Spice Jar: A Tale of Two Worlds - Delicious Food, Bumpy ServiceMy Spice Jar experience was a curious tale of two halves: foodie paradise on the plate, and a bit of convenience store chaos in the air. Let's delve into the delicious first. The Food: Oh, the food! It was a vibrant tapestry of pungent spices and aromatic flavors. The lamb vindaloo (7/10) wrestled with my taste buds, offering a great flavor profile but leaving me yearning for a more intense fire. The chicken tikka masala (8/10), however, hit the spice sweet spot perfectly. Rich tomato gravy hugged tender chicken cubes, each bite an explosion of comfort and warmth. The goat biryani (9/10) was a revelation. Fluffy rice studded with succulent goat, aromatic spices, and caramelized onions – it was a symphony of textures and tastes. And the samosas (10/10). They were golden titans, crisp and flaky on the outside, bursting with spiced-potato goodness within. A single bite transported me to bustling street markets, a testament to their authenticity. The chili garlic naan (10/10) deserves a standing ovation. Fluffy, chewy, and infused with the perfect blend of chilies and garlic, it was the ideal dipping companion. Every morsel begged to be scooped up in its warm embrace. The Service: Now, the service (6/10) was a bit of a bumpy ride. Tucked away in the convenience store side with the main restaurant closed, things got a tad hectic. Orders got mixed up, wait times stretched, and the overall ambiance lacked the charm I expected. I give the staff credit for handling the unexpected rush with relative grace, but it took a bit of the shine off the dining experience. The Verdict: Despite the slight service hiccup, Spice Jar's food shines brightly. The bold flavors, generous portions, and exquisite textures left me wanting more. If you're chasing a spice adventure, and don't mind a touch of quirky ambience, Spice Jar is worth a visit. Just be prepared for a potential convenience store detour!

Tasty food and friendly service. The tables may be on occasion a little untidy but let them know and they will clean it up right away. Great Punjabi style food. Stuffed tandoori Parantha are great. Have been regularly visiting this place for the past five+ years especially during pandemic. Never disappointed.Vegetarian options: Plenty of veg options

The very first dinner I had in CA with Spice Jar. It was really delicious and tasty. They have a great service and reasonable prices.Vegetarian options: We've tried Sahi Paneer, Mix Veg and dal. Also order the sweets (Rasgullas, Barfi and Katli). Everything was awesome!!!

Had an amazing buffet with some of the best food I've ever had! Aloo Gobi, Samosas, Chicken Tikka Masala, Naan, Basmati Rice, Curry, everything was so good and we left completely stuffed! The only downside is the distance from our house, but we hope to make the drive again sometime soon! It's definitely worth it!

Food was not good at all. Sag smelled so bad had throw away. Paid for 10 roti and only got 8. I am truck driver kind hard to come back. Call to inform them about the situation they denied and they cannot do anything. This is my experience hopefully you have better experience. Good luck .

It was ok. I had the "spicy" chicken curry, and honestly, the chicken was gooey, and the curry itself was bland. Maybe it was an off day but for now I won't be back.

Honestly;Midz. I placed an online pickup order; it took them over an hour to prepare the food. Food itself was good; then an hour later I was evacuating my soul via my turdcutter on the toilet. As I type this, I am paint-matching my toilet bowl the morning after dinner as well. Food is great, diarrhea isn't.

I cannot get enough of the shrimp curry from here, I order it almost weekly. The food here is just absolute perfection. The shrimp curry flavor is the best I've ever had and the amount they give you realistically could feed two people but it is so good I finish all alone. The basmati rice is delicious and also a great portion for the price. I sometimes get the garlic naan, with and without chili from here and I love it. It's never dry, the naan is always perfectly baked. When I move I'm going to have to make a special trip just to come eat here because it might be the best Indian food in the IE, ever.
