It's sad seeing this place closed. Food tastes good and good portion. Wish they can come back.

This is an amazing place in the sense that it gets 1-star for both services and food itself. tl;dr: if you are paying a visit here, keep buggin since they will forget and will tell you that they are "busy". If you have had authentic Hakka food before, do not give expectation; you will be disappointed. ---------------- It was a busy Saturday with loads of ppl at the front door. We were looking for the waitlist, but unable to find one b/c a waitress there kept track with her own private notebook. We tried to get on the list but were told to wait, realizing that she was trying to call numbers for the open tables, so we waited patiently. Midway through, a party of 12 were questioning her about calling all the party of 4 and wonder the chances of having 3 adjacent tables clear at the same time, which is a legit concern. The waitress did not answer the concern, or provide any assurance, and well, they left. The waitress, on the other hand, headed back in after finishing calling numbers, and never got back to us. We were at the door waiting for my friends for at least 20 minutes without the ability to get onto the waitlist. I was already asking to leave 10minutes in, but (un)luckily, the fd of my fd (we didn't recognize their faces with mask on) actually got onto the list early, and we were next on the list, so yea, I was democratically forced in. They got us seated, but later wanted to shift the table a little bit. I was on my phone and was going to shift over once i finish, but the same waitress for w/e reason wanted to rush me. There is no reason to rush me b/c we were already out of the aisle even if I dont move my chair (my gf and I was shoulder to shoulder but got nth to do with them on that). And that just tell me how incompetent they are - they have a hard time to multi-task and keep track of things, so they rush you through and do things linearly with no flexibility, and when they don't want to answer your ask or after a messed up, they say they are "busy", which I guess you don't want to be busy during lunchtime on a weekend working at a restaurant? FOOD-wise: Run out of hand shredded chicken at lunchtime on Saturday. Pork Tripe Chicken Stew is just peppercorn and peppercorn only; you can't taste anything from chicken nor tripe, which always leads to question of freshness of those two ingredients or is it a cover up. Stuffed Trio has a horrible presentation - it's a bowl of mixed up (and was a missed order - we were almost done with all our other food and had to follow up). Pumpkin w/ Salted Egg Yolk is idk wt it is - pumpkin is pre-mature and salted egg gives 0 savory taste.

Good place for Hakka dishes. Unfortunately they are closing and their last day of operation is May 29, 2022. They sent an email with this information. Some dishes my family enjoyed are the cumin lamb chops, steamed pork ribs with sticky rice, and pork dumplings with egg skin clay pot. Dishes have good flavor and isn't too oily or salty. Sad to see this place closing. I'll have to visit one more time before they close.

Foods were great, no doubt on them. Devoted services, but need to improve from dragging all the furnitures. It is very annoying for everyone to enjoy their foods by hearing all those dragging furnitures sound in the floor. Thank you.

Hakka cuisine from the Taiwan and HK Hakka overseas communities. They have interesting and unique menu items that are not common at Chinese restaurants such as eel, pumpkin and intestines cooked in interesting ways. Love seeing the growth of non-cantonese Chinese regional foods, with even Uygher food becoming easy to find. Hakka food is still rare and I commend Hakka Cuisine for going all-in on this specialty. Braised Tofu with Minced Pork: The pork is inside the tofu and comes with beans on it, tasted interesting but the heavily cornstarched sauce created a slimy quality. Hakka Salt-baked Chicken: Tasted like a poached chicken but the meat and skin were much tougher and chewier. My kids normally loved chicken but didn't enjoy this that much. It tasted surprisingly bland but was better when lightly dipped in the dipping sauce, just be careful not to overdo it, the sauce is really strong. Hakka Fried Rice: Fried rice with larger than normal pieces of carrots and meat, also liked how actual greens are used in it giving it a nice appealing appearance. Tasted OK, missing some of the flame/wok flavor we love.

