The restaurant closed in 2020 due to the pandemic, but the bakery is still in business. Growing up and living in Southern California most of my life, I have not found a better bakery. This one is by far the best. Most bakeries close early. Mi Amigo is open seven days a week, from 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily.
Mi Amigo Panaderia is the best place in Fallbrook to get fresh authentic Mexican and especially, pan dulce. It is always fresh and soft, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Major Market, El Toro Market, and Northgate Market all import their pan dulce from elsewhere, and it is just not as fresh or delicious. If you want fresh done right; come to Mi Amigo.

This will be the best pan dulce you've ever had (not including Mexico of course ). The conchas and cuernitos come out fresh every morning. I recommend getting there early for the best bread.
