It's hard to find quality authentic Taiwanese food so I'm thrilled I found this place! The portions were generous and everything tasted delicious! It is cash-only but that is common at authentic Asian restaurants. The lady at the counter spoke primarily Chinese and was sweet and friendly, and was very understanding when I needed help ordering as I'm only conversationally fluent in Mandarin and not able to read the Chinese menu. I would definitely order food from them again next time I'm in the area!

Food is getting worse than before. The waitress attitude is also bad. I'm very disappointed. They used to be my go to spot. Now i don't want to go back again

This place is super legit. We live an hour away in SF but my husband still talks about driving out there to eat their yummy Taiwanese food! Re: supposed rude cashier lady, sorry but that's part of the experience lol. Pretty authentic to Taiwanese dining haha. The food speaks for itself. Everything was excellent! Highly recommend.

A go-to Taiwanese resto that offers full menu ordering during COVID, which beats Taiwan Cafe the last time I went and found that they only offer group order/limited set items. Been here before COVID as well and it's a solid place I'd revisit whenever I'm nostalgic or crave hometown delicacies. Had my birthday lunch (dined on the car) a while ago just enjoying the regular braised pork rice, pickled scrambled eggs that aren't overly salty, stir-fried Taiwanese vermicelli, while my husband enjoyed his crispy marinated pork bento 紅糟肉. Always feel fulfilled. Staff may be busy and be based far behind the Covid pick up table by the door, at the back service counter, so just be considerate and understand if they seem to be "yelling" at you just to make sure they're communicating/messages are heard. It didn't bother me too much. :) They wear masks, are quite accommodating, diligent and have never messed up our orders. Definitely deserves 5*.

Horrible customer service from the cashier lady with short hair. The food is good but won't be back with her nasty attitude.

The cashier lady is extremely rude. It was my first time visiting and I had some questions regarding the menu. She seemed extremely bothered for no reason, yelled at me and made me feel like an idiot. Food is average, nothing impressive or worth revisiting.

We placed a togo order on Sunday and was quoted a 25 min wait, which means that they must be doing pretty well for business (yay). There were no other customers there when we went for pick up though. The English names of the dishes here are kinda different than the ones from other restaurants, so it might be confusing for people who don't read Chinese. We ordered: 米血糕 (Blood rice cake) - it came with the peanut powder and sweet/salty sauce. I was a bit sad that it didn't come with the spicy sauce but I improvised. The peanut powder was sooo good though. I finished the powder by itself as a side dessert lol. Overall, it's a good buy if you were craving some blood rice cake from Taiwan withdrawal, but otherwise, you could probably skip it (and wait until you can get a more authentic version in Taiwan). 五更臭豆腐 (Stinky tofu w/hot sauce) - was debating between this vs pork intestine version so I asked about what the difference is. The stinky tofu version basically replace the regular tofu in pork intestine w/sauce with stinky tofu. I really liked this version, but I was already biased since this has always been a favorite dish in my household. 蒜苗鹹豬肉 (Salty pork w/leek) - my bf liked this dish the most. I liked it too, but I prefer my meat to be soft (my teeth is kinda weak lol). I didn't eat much of this since I was focused on the other two dishes. Bf mixed the leftovers with scrambled eggs for dinner. Apparently it tasted great. Total was $41.35 (cash only), but we had leftovers so it's probably good enough to feed 3 people.

Ok place for Taiwanese food. The oyster omelette had too much tapioca starch so it tasted very thick. However the oysters they out in here are big and they put a lot of cabbage which I liked. Stinky tofu wasn't had no stinky smell to it and tasted just ok. Sweet and sour fish fillet was good and was the best dish that we got this trip.

Acceptable traditional Taiwan cuisine: chicken soups, herbal soup, good small dishes. Bring your own containers for large soups to family gathering. Prices are 15% higher than average Taiwan restaurants. Busy with nearby Chinese companies like Delta Electronics.

We randomly came upon this hole in the wall place a few weeks ago in the middle of the pandemic and am so glad we did. Their Taiwanese food is legit and authentic, made by Taiwanese people so it tastes just like what we grew up with in Taiwan. There was not a dish we didn't enjoy and we can't wait to return. The only downside is it's hard to get through to them on the phone to order (maybe because there are so many others ordering from them?) We had to drive up to order and waited half an hour for our food (again, because of all the other orders they had to fill) so it's a bit of an hassle but it's worth it!

Good food.Warning** for people ordering take out. They only accept paper cash (no venmo, no paypal) during COVID when everyone is using touchless payment method. It would be better if they can put a warning sign at their website.

Worst customer service you could ever imagine. The lady kept YELLING and asking what I ordered for three time straight when in fact I just got there and was about to order. Perfect way to lose a customer during this hard time.

I absolutely love Taiwanese food and I'm always on the lookout for a new restaurant. I've been dining at Du Xiao Yue for many years now and they've never failed me! The flavor of their dishes is amazing and so authentic. It definitely makes me feel like I'm back in Taiwan. The service here is amazing as well and the servers are incredibly nice. I 100% recommend this restaurant!

Taiwan street food! As a Taiwanese, I would say this is a few of the best Taiwanese restaurants in Bay Area. I highly recommend squid pottage, thin brown noodle with intestine, red rice yeast pork, and blood rice cake! Ordering through phone and picking up later, they only accept cash now. Sometimes there's a line outside but pickup process is smooth and fast in general.
