I have been coming here a few times a week for almost 3 years now. I really like my sandwhiches! However, the past few months, I feel like this place is just going down. They got rid of the staff and hired some young kids who lack the customer service and friendly/family feel of the old staff. The new owner always seems in a bad mood and the amount of ingredients on the sandwhiches have become less but the prices have gone up. If I want extra of something, and I know I have to pay for it now, that should be the end of the conversation. Miss the old staff. This place isn't what it used to be. Customer service goes a long way.

I've been coming here for 10 years. Today my 1/2 tuna sandwich was so tiny with so little tuna. And no more teachers discount! So, a tiny 1/2 tuna sandwich with chips over $10. I'm going to try jersey mikes

We had a snooty employee interaction, the sandwich fillings were lacking, the store is old and outdated and the restroom is kind of gross....Go to another location for a great experience, this one is sub-par for me

Great sandwich, well worth the money. All ingredients tasted fresh. The guy who helped was polite and welcoming. The restaurant was clean and comfortable to eat in.
We are long-time customers and have always appreciated the great service and food quality. Our last visit was about 2 weeks ago and noticed that new people were working and a young woman seemed to be guiding them. Prices and portions seemed normal. Today I put in an online order since family is here and we had a larger order. I didn’t realize the online platform costs more for every item, at least $2 per sandwich. When I picked up the order it was ready early, which was nice, and it seems everything was correct. BUT the amount of ingredients between the bread was HALF of the normal amount. Even my 12-year old granddaughter noticed! Also noticed the price was up about a dollar on the menu there, then $2 added online. I asked about the higher price online and a nice young man explained it was due to the online platform thru door dash. He did mark my punch card and was very friendly.

The reason I am giving this location such a low rating is because I had lunch here several days ago and the new owners have no clue when it comes to health department and changing their gloves. I witnessed while sitting in the restaurant eating my lunch they touched the phone, the register, cash, stamping a frequent buyer card and back to handling food their gloves were never changed. I don't know what else was possibly touched when they were out of sight I don't want to think about it. They were friendly and I got the impression this is the lady's first work experience, good for her!Hopefully, these people learn to constantly change their gloves after touching things that aren't food and after touching foods because of food allergies and vegetarians.The food is decent here this location has always skimpy with the avocado by not cutting it according to corporate standards which is length wise instead they slice it sideways to get more slices (some other locations do this too) this makes the slices very small/short when placing on the sandwich.If I go back in the future and see changes I will update this and give them a better rating.

Have been enjoying Submarina since I was a child in the late 90's-early 2000's when they were at their old location. Sad to say the other day will probably be the last time I visit. None of the old friendly crew I'm familiar with have been there the past few times I've gone in. Not sure if new management or what. I ordered two sandwiches, an ATC and a triple play. When it came time to add toppings to my second sandwich, I was asked if I wanted mayo/mustard. And before I even had time to take a breath and answer "no mayo, just mustard please." , mayo was already slapped onto my sandwich. Ok whatever, I said it was fine, not the end of the world, I'll eat it. Then as they were being wrapped up, I asked if I could get a couple sides of dressing. After he (who I assume to be the new manager) looked in the back counter cold case I was told they were all out. Even though there were 2 full bottles sitting on the front counter. I said alright, that's fine, I'll survive. The person who rang me up was kind enough to grab two side containers and squeeze out some dressing on the side for me. (Shoutout to that employee, I appreciate it!) Not sure what happened to this place but it's definitely been on the decline the past couple months. Really bummed because it used to be my go to spot for a good sandwich with great service.
