One of the best hot-pot places I’ve been to. They have great vegetarian options and the staff is super helpful if you are a hotpot newbie! 10/10 would recommend.

Mumu always hits the spot! This was our first time at the Foster City location. We normally patronize the Pleasanton location, but as we were coming from SFO, we thought we’d try this location.First off, they have outdoor hot pot tables available; we didn’t do it this time, but next time for sure! The restaurant staff is great here, very friendly and go above & beyond… there’s also ample parking available too.The veggies and meat are all fresh and fantastic and the sauce bar is loaded. We’ll definitely be back!

High quality meat in a personalized hot pot style. It's not unlimited, but the packages for 2 people is ample. I left satisfied. One can control their own temperature and make their own dipping sauce. The restaurant is spacious but there isn't enough ventilation for all the steam. Service consists of people taking away used dishes and monitoring people's pots aren't boiling over.

Meat lovers for 2 was definitely filling for us. Combined with the meat, the veggies and carbs totally put us over and we were stuffed by the end of it. Quality of meat was great, veggies were all fresh and delicious. The ingredients used here is definitely top notch. How do you tell? By not having any sauce at all when you eat the food. It still tastes delicious. Compare this to some other places, where if you don't use any sauce, you may think: it is some kind of meat, I think, or it is some kind of vegetable, I think, but has no taste. This place, it is like: beef has beef taste, and every type of vegetable has their own taste. Also, eating here, you get a good portion of vegetable per meal.

A little messy inside, especially the condiments table. Meats are ok, tasty but not super fresh. It appears that the meats were sliced and refrigerated instead of freshly sliced when ordered as I can see that the side facing up has a darker color than the other side. Tables are small so you would have to stack up the meat trays, not ideal for hygiene.Restrooms are very clean.

Not good as my expect. They should service baby veggie (小青刚菜). Chinese cabbage (白莱全是帮子大叶子) are just out layer low quality parts.

My boyfriend and I recently moved to Foster City and this location is conveniently located less than 5 minutes from us.We usually order the signature combo but we never finish it so this time we ordered the single's meat and added an additional toro and soup base. It was still more than enough food for the two of us! The quality of the meat and freshness of the vegetables are always consistent. The tomato soup base is my boyfriend's favorite. I am personally not a fan, it's too sweet, but if you love tomatoes, he'd recommend it.My favorite soup base is the buttery but it can be a bit oily. I have to scoop out the oil to get to the soup. I've also tried tum yum but it's too sour for my liking.Only minor complain is that they never give us soup bowls/soup spoons and we have to flag the waiter for them.

One of my fav hot pot spots in the Bay!O R D E R E D- Mumu Special [2 of everything]- Beef Lover [2 of everything but no sides and you get 3 meats instead]- Beef Tongue- Lamb- Seasonal Chuck RollV E R D I C TI love their sukiyaki soup base, it's more sweet than savory and Mumu is the ONLY hot pot spot i've been to in the Bay Area that carries that soup base. Their deals are worth it for $68 and you and your +1 get to choose multiple items from each category. This isn't AYCE but I don't mind it because they have a wide selection sauce bar - that is a must and their mushroom sauce. OMG that mushroom sauce is so good, if you love mushroom, you gotta try it!

Tried Mumu for the first time. It was good! A variety of protein to choose from. The only hot pot place in Foster City.

My first time having hot pot at this vegetarian friendly spot in Foster City! The vibes were great with many different options for soup base, an assortment of ingredients to customize a sauce, and many vegetables and types of ingredients to add on top of the broth. Overall, a very cool and unique experience. The rice cakes and squash especially came out really well!!

Solid hot pot! Meat lover's combo is plenty for two. Meat was high quality (wagyu, short rib, chuck). Sauce bar is clean and plenty. Tom yum broth was decent. Service was quick as we only waited a few min after ordering on a Sat night. Vibes were immaculate, as the space was modern with light wood finishes. Enjoyed this!

This has to be my favorite hot pot place in the peninsula! It's not ayce, which I already enjoy. There's a meat lovers combo for 2 people, $68. It includes 3 different types of meats, 2 broths, and the widest variety of veggies (Chinese spinach, bokchoy, taro, winter melon, tofu, tofu skin, etc.). You can also choose your choice of carb (rice / type of noodle- I like vermicelli). I got the Tom yum broth and it was just the best sour and tanginess flavor. The meat is very fresh and there are quality slices of meat on each plate. They don't skimp out. I'll definitely be coming back!!

Delicious! The meat quality was great. We got lamb & wagyu beef. The fish balls with roe & fish tofu were tasty. I loved the huge variety of veggies that come with the meal. The sauce bar has a great variety of things to specialize your dipping sauce. I got the buttery spicy soup base & it was super spicy & fatty, exactly what I was craving. It is very coating & rich, so you have to be prepared for that. My bf got the miso & was disappointed. He said it was extremely watered down. The service was fast & good. I like being able to order on the app & closeout when you're done. Our water was always filled & they paid attention when we needed something. I'll definitely be back!
