I ate there and had a fantastic sandwich and salad. I got pecan bars and cookie sandwiches and seven grain bread to go. The people were pleasant, service was quick and the baked goods phenomenal.Dietary restrictions: I eat a dairy free diet and was able to eat there.

We came here for a work lunch. I had a sandwich (can't remember exactly what it was) but I just remembered that it was so flavorful and yummy!!! We even came back a second time!!!!

Lately the workers have had attitudes! As well as we pay hella for a damn sandwich and can’t even choose a cookie because “their was a lot of going back and fourth” when the cookie counter is right their. It’s ridiculous. They aren’t cheap either.

My family and I dined at Hometown Emporium just before Thanksgiving, and we rather enjoyed the sandwiches. I had a grilled vegetable sandwich on focaccia, if memory serves. It was really good. To balance this, I went there today for lunch, and had the hot open faced turkey sandwich. Two bites was all I could manage. There wasn't much flavor to speak of; while it was clearly not rancid or spoiled or anything like that, there was an unusual odor emanating from it. The "mashed potatoes" were very lumpy; they were more like simply crushed potatoes. There wasn't a lot of flavor in the gravy. As noted before, I managed two bites of each, and that was it. While I can heartily recommend the grilled sandwiches, stay as far away from the open faced turkey as you possibly can. My star rating averages the very good and the very bad.

Wow! Just had a quick bite (fried bologna sandwich) & it was Perfect. Not only does it smell like "goodness" in there, but the employees radiate it. Thank you for making my morning so pleasant!

We were hungry after antique shopping. Most sandwiches are made with the fresh in house baked bread. Sourdough was amazing! My pastrami was so so good. We then proceeded to purchase every (well almost) baked treat they offer. Be sure to tell them what kind of cookie you prefer when you order or you get what they give you....not that it matters. It was all delicious. Thank you for a lovely lunch with my daughter and aunt.

Friendly little bakery and sandwich shop. Greeted all around with smiles and welcome. We were getting a snack before deciding what our evening dinner plans would be. Shared a tasty grilled bologna sandwich on their house made bread with a side of potato salad and a cookie. Everything was very good, and clearly made to please. Snickerdoodle cookie was great. We will go back for more yumminess on our next trip to town
