It was confusing from the Ozen sushi at Buena Park. The Buena Park is “all you can eat” however, this location isn’t AYCE. For appetizer, I ordered calamari tempura which wasn’t looked like a real calamari that I ate before. (2 out of 10). I ordered a sushi roll which had too much fake crab legs. It had shrimp inside and salmon outside (looked like salmon). The taste was ok (4 out of 10). I didn’t like the atmosphere and decoration. They sat me next to the front door while they had other empty seats in the back. Their door didn’t function properly and was open all the time and the cold wind was bothersome. Overall, I won’t go back there.

The sushi is below average. The quality of the rice is poor. The yakisoba was ok, but it was too sweet.

This place is always a 5 for me! My favorite rolls are the yellowtail special, no kiss, baked ono, and the hot night. Cute local place with great service! My top choice for sushi any day.

Great neighborhood sushi restaurant with quality fish and decent prices. This restaurant never disappoints.

Service and atmosphere were great. But the food was really just so so. The bluefin tuna sashimi was too soft (in my opinion). And the basic tuna roll started unraveling.

Onion rings (onion tempura)! I really like their yellow-tail roll and spicy crunchy roll. But most of all, I like their onion tempura. I'm big on any kind of onion rings, and I find O-zen's onion tempura to be the best. It has great onion-to-batter ratio with thick slices of onion, and it's always fried to perfection. I also like the miso soup.To Ozen-sushi, I think if you add "Onion Rings" to your menu, it might sell well, especially with the football season approaching.

Our favorite sushi restaurant in the area. Have been coming here for years for our Sushi Friday lunch. Great service. Good sushi. Donny is the best sushi chef. It's always fresh and they will make you something custom if you want.

Chill sushi spot - nothing fancy but hits the spot in every way. Recommend the poke bowl, the spicy crunch roll and the dragon roll. Haven’t had anything that I haven’t liked here!

This location of Ozen Sushi is part of the Food Festival Food Court in Foothill Ranch. They offer indoor seating and there is also plenty of patio seating outside in the food court. Not being a sushi lover nor liking seafood in general I agreed to eat here with a sushi-loving friend once I saw a handful of teriyaki offerings. I ordered the beef teriyaki bento which, along with pieces of beef, included rice, salad, 2 gyoza, and tempura veggies & shrimp. Yeah, my friend grabbed the shrimp. The bento came with a delicious miso soup.It was a lot of food for the price, a good deal, but the food was average. The beef pieces were a mix of textures, some tender some a bit chewy. The rice and salad were fine. I thought the tempura veggies were excellent while the gyoza were simply "okay". I ordered an Arnold Palmer to drink. Not sure if it was the lemonade or iced tea but something tasted weird. Avoid this beverage here. It was a decent meal at a good price for what you'd expect at a food court.

Food - mediocre at best, think it's odd that if you order to eat literally outside in the sitting area of the restaurant that is seen as not part of the restaurant so you won't get one of the items that would have come with your lunch bento if you ate inside the restaurant and that item is the miso soup. Ordered 3 lunch bentos - katsu would be a hard pass, pork piece that's fried until it's hard pieces of meat, the chicken teriyaki was edible where it wasn't charred until literal burnt peices of chicken, tempura was good but again thin peices of vegetables fried til crispy oblivion. Seems to me what's happening is to make prices "affordable" for lunch bento was roughly $16 they need to portion out the food to thinner smaller cuts/pieces. Service - non existent and slightly rude at least the woman that was encountered on June 20th during lunch time didn't even bother to call out our number or let us know our food was ready for pickup. As soon as I came back inside the restaurant she knew what was our order and proceeded to point at the table with our order packaged and ready. Odd part is we were just eating outside and we could hear her calling out to go orders and bringing orders out to other customers, but with our party that was non-existent and just a bit rude. When I asked what would be good to order for a kid for the lunch bento she didn't even acknowledge my question literally was silent. Honestly this establishment feels a bit like they don't want or care for families to patronize their business at least thats the feeling I get from my experience as we came as 2 families. Ambiance - can't comment as we decided to eat right outside in the community seating area to save the restaurant staff the hassle of cleaning up given our party had 4 kids from the age of 2-7. You'd think that would have been seen as a nice gesture from us, but no. If you've never ate here before there's nothing special about this place, unfortunately there's nothing I would recommend coming here for, not the food, not the ambience, and definitely not the service.
