“We stopped by for lunch on a recommendation from a business owner on the square. Did not disappoint. Our waiter was great and the food was delicious. I loved that our waiter wrapped up our sandwiches to take to-go for us. We all had the other half for dinner. Great place for kids as well. Salad bar is small (in a good way-everything super fresh) and it was nostalgic in the best way. Will definitely return the next time we travel through that area.“

“We have found a new favorite place to eat .Fortuna is sitting on a Goldmine of eats here. The menu is large ,so many choices .Nicole our waitress was just such a delight . So informative , she had great suggestions . She took very good care of us at the table ! Thanks Nicole we will be back to see you too !Double D’s is a small quaint little gem so be sure to make a reservation for dinner to secure your spot . Dinner fills up . Only 17 tables.You will not be hungry when you leave Double Ds , you may need a wheelbarrow to haul you out though !We had antipasto plate, raviolis , salad and soup .Table bread is fresh and warm , all before you get your meal . I had the rib eye and it was one of the best I have had . Very good beef cooked to perfection (MR) . So tasty .This Bloody Mary was a challenge accepted for me . It is a meal in itself with a tasty drink too ! We shared the slider , potato wedges, ribs, wings, chicken tenders as out appetizer for our table . All so very yummy . “Update: We returned to Pepper's again tonight. Joe and his Fortuna Pepper's Team were exceptional. True world class. As always, the food was perfect (Southern Dinner and Baked Lasagna) with chocolate cake for desert! I am here in Fortuna for a few weeks taking care of my father in-law who lost his wife to cancer last week. What really stands out at Pepper's for me is there attention to customer service. Tonight I placed by 5th order with Peppers for a "to go dinner". Of those, 3 of the orders were not what I ordered. When I finally called to complain, the receptionist said they would try to do better and hung up. Really! I expected a little better customer service, but they were not very concerned.
