The past 6 times I've been here service has always been abysmally slow. Even on days where I come in and the host will tell me it's a slow day (think midweek) there's always a 15-25 minute wait before someone walks up to your table totake your order. Food never comes out at the same time, I have to flag down someone to ask for more water even when I set my visibly empty cup on the edge of the table.The venue is visibly run down, floors are sticky, tables tops are sticky, the TV wall they have has flickering issues some panels aren't even on it's all very distracting.The food is fantastic though, best cuts of meat for kBBQ experiences. Just a shame it's all weighed down by painfully slow service. So slow that even asking for the check just so you can pay is a 10-20 minute long ordeal.

My partner and I have been here about twice a month for a year. I love this place. Greath food. Amazing atmosphere. If you had asked me a a week ago I would've said the staff is awesome too but then money was stolen from me. I was there Tuesday 04/16/2024 with a party of 5 bill was $265 I was only meant to pay half but I had to pay in full due to unforseen circumstances. That meant I didn't have it in my budget to tip (I always tip). I felt awful for it and I apologized. I held onto the receipt so I could remember the waitresses name so I could make it up to her if I got the chance but the waitress decided her self that she deserved a tip and didn't want to wait. Next day I check my bank account and the amount finalized from $265 to $308. She added an 18% tip. For her self. I immediately called the restaurant told them situation and was told they would keep in contact and the money should be back in my account in 1 to 3 days. Nothing. Called again Saturday. Was put on hold fo 45 min then was told the same thing.They sounded annoyed with me and got off the phone as fast as possible. It is now Wednesday 04/24/2024. Still nothing. Just super disappointed. Wish they'd make it right because I don't want to stop going there. It's a great place. Just don't trust them anymore.

order DoorDash I got the plate with the two meet and three size order extra kimch all I got was two small little containers of it and on top of that, the meat looks very skimpy

Underwhelming experience at GEN Korean BBQ Restaurant last night. It took forever to get sides “Kimchi & Radish …” although i reminded them more than 5 times. The meat not really good, and unfriendly service. The atmosphere was nice, but that was about it. Our server seemed disinterested in our needs. The food quality didn't live up to the price. We left feeling disappointed and still hungry. Won't be back.

Been here 2x now and both times I am impressed. Service is wonderful.and every staff I had there was over the top awesome. Food options are equally awesome that give you options to upgrade if wanting more. I totally recommend upgrading to gain access to more premium meat.

No meat.3 lil sides, other tables had more than 3.I ordered a second hot sake, server forgot.Total: 1.5 hrs to have a mediocre meal.Very disappointed because the plaxe is nice.Not going back.
I visited Gen Korean BBQ House to celebrate my brother's birthday, and while we've had positive experiences in the past, this visit left us with mixed feelings.One aspect we've always appreciated is the quick service. However, this time around, we noticed a significant difference. It was apparent that we had a new server who seemed to be still in the training phase. Our drinks were delayed, arriving only when we were halfway through our meal, and the birthday cocktail took much longer than expected.Despite our efforts to order meats and appetizers promptly, there were noticeable delays, leaving us wondering if our server was struggling to place the orders. Understandably, training can lead to some hiccups, and we tried to give the benefit of the doubt to the new staff member.While this experience was disappointing compared to our previous visits, it won't deter me from returning to Gen Korean BBQ House. I've experienced great service in the past and hope that with time, the new staff will reach the same level of efficiency and attentiveness that we've come to expect from this establishment.

Super fun dinner with friends! I read some of the negative reviews prior to coming and I didn't experience any of the problems listed. They were super busy, and we did have to wait, but that is completely normal. Our waiter was very attentive and, for the most part, brought the food we ordered. There were a couple of times we had to remind him of some missing items, but we were constantly busy cooking and eating. We were never waiting around. They warn you 15 min prior to your end time, which is nice. We all loved it and would definitely come back and recommend.
