It's a courthouse. What do you expect?

This cafe is clean, warm and well run. The salad bar is fully stocked and has a variety of items. The employees are always welcoming and the owner works there as well. The breakfast burritos are ample. Good resource for those who work in the courthouse.

If you are coming for jury duty, bring snacks and drinks. They have coffee and hot water for tea in the jury room. The vending machines they used to have are gone!

A lovely welcoming atmosphere and delicious food! Lots of fresh items or ready to go, I mean, deviled eggs?!? The best.

I work in the building and would eat lunch here several days a week if it were edible. Greasy fried egg in a breakfast burrito? They screw up basics that seem impossible to ruin. Rotten "baked" potato from the microwave, wrapped in melting plastic? Seriously rotten spots throughout potato. There's no way they didn't notice while preparing it. I once got a sandwich on a croissant that was supposed to be cold, but it had been left by the stove and all the cold toppings were wilted and warm.
Had to grab a breakfast burrito real quick!!! These things come in 3 sizes, small, medium, and large. Beware, the large is a beast!!! They were out of hash browns this late in the day so they substituted tater tots instead. I think I will order them that way from now on if they'll let me, that was amazing!!!

My previous review was actually meant to be for Downtown Express. I don't believe I've eaten at the Courthouse Cafe. Oops.

I ordered a burrito, a small fry, and a black and white mocha espresso. The lady behind the counter (who is also the manger apparently) appeared annoyed within the first minute of our brief encounter. She was extremely annoyed that i was paying with DA vouchers and when i canceled something i ordered, she threw the voucher at me. The fries were under cooked and soggy, the burrito was undercooked and even cold in some places, and the mocha was frothy and flavorless.During my time there she huffed and puffed and rolled her eyes multiple times. When i called to speak with a manager, she revealed that it was she who had cooked and when i told her what was wrong with the food, instead of apologizing and trying to make it better the next time she told me "too bad" and " i dunno what to tell ya"

The Cafe is clean, well decorated, and of course well staffed!! My sister, Jeanne, is awesome, and it was an honor to be a part of the team that helped her get it ready for business! Lots of Eureka family went for lunch on her opening day, and I had the special (French Dip and Fries) which was completely delicious and a great value! Oh, and Meagan, who has worked at the cafe for YEARS is a great addition to our famly! : )
Great salad bar and selection. Short order grill.
