Ordered a chicken biryani and it took about 45 minutes and the food too was not that great. The one in Roseville used to be good, but this location isn’t able to keep up on quality

Ordered navaratan korma, spicy. Got it as takeout and its literally flavorless. Might as well be eating apple sauce with frozen veggies. You can tell the veggies were all frozen, and given the lack of flavor in the korma all I can taste is the flavor is the soft textureless carrots. Super disappointing because last time I ate here the food was really spicy and flavorful. I could be eating baby food when I specifically ordered spicy. Bummer. Apparently this is not the thing to order. Had a $10 off coupon from clover. The restaurant didn't honor it since they're changing systems. Also a bummer since that was the only reason I went there. Curry club is definitely more consistent in their flavors than curry bowl.

The people at Curry Bowl were very friendly and warm; but, the food was as a bit lackluster. I recently visited and had the chicken tikka masala and while I realize that its not terribly uncommon to use chicken leftover from another dish (this happens quite a bit - usually due to the fact that many Indian restaurants have a lunch buffet and otherwise food would go to waste, so I get it) my chicken had a distinct aftertaste of very markedly reheated chicken. It was also cubed - which is a bit odd in my experience for tikka masala, but not a problem in itself. This was coupled with a tikka masala curry which was surprisingly bland. This is a recipe I make myself at home and I can't imagine how exactly one could make it so bland given the usual ingredients. Fortunately we had a few other dishes which were quite a bit better but the Tikka Masala kind of spoiled my experience with this restaurant and I'm not inclined to return when there are other good options for Indian cuisine not far away.

LOVE this place! Top quality food & you can order mild, medium or super spicy (that choice is VERY rare in an Indian restaurant). Chicken tikka masala is fabulous; pakora is perfectly cooked & not oily. HUGE MENU of BOTH VEGETARIAN & MEAT items! They also do "Dosa night" & "Biryani Night". You'll love it!Vegetarian options: SO MANY VEGETARIAN OPTIONS !! It's hard to find a restaurant with both vegetarian AND meat options. HUGE MENU.Kid-friendliness: Well behaved children are welcome!Parking: Located in the Safeway shopping center (South end). Many parking places!Wheelchair accessibility: Flat entryway, level floors.Dietary restrictions: They will help you choose items that meet your dietary needs.

I ordered food for lunch on a Friday through DoorDash. We had paneer tikka masala, mixed veg, kulcha, aloo paratha , 2 Idlis and egg biriyani. The Idlis were for my son but they looked stale. The edges were hard and I couldn't give him. The curries especially the paneer tikka masala was salty. Mixed veg was good. The kulchas were good but aloo paratha wasn't fried properly. Egg biriyani was also not good, rice grain was hard. I understand the paratha might have been better at dine in but overall we felt it could have been way better.

This place is great. I have eaten here many times and the staff is always friendly, the food is always delicious.Today there was a large family (around 10 people) who caused a scene (yelling at staff) because they waited a long time for their food (over an hour). I understand their frustration, but it is important to remember that this is a small family owned restaurant. They do the best they can! They never have many staff working. If you come to a place like this (especially with a large group), expect a long wait. It is definitely worth it!Kudos to the young girl serving today for handling the difficult customer situation with grace. She is very sweet.

This place was terrible. Me and my family (a group of 9) went in there to have lunch and the restaurant was very dirty. The cups were faced up side down on the tables , so we asked for new cups and the new ones were full of dust and so dirty. We ordered our food, and waited over an hour for our food , while they served everybody else that came in after us. Half our order arrived, and the other half we never even received. The server was terrible. Manager came out and started arguing with us about our order and even told us , we were last to get served because we "had a big group" and everyone else came 1st. Food was cold. Our kids were starving and it was a terrible experience. We left and went to Curry Club 2 mins away and were so Happy and satisfied with our food and SERVICE! We will never be returning to this restaurant!.....Just for your guys information, we were NEVER rude to them. Even after waiting for almost an hour for our food, we still kept calm.. Owner is completely lying in there response and we will never be returning there and we will make sure none of our family or friends go there. Regardless if you feel a customer is being rude, you as a BUSINESS should never be RUDE to your customers!

Worst experience We visited last week during dinner time, it was open, however we have been told that kitchen is really busy and not accepting additional orders. What a disappointment!

Low and behold, a legit and DELICIOUS Indian restaurant so local to us! We're so lucky. We have been on hunt for a good Indian restaurant for years (having lived prior in the Bay, where there have been good places - to San Diego, to Portland) and never, ever found anything that hit the mark, to our misfortune. Curry Bowl is our favorite and go-to, and their butter chicken is a dream! If you haven't already tried them, please do! You will be impressed as well!

Not happy with the way owner decided to handle my catering order. At first he ok'd it, then he sends me an email telling me I cannot because I am busy with other orders. I am ok if the owner said no in the beginning but backing out after saying yes is bad. No business from me in the future

If you want GOAT HAIR in your biriyani, then Curry Bowl is the place to go. Don't hesitate to order, because you'll have fun with your family and friends counting all the goat hairs in your biriyani. Summer fun!People reading this - Save yourself from this place. Usually I don't care much about finding a hair or two in food, because, that can be tolerated and I'll let it go. But I've never seen so much hair in a biriyani, like a dozen or more. It appeared as though someone deliberately did it. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. I contacted the restaurant multiple times to have them rectify the situation. Then the owner, who was not in town, messaged me, apologizing and said he'll refund me 50%. 1 week later, I still don't get the refund. I gave them a chance and it's a shame :( . I dont know if others rating this place high is eating blindfolded. See pics attached.Response to owner: No, I won't give you an "opportunity to serve you better". You said 50% refund and you still havent cared about it. Actions speak louder than words!

We tried this place for the first time. Went for lunch. Service was a bit slow but the food was really good. We ordered the goat curry, chicken tikka masala , alloo paratha and naan. The portions were good and the food was fresh and delicious . Cannot wait to try more dishes. I would come again and definitely recommend this place .

I DoorDashed the Butter Chicken last Friday night and it was soooooo good. It was the best BC I had tasted in a while. It was so good that I decided to order it again on Sunday night, however, I was very disappointed to find that it did not taste the same. The consistency was watery and grainy, not creamy like the first time. It also just did not taste as good. Not sure what caused the dish to be so different only two nights apart, but I'm willing to give them one more shot.

One of the best biryani places! We ordered butter naan, chilly gobi, chilly bajji and biryani. This place has amazing! If you’re a spice lover, then this is an ideal restaurant for you.

I didn't like any of the items I ordered. They are confused between north indian vs south Indian recipes. Never take spring rolls and crispy babycorn from here if you are looking for those really crispy spring rolls or the grilled babycorns.Vegetarian options: They have a lot of veg options Parking: Abundant parking in the complex