A friend from out of town invited us to dinner at Hakka Cuisine because she wanted authentic Hakka dishes to remind her of home. We arrived around 7-ish on a Friday night with a group of 6 and this place was packed! Luckily the big table that they had was leaving so we were seated within 10 minutes upon arriving.Everything on the menu looked great so we ended up ordering quite a bit. We ordered fried crispy pork intestine, fried crispy milky roll, Hakka braised pork belly, Hakka lion meatballs, Hakka emperor chicken with scallion sauce, Hakka pan fried tofu, vegetable stir fried with garlic, pork tripe with chicken soup and an eel dish that I don’t know the name to.The fried crispy pork intestine was good and not too oily. The fried crispy milky roll was interesting. It’s like a milky/custardy texture on the inside and firm and crispy on the outside. The Hakka braised pork belly was great! The flavors were amazing and the fatty part basically melt in your mouth. The Hakka lion meatballs were amazing! They were very tender and flavorful! The pan fried tofu was very hot but very good. It came out in a claypot so it retained quite a bit of heat. It was in some kind of sauce that makes it very flavorful. The emperor chicken with scallion sauce is my favorite from all the dishes we tried! The chicken was served cold and it was the most well cooked chicken I’ve had. Combine that with the great scallion sauce (I love garlic, scallions etc.), it was definitely a winning combination in my book. The vegetables stir fried with garlic were great. It was very flavorful because they were stir fried in pork fat! The pork tripe and chicken soup was also great. It’s very peppery (white pepper), which was great to break up all the fattier food we were eating. All of the meat in it were tender as well. And last but not least, the eel dish was also good. The eel was stir fried with green pepper, onions and garlic cloves and had amazing flavors. The eel does come with bones so beware for those that haven’t had eel with bones before!Overall, I’m already drooling to go back to this place as I am writing this review so of course I would highly recommend it! We tried quite a variety of items from their menu and all of them were great! Highly recommend the emperor chicken with scallion sauce!

This restaurant always seemed to be pretty busy whenever I was in the shopping plaza eating next door. There were always people going in and out during lunch time, so I finally decided to give them a try and get take out for dinner. I ordered through their website and was able to scroll through every menu item and see a picture of the food. I ended up ordering their Hakka braised pork belly and House Special Lamb Pot with Tofu Skin. I was able to get 5% off my first order, which came out to be about $44 for two dishes. When I went to pick up the order, they had a ton of other take out orders ready to go. We had to wait an extra 15 minutes for our order (about 45 minutes total). It was packaged really well to prevent spilling and the food was still piping hot by the time I got home. Their portions are pretty generous and the quality of the meats were really good. The pork belly was very tender and basically melted in my mouth with every bite. The lamb too chewy and slid off the bone. I really liked the tofu skin in the dish and enjoyed the sauce they used. The lamb dish was a little more oily than I anticipated, so I did have to scrape some of it off before reheating the leftovers. I will definitely be back and am excited to try other dishes on their menu, like the Hakka Stuffed Trio and the Hakka Lion Meatballs.

Highly recommend! Very authentic and delicious food. We tried Hakka salt baked chicken, hakka pan fried tofu stuffed with pork, fried crispy milk roll and stir fried beef tendeloin with oyster mushroom, all tastes good!We arrived 11:00 on a weekend morning and there is plenty of seats. Most of folks chose takeout.

Love the food. It is authentic and home-made. The salty chicken tastes really good. Every single piece of chicken is tender, juicy and salty. I also like the soup a lot. The pepper in the soup makes me feel warm in a cold day. I wish they serve kung fu tea - strong tea is small cups to make it a full Haka experience.

Had lunch here and it was really good. The Panda bamboo chopsticks are too short and skinny and make eating difficult. Every other Asian restaurant has the good wooden ones. The much larger plastic ones are the best though and the best restaurants have those. I'll buy some plastic ones and bring them with me when I come back.

We picked this restaurant because from its name we assumed that it specializes in Hakka cuisine. We should have walked out after being served paper plates and cups. There was a bug in my cup but I just asked for another. To our dismay, the entrees were also served in paper plates. The portions are rather small for the price. The food was just ok. Edible but nothing I would go back for. The tofu with stuffed meat only had a penny sized meat in there and the tofu was only pan fried on one side and covered in thick thick cornstarch sauce. Besides the flavors being nothing special for all the entrees, we found it difficult to handle the entrees in paper plates. Two stars because the servers were nice.

They are my go-to place for over 5 years. Very good quality, healthy (much less salt and oil as compared to some other chinese/asian restaurants), and very reasonable price. Overall great place, would like to recommend.
