My two cents, have been ordering and dining for the last 15 years here and have seen the quality and service going roller coaster. As of today , reason i stopped ordering was 1. No one picks up when i call. 2. Quality is not par. 3. Catering orders are high, we cannot take to go orders. 4. Please deliver consistency. As a legacy in Folsom, it matters and keep up the great work ! Will wait patiently !

Had buffet and for $17 it was such a good spread! (in a world where one A La carte is $12-$14, and this is unlimited buffet- there was veg biryani, samosas, naan, 3 veggie curries, daal, idly, sambhar, rice, 2 desserts, and 4 non-veg curries and maybe even more! The free masala chai is always welcome with buffet. The service was so good, the gentleman who seated us, he got fresh idlies to our table and chutney. Jalebi and mysore pak were desserts. will definitely go again!Vegetarian options: 8 out of 14 curries in buffet were veg friendly

The food from Ruchi Folsom location was horrible. We were calling to see if they were open, and they didn't answer. We decided to drive there and they were open. They said they just opened even though the hours of operation on Google and their site references a different time. It happens, that's okay. There were no customers at that point. We ordered 2 lamb dishes and 1 chicken dish. The gentlemen who took the order didn't know the dish name. 5 mins later, the chef comes out to verify the order. Then, 2 mins later, they said that they had a lamb left for only one entree. Mind you, they said they just opened. We were asked to pick one lamb dish. We were talking amongst each other to see what we would do, and the gentlemen said, "You want both, okay let me talk to the chef." That was a nice gesture, but if there's no lamb for both, how can you make it work? Clearly, they would skimp us on the lamb.He came out 3 mins later saying they can make both dishes. The lamb biryani had very dry, somewhat old looking lamb. Explains why there was only "enough lamb for one dish." It looked like the lamb was a few days old and the very end peices. It also tasted boiled with no flavor, and we felt somewhat sick after eating it. The biryani rice barely had any flavor or color to it.The other lamb dish only had a few lamb pieces. The naan was not even cooked and was all ripped. The layer of each naan was ripped and seemed like it was chewed on. It also didn't seem fresh and store bought, which is sad because it was worst than anything you would find at a grocery store. The rice on the side was not basmati rice and seemed like it was made in a rice cooker and not the usual fluffy rice you get at many Indian restaurants. The Ruchi in Folsom is not good, probably the worst indian food I've had in a long time! The Ruchi in Natomas is better, but they clearly do not have any consistency between both locations, nor does it seem like they have the same owners.

Same experience as Cali. Chicken tikka masala had very few dry chicken pieces. Overall their food quality and quantity have gone bad. If they cut corners like this they will loose customers.

Lunch buffet was tasteless and not sufficiently heated, not worth the 17$ at all. No way comparable to the buffet at the Sacramento location.

Not satisfied overall. No chicken dum biriyani available on Sunday, which is fine but we were told other biriyani’s available. But egg biriyani looked like a fried rice.Naans, Rotis are fresh and tasted good.

We had not been here since before covid but recently ordered takeout from Ruchis. We were disappointed to find that the chicken in the butter chicken and chicken tikka masala was very dry inside. Aside from dry, each dish came in a plastic container that was 90 percent sauce and LITERALLY a couple bites of chicken. About 17 bucks for maybe 3 bites of chicken seems insane. Both dishes were like that, all sauce. The rice and nan were ok. Not sure we will be back unless it's to eat at their buffet to give the food a try. Maybe the dryness was a one-off?

Tried fish pakora, chicken biryani, chicken shik kabob. Food is really tasty. My wife loves their fish pakora.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options if someone has restrictions.Parking: Large parking spot for the plaza

Ordered one Mango lassi with other foods and the lassi was delicious and perfect. Food was ok. So ordered 4 mango lassi next time and they tasted just like a sugar water. Basically they just added lots of water and sugar to one cup of mango lassi and adjusted to 4 cups. Lesson learned and will never order again any beverages from here. Waste of money. This is how restaurants loose customers when they compromise on quality to save few bucks and not thinking of long term consequences.
