I love Famous Dave's BbQ and have been to many of their locations. But tonight in the Fairfield CA location I was not very happy with the service. The food as always was excellent. But the service was horrible from the front desk cashier. I place an order for a 9 bone rib combo. I told her what sauce I wanted when I ordered. I proceeded to sit near the bar by the front door where she could see me. She had told me the order would be about 10 minutes or so. About 20 minutes had passed and I go back to the cashier and I asked if that was my order sitting there. She says it is. I told her I was sitting right there so she could see me why didn't she let me know my order was ready. She says ohhh I thought you left. She never bothered to look for me at the bar by the door. I wasn't happy. Then when I get home back to Sacramento I open my bag and their is no napkins, no fork or spoon and no bbq sauce. I had kept looking over to the front waiting on my order and never once did she turn around to see me as she was chit chatting with another employee the whole time. My rating for the food is 5 stars as always but I would give her a 1 star. So my overall rating I am giving this experience is 2 stars.

They post coupons in local papers. You must order from their app. The problem is: I’ve never been able to figure out how to apply the coupon. It’s extremely difficult and frustrating! No one at the Fairfield location knows enough to help out. Dave is not making any friends by the way the coupons works.

Food 4 stars, 5 stars at other Famous Dave's. Service at the Rancho Cucamonga restaurant was awful 0 stars. Placed a take out order, went to pick it up and no one at to go counter! Rang bell after 5 minutes no response, I yelled you have3 customers waiting on orders and response was in a minute! After 10 minutes someone finally arrived and I said cancel my order, I want a refund! Worst customer service ever! As for ambiance

I came here with a friend and we were both surprised this was a different restaurant, Johnny Carino's! Find out, inside Famous Dave's is running a "Ghost" kitchen outta here. I had to look this up online .... The BBQ franchise is partnering with Bluestone Hospitality Group to open both Famous Dave's ghost kitchens and dual restaurant concepts with the group's Italian brand, Johnny Carino's. Here's the link: My friend picked the place ... I thought we were gonna go to a sit down BBQ place! He's thinkin fast and says, we'll get it take out and it's a nice day, we'll eat in the back of my longbed pickup, I got folding chairs and a little table! Oh, how redneck of you ... good thinkin, there's a shady spot across the parking lot! We get a full rack of ribs to go with side selection of fries. I've never been to a Famous Dave's BBQ, so this'll be new. We get the box ... wow, that seems a little small for a whole rack of ribs! But I guess they got 'em all stuffed in there! The ribs were tasty enough, not over cooked to falling off the bone. I preferred them with no sauce. We got sauce in these little ass packets that don't hold much anyways. Not the worst ribs I've had ... better than Dicky's ribs. OK, done eatin in the back of the truck and on to the rest of this "date"! I don't think I'll wanna get food here again, maybe if it was sit down dining , but not to go. What if you get ribs to go and then took them into Johnny Carino's and ordered drinks!? Some should try that!

Service was fine. My order was ready when I got there. The food wasn't good. I ordered the $5 sandwich and gave it away because it had no sauce, and the meat wasn't like real bbq. It was more like meat that was processed to taste like bbq. I won't go again

My first experience with famous Dave’s was at the Great Mall Of America in Minnesota. Ever since they are to me second to none. Best ribs I’ve ever had Kenny Rogers Dickeys don’t even come close neither does Texas

My husband & I used to go to Famous Dave's near Phoenix AZ. This is still my favorite Bar-B-Que restaurant!!Those ribs are FANTASTIC!!!!I wish they would come closer to Citrus Heights!!!

Not good. Go to Dan's BBQ. We ordered for our entire jobsite and the brisket, ribs, chicken, and mac & cheese where all barely edible. Had plates to take home they just end up in the trash.

Johnny Carino's used to be a great place to go, but it seems it has gone down quite a bit. What help there is seems to be doing double or triple duty so there is a long wait for service. Prices have gone up quite a bit and some portions are smaller. The last couple times there I haven't seen more than 8-10 inside. The food is still good and enjoyable.
