This restaurant has been closed permanently. Yelp needs a new update. Bought a gift certificates from Costco just to find out there is no more RMG locations in San Diego. The nearest one from this location is the one in Temecula.

I believe this location is now closed. It was completely dark 01/05/22. Reported to Yelp. Wish owner would update status.

We made reservations for 2pm, we arrived at 1:48. After waiting some time a server came to the front to greet us and told us to come back a little later as there weren't enough staff members to cover the tables. There were only three tables in use. Anyway we killed about 20 minutes and came back. We stood at the front waiting for 10 minutes, we walked out as no one came to acknowledge us. The stench of that place is enough to tell you to turn around. So sorry things didn't go better as we love the food.

The food was not bad; but I ordered coffee and the waiter told me - they do not have coffee, with no real explanation as to why. I had follow up questions, but all the waiter robots can say is 'how is everything tasting?'. (an odd trend in many restaurants lately). But seriously they do not serve coffee. I will never go again. I like coffee (w/ dinner w/ desert). Didn't even ask if they had desert, what would be the point.

Our reservation was for 5:00 P.M. and we didn't get seated until 6:00. When we arrived the hostess said they were getting our table ready; It takes an hour to get a table ready? Waitress was friendly but very few wait people. Ran out of glassware. Food was warm, but not hot. Turkey was delicious, but brussels sprouts had an unusual taste. We took our desserts home and they were generous in size. Normally Macaroni Grill gets people in and out. Not sure if this experience was due to Thanksgiving or covid; lack of help.

We've been there many times before and never had a problem. The problem was not theirs entirely, but they appeared to be unprepared to deal with staffing, etc. problems. Our waiter (Maxx) tried his best but there were kitchen problems: the bread was not baked and the salad "chef" was having an "issue". The food, when we finally got it, was fine. Because of our previous experiences there, we won't hold this against them.

We used our coupons and enjoyed a good dish, Chicken Scalopine, and great service for a great price. This place has courteous and knowledgeable servers. Clean, friendly, delicious food, good ambiance.

Put in an order for pick up I get an email 15 min before I was supposed to pick up my food saying it never got submitted, called placed the order and the person on the other line said it'll be about 20-30 minutes. Got there 35 min later they said they were just waiting on bruschetta 40 minutes later after waiting in the restaurant to pick up my food I finally got my whole order. Staff was not very nice. I kept asking when my order was going to be done and got ignored all the staff saw me standing there waiting. Spent $93 here got home and 2 of my dishes has a hair in the food Threw it away $40 worth at least my other dishes didn't have hair in it. This place is not worth the price or food. Should work on customer service and getting food that's to go out in a timely manner. Will definitely not come back.

We were looking forward to a pasta dinner before a big cycling event. We arrived early around 4:30. We ordered a beer and glass of wine. Shortly after around 5 nasty flys joined our table. Even the waiter tried to catch them in his hands. Are entire meal we were batting at flys trying to keep them out of our drinks and food. Not once did they offer to move us. I guess you might expect this if you were sitting outside but we were dining in.

Food was not great, they did not have a couple of things available, leaving the choices to a minimum for a vegetarian member of our party. Overall, for quality of food and experience, the other large chain Italian place is better.

Very slow service all the way around. There was maybe 10 patrons in the whole place. It was crazy. Had to waive down someone to help every time even had to ask for the check and then wait and wait and then get up and show I am leaving for someone to take my payment. This was at 1230pm. Never again. There are so many other restaurants that are better. The salmon was horrible.........

Recent trips to Romano's have been disappointing. I've received my Bibb & Blue salad with missing ingredients on more than one occasion. It's one thing to be missing the crispy prosciutto or the walnuts but when the blue cheese crumbles aren't on the salad it's simply not acceptable. Today my sautéed spinach was swimming in oil and the chicken marsala contained 26 cloves of garlic. Who ever saw a chicken marsala recipe with garlic? Not me! And service was slow. One cook and one server who also had to function as hostess & bartender. Pathetic.

We have eaten at this location many times and WERE happy with the food. BUT, we ate there last night 11\8\21 and very very turned off by the whole experience. As soon as we walked in the door, there was a foul odor inside. The receptionist showed us to a table, past many empty tables needing to be cleaned, and sat us near the kitchen. The table had no place settings just the menus that she drop off. The waitress took our order for drinks. My wife ordered iced tea. We were told that they had no iced tea. What restaurant runs out of iced tea? What manager doesn't just go to a grocery store and buy some instead of telling your patrons that you just don't have any? We made our order which included their lobster bisque soup. In the past the soup had been delicious. This time, it had absolutely no lobster taste whatsoever. We didn't bother finishing the soup. We asked the waitress what that foul odor was. She told us that there was a clogged sewer pipe in the kitchen. So the foul smell was "sewer gas". You can imagine how our food tasted with the smell of sewer gas in our noses. We packed up our food and left. I may not go back to this restaurant. What decent manager would allow his restaurant to operate when it is full of sewer gas? Why didn't they get a plumber in to fix it immediately? Why wouldn't they at least give notice to people coming in that there was a problem before seating them? Why would they allow patrons to be seated next to the kitchen where the smell was coming from? Poor management is ruining this restaurant!

The food was excellent and fresh with the create your own pasta entree, where you select you pasta, sauce and ingredients. I was missing the spinach from mine and indicated it to the server. He then brought out a plate of sauted spinach, so after adding some to my pasta, I had enough also for a side dish.

I ordered take out and I got there a little before the estimated time and walked inside. The hostess came and I told her I was there for pick up and she pointed to the back of the restaurant for take out pickups. As I walked through the restaurant the floors were sticky, and it smelled TERRIBLE in there. Like sewage, and that's not an exaggeration. I had to wait a few minutes for my food to be ready which I wouldn't have minded but there was no where to sit and wait, and the smell was overwhelming. When I got my food home the fried cheese was disgusting and tasted like frozen. Overall not impressed and not coming back.
