So I don't do reviews often but I just came to Star House for my very first time and I was as felt like family! The woman in front made me feel like she was my grandma and treated me with so much honor and respect. She was amazing. So kind and comfortable. I live so close and accidentally was a few dollars short. She literally told me to enjoy myself and enjoy my food and gave it to me no extra charge. Come here if you want good kind service!

The lo main was spaghetti noodles. Service was great, very nice and timely. The food was just very bad. No crabragoons, fried rice was just white rice, Mongolian beef was just a copious amount of spring onions and a bit of beef. Over all nice place but wouldn't go back to eat.

Food was bland. Got charged 17$ for one regular order of beef lo mein. The people were very nice but the food is bad and to add insult to injury it gave me food poisoning. The inside was gross. All I could see in the kitchen was a bunch of dirty pans stacked in the sink. The tables and chairs were sticky to the touch and it smelled bad. I don't normally write such mean reviews, but this place is a disgrace. I'm sorry to the owners. I know they're probably doing their best, but it isn't very good. I can't possibly imagine how this restaurant has garnered 4.2 stars. Maybe it was better back in the day. Never coming back. Disgusting.

Lovely little neighborhood mom and pop shop. Fire Szechuan style Chinese restaurant. The owners are the chef, waiter and server. Food is tasty and portions are generous. Come here hungry and leave satisfied and sleepy lol. This is currently our go to spot for Chinese food. Better than any chain spots around Escondido.

I have known Nancy for over 30 years. She remembers everyone's order and likes. I knew her when she started on Nordahl. My son is now 27 and my daughter is 10. We visited today and felt loved from the most amazing woman I have ever known. The food was mouth watering and plentiful. She has given everything she can to her customers. If you want to be a part of her heart then come and enjoy her recipes and undying kindness!!! Customer service is everything these days!
