I walked in here shortly after they opened on a weekday and was warmly greeted by the staff in Mandarin. I honestly felt like I was transported to a breakfast cafe in Taiwan - love it! We ordered breakfast to go: Taro veggie sung sando ($8.75) Cheese crepe ($8) Signature sando ($5.5) Soy milk black tea ($4.50; got a $0.50 discount for ordering with a meal) The taro veggie sung was packed between slices of soft bread with the crusts cut off. I've had veggie sung before, but not with taro paste, so it was a nice combo of savory and sweet. I did wish it had a little bit more flavor, but overall, not bad. The cheese crepe is not your traditional French crepe. It's a Taiwanese-style crepe and is clearly indicated on the menu as such. All the crepes come filled with egg and green onion as a base. It's savory and came with a sauce to douse over it. I added some hot spot and it was delicious! Reminded me of breakfasts my mom would prepare for me as a kid. Signature sandwich comes with cucumber, ham, egg, and a pork patty. My boyfriend inhaled it and although he seemed to think it's nothing special, it's a quick and filling meal. I ordered the soy milk black tea without any sugar, and although I appreciated that I was able to do so, the ratio of tea to soy milk tasted off. It was more black tea than soy milk, so in hindsight, I should have just stuck to plain soy milk. Regardless, would definitely come back if I was in the area and wanted a quick bite!

It is recommended for folks who like Taiwanese breakfast sandwiches with milk tea or coffee. I am totally a fan! Although the place may appear a bit pricey! My fav food there is the tuna crepe!

Lovely family-run store with warm greetings. The egg crepe is very solid with a lot of egg and green onions. The taro and pork sung sandwich is also unique. Overall the foods are a bit too carb heavy.

We came here for a late breakfast and it was so good! There are multiple small tables inside, so there is plenty of room to sit. They also take orders quickly at the front to eat there or you can get their prepackaged sandwiches to go! We got the toasted signature sandwich and the toasted egg and ham sandwich. Both sandwiches were delicious, but I think the signature one is the best! The ham and egg is just ham and egg, but the signature has vegetables like tomato, onion, and cucumber that add nice texture and freshness to the sandwich. I will definitely come back here!!

Sandwiches are good but on the lighter side Crepe was okay. Drinks are pretty good. Service is good.

Cafe Mei is a cute Taiwanese cafe with both strong and weak menu items. The toasted signature pork sandwich and dan bing are delicious; I like their soy milk (very bean-y!) and black tea for drinks. However I'm not really a fan of their noodles or their crust-on sandwiches. If you know what to order it's really comforting, delicious, mild (in a good way) food. If not it's kind of mid. The first time I came for weekend breakfast and the second time I came for weekday lunch. If you come on a weekend definitely go early or the line will be long!

Got the pork burger, daikon cake, and egg crepe. Pork burger tastes pretty good and different from your regular burgers. Daikon cake was the best one I've ever had. Egg crepe was ok.

I love this place soooooo much! I can't count the number of times I've had their sandwiches and I actually crave them often. Thankfully one of my besties lives close by and so I make her bring me some when we meet up. My favorite after trying much of the menu is still the Togo signature sandwich ($5.25) which reminds me of the breakfast places in Taiwan. It has that yummy meat patty that I haven't seen any other place have. I haven't tried a sandwich I didn't like and their crepe with egg ($7.50) and black pepper noodle with egg ($11.50) are also delicious. Oh, only thing I would skip is the Iced Coffee ($5) because I think it's instant coffee made from powder. It tasted like that to me and I asked the guy in the front about the coffee and if it's fresh and he didn't tell me it's not but said that I should order the other coffee items like latte or americano if I wanted freshly made coffee.

Like being in Taipei. I don't want to give 5 stars because this place is already too popular. But then I would be lying. Don't sleep on the club sandwich; it's everything.

its a very quaint restaurant with 10ish tables. I ordered the Signature Pork sandwich, egg crepe, and milk tea. Overall it was good for the price. It's great for a quick meal on the go or picnic lunch type deal. I would definitely come back for the hot sandwich and soy milk with black tea!

My favorite is the taro and pork sung sandwiches. They use real taro and it's delicious. They also have great drinks like sweetened/unsweetened soy milk. Their service is fast and they're always really nice whenever I go there. I highly recommend Cafe Mei!

Finally tried this cafe out! Love Asian themed cafes! We only had time to Order one Sammy, so we got the pork sung Sammy to go. It is not the most filling sandwich, but it's very good. I know I could make something like this myself and at home, but the way they prepare the sandwich is so neatly put and cooked sooo well (the egg) , idk it's still worth the money! Will def come back again soon!

The taro puree vegetarian pine sandwich is really delicious! You can eat real small pieces of taro in the taro paste.

Black pepper teppan noodle. It will be better if it can open new store around Sunnyvale, Cupertino, and Palo Alto.
