“I used to go the the Yorktown & brookhurst BR, now I'm a customer at this location because of the service and the proper amount of ice cream serving you get. They are fast, yet attentive. They don't rush your order or ice cream experience. The lady in charge reminds me of the old school ice cream B&R. She makes you feel welcome and gives you a big scoop. She asks if there is anything else you would like to order, but asks in a non rushing way. Thank you for reminding me of the old 31 flavors welcoming ice cream experience I used to get as a kid!“

“I don’t know what happened to other customers but I always have good experience with this shop. They always made good tasteful cake with beautiful decorations for me. My wedding cake was perfect, taste and look. Then later on I ordered burnaway BD cake for my friend and it was perfect too. They always responded to me on text or call. They are busy at the store sometimes I do need to wait to talk to them but it’s because there are other customers too.“

“I called when the shop already closed and the baker told me to call back after 30mins so he can clean up a bit. The service is on top tier he said that he tried to read the phone manual just to find my phone number. How sweet he is. I dont know about cake sizes so I said i want 8" for 6people and he stop me and told me i should get 6' instead since 8' is too big. I surprised, every business try to up sale but they only want the best for their customers. Huge respect and the strawberry shortcake.... Chef kiss do i have to explain more? Go get the dam cake“

“Anyone hating on this place is just a sourpuss! I LOVE coming here. Yes, if you can avoid the busiest times you'll have a better experience, but the food is delicious and reasonably priced! The croissant they use for the turkey and cheese sandwich is so light, buttery, and flakey; and we always plan to take home treats too--usually chocolate croissants for the next morning and/or a chocolate chip muffin... tried something new today: the tiramisu! Yum! Mind you, we come from two counties away! Long live Porto's!“

“They made my mom’s birthday cake it was a work of art and it was delicious. We chose my mom’s favorite. Carrot cake with a whip cream frosting and custard filling. It was the most delicious carrot cake I ever had! Even family members who exclaimed they did not like carrot cake tried this one and changed their mind it was that good!! We also got a flan pie. Same thing. So delicious. I wish I knew about this baker for my wedding cake but going forward I will get all my pies and cakes here. I highly recommend it!!“

“Was looking for an exceptional butter cream cake for my wife's birthday. Started searching on Google for bakeries and Penelope's caught my eye. I stopped by the shop to get a sense of what they were about and spoke with Penelope's husband who was so passionate about his wife's cakes, I ended up ordering an 8' vanilla butter cream cake. Per their instructions I let the cake sit out for what turned out to be a little over 5 hours before serving and I have to say, this is, without a doubt, the best cake I've ever had and it's not even close. There is really nothing that you can't love about this place.“

I contacted them with a custom order. My daughter absolutely loves FNAF (Five Nights At Freddy's). From start to finish they have been more then helpful every step of the way with clear contact. I wish every place contained this type of customer service that they offer here. They can customize just about any design.. they also have a variety of different flavors to choose from as well. I went with 5 FNAF cake pops and a single Cupecake character... I love how it turned out. [ They can be found on the second level of the food court at MainPlace.] If you're looking for something "special", this is definitely a place you want to try... “Review is based off their Three Kings Bread. We arrived the day of Three Kings Day and they had more than plenty of breads in a fairly large and extra large size. They were kind with their service, and accept either cash or zelle for payment. The bread is probably the best "pan de Reyes" we have had to date. It was very soft, fragrant (not in a bad way but a hint enough to taste the yummy spices in their bread), the fruit decor also was soft and delicious.“

“BEST ICE CREAM EVER!!! This Cold Stone location is great, the staff is very kind and the ice cream was delicious, so many flavors and toppings to choose from. I dropped some of my ice cream on the floor. The flavor was so good I could not help to waste it, so I literally licked it off the floor. The woman working was so kind and had no judgement behind her eyes after I completed this action. This location was extremely clean as well, this is also why I had the confidence to lick my ice cream off the floor. This cream was SO yummy! “I called 5 minutes before they closed the day before Easter and they made me the perfect cake for my son's second birthday within 3 days. I was able to pick it up Tuesday morning and it was perfect. “I needed to order a birthday cake for my mom's 81st birthday. It was a Tuesday, and I needed.it by Friday. Ayliz graciously said okay and I told her I was on a budget. I wanted a simple cake with flowers on it. She worked with me and created such a beautiful cake! You would never know a limited budget was involved! It was detailed. It was very simple to order, it was all handled by phone and by text and photo ideas. The cake was chocolate with a mocha mousse. Oh my goodness!! This was an amazing cake! So good!! The buttercream wasn't too sweet, it was delicious and smooth. The cake was moist and chocolate goodness! The flowers were made from buttercream frosting, no fondant here! I don't understand how such an unassuming, mid-range-priced mom and pop shop is able to have such a wide variety, and with each individual item seeming like it's gotta be the one famous item everyone flocks to the bakery for. With its Arabic and French pastry fusion, my headcannon is that an Arabic family graduated France's most prestigious pastry school and then opened shop here.We got one of every kind of baklava. They're all somewhat similar in flavor, but a completely different textural experience . Crunchy/tender, flaky/moist, pillowy/dense. A lot of them start out with a satisfying crunch and then just turn to butter in your mouth. A freakin festival of culinary textures. They were sweet, but not too sweet, nutty, caramely, brown sugar-y and perfect.The thing we actually went for was the dark chocolate cake which, unsurprisingly, was phenomenal. Deep chocolate flavor, moist, not too sweet, and some sort of aromatic or subtle flavor that I couldn't place but that I really liked. Rose water? Bergamot?
