I don't think this place is even open anymore. But they should at least update timings if not.

Wow. The food here was amazing! We got the kimchi fried rice, beef with rice and the pork steak. I was especially impressed by the latter which I heard might be the only place serving this. It wa even great the day after. And it came out lightning fast! I forgot, we ordered the Army Stew and Spicy squid with veggie which were both quite awesome as well. I heard these guys might be struggling a tad due to covid. Save them by ordering as much as possible be use it would be injustice if these guys shut down.

Not a fan. *Please note, this review is a recount of a visit that occurred PRE-covid. Things might be different now, and certainly different circumstances if you are ordering take out. -Ka YuMi has limited seating. Expect a long wait for dinnertime on a Saturday. We had to wait for somewhere near 45 minutes-Interior decor is confused. At first, I thought it was cute...but later found it to not be appealing. They had a mix of halloween, Christmas, random decor all around. -Food taste was not worth the wait. We ordered beef and rice...sounds pretty plain...tasted burnt. -Service not attentive. Again, this is a reflection of dine-in days. Our servers rarely came around to check on us...food took a long time to come out-And to piggy back off of the food coming out late, half of us got our food and damn near finished before the second half of our party even got there's. I think the order was forgotten. We only came as a group of 4. Not on my list of places I'd like to return to.

Can never go wrong with the kimchi fried rice and the wings! Never ending entertainment with the kpop videos too.

Despite COVID 19 slowing many businesses down, Kayumi still continues to shine. Always pumping out the best quality food in the short amount of time. They are not open for dine in at the moment, only take out, but their portion size is very filling. They also are doing a special on soju. 3 bottles for only $20. Normally its 10 per bottle but this special is a steal. They have a huge selection of flavors to choose from. Mango and lychee being 2 new flavors they added. They also got a super secret menu made from the owner Angie. Super limited. Only during the pandemic. SO. FREAKEN. GOOD. PERIOD. Def a gem in Fremont. Def would recommend

Good food, friendly owners. Fried chicken was good! They have a lot of the yummy dishes that go with the korean soju and cocktails or any drink for that matter.

Interesting plaza/location. Decorations are cute. I went one day before shelter in place took effect, and there were quite a bit of people in the restaurant, including myself lol. Ordered some chicken wings and the seafood pancake. The chicken wasn't awful, but it wasn't the best I have had. There seemed to be a LOT of sauce, which I thought was unnecessary - I was expecting more of a glaze. The spicy wasn't too spicy which was nice - it paired very nicely with the rice. Service was really, really slow unfortunately, but still very polite. Maybe they were down some workers because folks didn't want to come in, but it took over 20 minutes for us to get the check and receive the receipt and i REALLY wanted to get out of there, LOL. The seafood pancake was a disappointment. This is usually how I test korean places for my taste - the seafood pancake has to come with yummy dipping sauce, be crunchy and fresh and have a good sized serving. Ka Yumi had 1/3. Well sized portion, but definitely not fresh seafood. I was really wary of eating it - I had just one piece and did not want any to go. Not my favorite korean restaurant by far, but decently priced with nice service and good interior decor. They're also open really late.

My friend and I were craving some chicken wings but wanted to try a place a bit different from your typical Wingstop and Buffalo Wild Wings. Unfortunately, we both get out of work late and didn't want to be in a rush eating dinner... and we got lucky enough to find this GEM on Yelp! This place is open LATE, new, clean and doesn't get crownded. It also seems like it's in a pretty "sketch" area... plenty of parking, but don't worry. You're most likely at the right place! The price for the food is also AMAZING for what you get. My friend and I managed to get plenty of food for only $50!!! We got an 8-pc sweet and spicy chicken, kimchi pancake and grilled bossam. The kimchi pancake was pretty good.. and we wish we saw the kimchi fried rice instead (maybe next time ;) ), but it was good nonetheless. The sweet and spicy chicken can get a little sticky and messy, and I'm usually not a big fan of SWEET AND SAVORY, but I can honestly say I'm looking forward to coming back to order it again! The grilled bossam was also PERFECT. We were both surprised about how soft and and juicy it really was!! The overall restaurant's vibe is really cute and the place is really clean, but wish service could maybe improve more. My friend and I didn't know we had to push a button next to our table in order to get any service done, and since we ordered sticky wings, we had sticky fingers. Hahaha. I think if they let us know ahead of time that we needed to push a button for service, we would've been more aware. Either way, I'm still super excited to come back and bring my husband here. :3

Food: Honestly wanted to be spontaneous and drive up to Fremont to try this place but was very disappointed. Like really disappointed lol. I got the Army stew which had NO flavor. There's just so much hotdog being marinaded in the stew it just taste like weenie water. I also got the spicy tteokbokki which has very slight more flavor than the stew, but lacks consistency with the rice cakes cos it just taste plain. Got the sweet and spicy chicken wings, I would say it's a hit or miss depending on your palate. It was a miss for me cos the sauce was okay, but literally the ONLY food item that was bomb were the sugar coated rice cakes. Definitely a drunchie kinda food. Also they gave me a cup of iced water and there was already a lipstick mark on the cup. They don't clean their utensils very well. Also customer service was really lacking here. No waiters or waitress in sight. You really need to wave someone down cos they're always in the back.

Great food, but service was a little slow.

This is one of the gems in East Bay. I've been coming here for a couple years whenever I want decent Korean food with a small party. I've only had a handful of times where there has been a wait to get a table. Food wise, I stick to meat plates with rice and the chili cheese fries. I would like to try the soups that I see many other tables get. The food comes out hot and I've never had a problem taste wise. I got the pork steak last time and was surprised at how good it was. It was flavorful without too much seasoning. I think the fries are pretty amazing, which I recommend as an appetizer. The service is ok at Yumi. There's a button at the table that you press whenever you need anything , but I would like them to check up on you a little more.

Best Chicken, but they only failed me once, musta been a bad day. Order the Chicken and Green Grape Soju. Can't wait to go back! From Texas and most of the other food is lacking but luckily this place was able to escape Californias bad food vibes. Sorry California most of your food sucks.
