THAT DAM PLACE is a fantastic Cafe. Small but impressive. Starting with the waitress, Creta, sorry about the spelling, a most impressive personality. She related her experiences and the history of the Cafe. In discussing the history, I found that an old friend of mine was a partner of the Cafe. We had fun reminiscing and catching up with our current life. Knowing her love of Folsom and its history, I am positive that she will relate the good, bad and probably the ugly. Getting to the Cafe, I ordered the Cali King. Grilled chicken breast with mayo, lettuce, tomato, avocado, bacon & pepper jack cheese on a brioche bun. I choose side tossed salad, which was delicious. My friend tried the Bob Dole Burgah. Grilled 6oz burger with mayo, lettuce, tomato and Korean BBQ glazed pineapple slices on a brioche bun. She also got a side of Sweet Potato Fries. Everything was so delicious and so well cooked.Sorry, sometimes I forget pictures because of hunger. Next time and there will definitely be a next time.A fantastic combination of food and friendship.

Awesome meal. I usually get the salads, which are delicious. Today I splurged (calorie wise) and got the patty melt and onion rings. My companion got the death sentence burger and fries. Everything was amazing. If you love onion rings....I highly recommend these.

Kid-friendliness: What a hidden gem at the end of a strip mall! It is hard to spot from the street but luckily the reviews are what brought me in.Service was great and the vibe is just as good!I wanted to try the lobster roll but wanted something warm and we ended up ordering just off the specials. We got the “beast burger” mixed with elk, bison, Wagyu and boar meat! I’m not one to eat a game good but this was perfection! Lean burger cooked to perfection and juicy! LEAN and JIUICY! With fresh produce and simple garlic aïoli. I normally go for a something spicy and loaded with stuff in my burgers and this simple burger was just perfect!We also had a perfectly made steak sandwich. I can’t remember the name but it was absolute perfection as well. The fries are tasty seasoned fries that you can’t go wrong with.We will be back to try the lobster roll and other amazing menu items.

I was excited by all the good reviews, but my hot dog came out lukewarm and my french fries had a fishy flavor... The decor was funky, no real theme and just a bunch of random knick knacks. Otherwise the service was good.

We use to really enjoy eating here. Our latest visit on 19 January was not up to what we've encountered in the past. While the service was still friendly and fast, the food was not up to par. Perhaps this was just an off night, I certainly hope so, because we really enjoyed the burgers here.
