Wifes burger was not cooked, cold inside, ribs were reheated, our orders were served 15 minutes apart, drinks were good. Will go back to give it another chance, staff was friendly.

Brisket was DRY and cold, server brought out wrong order came back with missing pieces of order Mac and cheese has no cheese, Cole slaw is sour.. I'm highly disappointed will not be returning. I will say that they compensated by giving us a discount but man i didn't finish my plate. The cornbread was really good but thats it.

Good service, great smelling BBQ, and a nice atmosphere. We sat on the inside patio next to the window overlooking Sutter Street.

Cool looking restaurant, modern but not too trendy. Unfortunately the service was slow. The portion sizes were tiny! Why??? It’s barbecue?! The owner should spend some time in Texas and see how it’s supposed to be done.On top of that, the brisket was bone dry and the pulled pork was almost too bland to eat.Very good, strong smoke flavor if you like that (I definitely do) the cornbread was dry too. It’s got great potential but it honestly feels like they just got a good spot and are using the restaurant to price gouge. A cash cow if you will.I understand times are tough but you should get way more for that steep of a price point.Won’t be back unless something changes, big time.Parking: Very small limited parking lot behind restaurant

We were seated promptly on a Saturday night about 6:00 p.m. . The food was good and the portions were fair and the service was satisfactory. They advertise cornbread with the meals so it's kind of their specialty. However they didn't have any prepared at 6:00 before the evening rush came in and said the kitchen was busy! That is their staple item. We had to wait 20 minutes after our dinner to get the cornbread. Everything was okay except they needed to have a little bit better coordination of supplies and cooking in the kitchen. We would go back if in the area.Vegetarian options: I guess you could go there to eat a salad. Or stay home and have carrots.Dietary restrictions: You better stay home and have your tofu if you're worried about dietary restrictions going to a barbecue joint. You might be better served having a rice cake at the house.Parking: Even at 5:00 at night street side parking is very limited and most of the sizable parking lots are several blocks to the west of the restaurant. Plan on walking as Old Town Folsom just doesn't have space for all of the cool shops and restaurants.Kid-friendliness: Sure. People Even bring their screaming babies. They have kids plates.Wheelchair accessibility: Yeah roll on in.

All aspects of my experience were terrific, but the food definitely stole the show! We started with the nachos, brussel sprouts, and loaded fries, which were all amazing. Then, I had both the brisket and tri tip with mac & cheese and beans for the entree, which was all delicious. I can't forget about the house made cornbread and honey butter....so good. Good barbecue can be tough to find, but I highly recommend J. Wilds!

Enjoyed every part of our dining experience. Tried a few appetizers that set the stage for what was to come. I was so torn on what to order so I shared and was able to get a taste of a few items and I was blown away. The BBQ is cooked to perfection, the bark on their meat and the flavors are unbelievable and do NOT get me started on the cornbread. I made sure to try a few cocktails, 2 margaritas and they were top shelf quality. Made sure we ended with their deserts as I have heard they don't disappoint and I must say, the bread pudding and smore dessert were the perfect finish to our amazing dinner. Will be back for sure.

I can't rate the food because we were put on the waitlisr...waited for 30 minutes then told they were out of food! Like everything on the menu except a burgers and salads. Management and owners need to stop worrying about waste and smoke enought to serve customers. Very very dissappointed.

Delicious!!! Spent the day shopping in Folsom and then trying an escape room on a rainy day weekend. Needed a spot to end the day for a delicious dinner. Yelp led me here and so glad they did!! Drinks were on point, atmosphere was legit and comfortable and the TRI TiP.... Ahhhmmaazziinnngg!!!! Will certainly be back when in the Folsom area. Sidenote, upon arrival we were greeted with the very polite, charismatic gentleman. After sharing our days adventures with him, he shared that he happens to be the owner of the establishment, and was overjoyed to hear of our adventures that led us to his fantastic gem!!!

I could write a novel about how amazing this place is. The food, the staff the atmosphere absolutely everything is spot on wonderful. Hands down the best BBQ my husband and I have ever had. We brought our two year old son and he had a blast listening to the live music and roaming around the restaurant. We love a place that is family friendly. The owners are so nice and we will 10 out of 10 be recommending this place to all our friends and family.Kid-friendliness: Fantastic family friendly restaurant!
