The food was amazing!!! But there are repairs needed on the ceiling wallpaper/paint is peeling. The service was great but it did take quite a long time to put in an order and such. Fortunately, I wasn't in much of a hurry.

Gabriel's has a moderately friendly staff and food was passable for a higher priced restaurant for Humboldt county. The big issue was what I saw on the ceiling fans. We were seated on the second floor which is open to one side so you can see down to the first floor where people are seated. While looking down, you can see the ceiling fans which are above some tables - the fans were disgusting. There was a very thick layer of dust and chunks of derbies that was laying on the fans. We wondered if that is how they clean what was visible, how clean are the other areas?

We had such an extraordinary dinner last night. Gabriel’s has never disappointed but last night with the power out downtown we had the pleasure of dining with a full house by candlelight. Our waiter went above and beyond bringing out course after course hot and seasoned perfectly even though I can’t imagine how the kitchen could pull that off with the lights out! Perfect N.Y. strip, fresh pasta al mare & chicken parm were all excellent . The live music was superb with the local guitar vocalist who entertained us all joyfully. What a special night and one we will remember well. Thank you!!!

The food was excellent., though I felt their Marche salad was underdressed. A very nice selection of wines and cocktails and a well stocked bar. What was surprising was we were a party of two and we asked for separate checks and was told by the server that there would be a 25% gratuity added to our check for the inconvenience of having separate checks. It is certainly nothing I've ever heard of before in any restaurant, and I've been to several where we were five or six of us asking for separate checks and it was handled beautifully. As our evening wore on our server was apparently impressed by our kindness or dismay at the gratuity charge, and proceeded to tell us that he would not be doing that. The cannolis were really good. A nice flaky cinnamon sugared crust and not overly sweet filling. Good fresh seafood and fresh pasta. An excellent meal all in all.

First of all the best part about the entire evening was the guitar player who sang opera! Unbelievably talented person that you must hear! The food was excellent. I had a New York steak that was perfectly cooked medium rare. The appetizers were incredible. The appetizers were great. The only negative I can say is that the Cadillac margaritas were small and didn't taste like there was any Grand Marnier in it. I would suggest you ask for a separate shot a Grand Marnier if you order the margarita. The creme brulee was really good.

Wow! Haven't been in years and I'm wondering why! Amazing and well made Italian food. Everything is fresh and prepared on point. The night we went they had a live guitarist and singer performing. Great drinks and wine. The servers were extremely good and we had a wonderful time. Will be back allot sooner next time.

Family owned and ran. I love all of them so much..I have been going to Gabriel's since they opened, almost 24 years ago. It is absolutely amazing food with large portions and a full bar. Everyone that works there greets us with a smile, often times a hug too.Their unique styles and sauces always impress me. I often order the same thing and never get tired of the flavors. I would recommend them to anyone, its worth it!!

Waited over an hour and fifteen minutes for food that never arrived.Despite the wait the staff never refilled our bread and told us multiple times the food was "ready in a few minutes".Would not reccomend.

We enjoyed the steamer clams, marche salad, really delicious tomato bisque, and my husband said that was the best NY steak he's had eating out. Great service and value. Crème brûlée was really nice too.
