Before COVID, they were very good. When they reopened, food quality was seriously degraded.

Never eaten here, and based on the past reviews I never will. Is it that hard to have good customer service? Is it that hard to train or hire employees who actually bring in more business and can competently and hygienically make the item that is literally in the name of the restaurant? Reading past reviews of this place and even recent ones, I genuinely question if places like this are malicious in nature. Wouldn't be surprised if they hired people with Epstein Barr virus based on the restaurant name lol

The food was okay. Service was horrible for the expensive price. Probably not coming back unless I was forced to.We come in, we are greeted and sat in very close range of the other tables. The whole restaurant had like five or six tables squashed together in a small patio room with two or three tables in the actual restaurant. We sat down, asked if we wanted ice water. We said yes and the server walked away. We sat, waiting for our waters. And kept waiting... And waiting. Another guy came by asking if we wanted soda. Maybe that'll come out faster so we did. After a few minutes he brought them out ... Along with our ice water ?. He brought out my friends beer and my kids dr pepper. I said hold up, where's my Dr pepper with no ice and my friends kids sprite. Mind you this boy had a salty little attitude on him. He walked away and came back with the rest of the drinks after we ordered. Just fyi, their menu is extremely messy, looks like a damn monopoly board. We sat and enjoyed our drinks for a tiny bit while watching everyone else who got to the restaurant after us, get their food. Then our food came. ONE Kids bento box, sushi rolls, our appetizers we ordered ? and my hand rolls and the California rolls along with THREE chopsticks. We said hold up, where's the other kids bento box. We ordered TWO kids bento box and only got one. Salty dude left again and my kid ate her box while the other kid just picked at the California roll. Finally after a bit the bento came out, didn't even come with a fork. I did not leave a tip.

Went there during the buy two rolls, get one free time with my wife and kids. After receiving my bill, I noticed that I was supposed to get an extra roll that they didn’t tell me about (paid for 8 rolls, so should have gotten 4 free, they provided 3). When I went and asked for my free roll, they gave it to me. However, I found that to be pretty deceptive and just simply bad customer service to not tell me that I had another free roll, even though perhaps I should have been paying attention and not blindly trusting a business to be honest. I spent over $100 on sushi, and to try and cheat me out of a roll is just ghetto. Sushi was pretty good, but won’t be going back though. It’s okay, there’s a lot of good sushi spots in Sac.

I like this spot, I've been a couple times and it has been quality food. The menu is not huge, and they tend to use a lot of immitation "krab", but if you enjoy traditional nigiri and maki you will be fine the fish seems fresh and portions are good. I also have enjoyed the bento box meals, they are a good deal and taste very fresh and delicious. I have only sat in the back of the dining area it's pretty small just three tables. The side room that has the bigger tables for groups of 3-4 or more is a little strange, but i just sit in the back dining area it's fine for me.
