me to enter with my pack. It was also a much more welcoming & clean environment. Pizzeria also had over 30 people inside compared to pounders 4. Although I never tried Pounders food, I would not, considering the environment I walked into. I'm not that desperate for food I would not hesitate to order at Pizzeria, which I will, to take home. Pounders is a dive bar. I like dive bars. However, if you have issues with people with backpacks then you have an issue with whom you allow in the bar & how you deal with it. I have no problem never returning. THANK YOU FOR INTRODUCING ME TO PIZZERIA

haha theirs no food, the service completely sucks. I ordered my third beer and before I can even take my first sip. some cheesy "bouncer" come up to me and tells me the bar tender wanted me to leave. I haven't been given any reasons so why or wtf is going on. so I left. then now the next day I see that they racked up my card they had on a tab for $80 haha I genuinely had three beers and got robbed. personally F this place I've never had a good experience there.

Oct 21 2023 Just left this place with my money in hand. Asked the bartender for a cocktail, specifically not jack and coca cola.So I ask for a mixed cocktail drink, something, strong, sweet. No vodka. No tequila no mint no old fashioned, specifically a mixed and straind drink. And he then looks confused and stalls........(there was also no line behind me)Next thing he sais is I'll give you a jack and coke. And I responded No I'm good... and left.Oct 22 2023 So it's the next day now, I recieved a reply from the owner as seen in the comments. But I can't reply to his page.So to answer the question of what I really want as asked by the owners page... I want......or wanted was exactly what I asked for at the time. The order as listed above. But that moment has passed. No hard feelings just wanted to put this out there.... and maybe get bartenders that can make a cocktail, you have all the stuff. And I'm willing to pay more money for a decently made cocktail.
