My first time having Malaysian food and it did not disappoint! I came here with 6 coworkers and even with our large party, the lady working the register was super friendly and patient. Additionally, our food came out SO quickly. We were in a bit of a hurry, so we appreciated the quick turn around time with our food. I ordered the #8 which is the Malaysian Wonton Mee. It consists of thin noodles, roast pork, wontons, and veggies. It also came with chicken broth on the side. My meal was delicious! I could tell everything was fresh. The soy sauce that was on the noodles really helped bring all the flavors together. I'm excited to come back!

Not sure what the hype is. Got 1A (chicken) and 8 (wonton). Maybe need to try other menu items!

We came here on a Sunday for lunch and there was nobody there except for us. The place has tons of parking. We ordered two prawn mee and two Malaysian ice tea and everything was so delicious! The food came out super fast and our waiter was super polite. This place reminds me of my trip to Malaysia few years ago. Definitely recommend this place for some authentic Malaysian food.

3.5 stars overall. I've previously visited Layang Layang Express. I didn't write a review the first time, but I recall having a great night and the food being fantastic, as well as waiting over an hour for a table. When I arrived this time, the place was deserted. The service was excellent and timely. We got boneless chicken in curry, chicken rice, and Ipoh hohee. Overall, the food was adequate but not exceptional. I believe I performed better elsewhere. The Malaysian flavoring of the meal was lost on me. The iced tea is a good choice for a drink.

Delicious rich, tasty noodle broth, which is rare for vegetarian broth. Lots of veggies! Fast, friendly service. So nice to have them in our neighborhood. I'm coming back! Note: the noodles are egg noodles.

Nice and quick orders. Not bad at all and clean too for small restaurants. Will be back for their steam chicken. Pretty good .

This is a spin off the main restaurant located in Milpitas and rightfully it is an express version serving primarily only a few individual plates/bowls. This is a great lunch spot to try the truly "hawker style" meals from Malaysia. The service is fast and friendly. And the food authentic. I had to try the Malaysian style wonton noodles (kwon lo char siu wonton mein) which I was truly longing for as it is very unique to Malaysia and Singapore. I was not disappointed! We also tried the Penang Prawn Noodles and the Hainan Chicken Rice. This is a good place for a quick stop for Malaysia's all time hawker favorites.

Their chicken rice is mostly bone. They give the inner part of the breast, not much meat. It's typical chicken rice nothing so special.

Had this place booked marked for a while now and I finally was able to try this place out. I decided to place my order for lunch via DoorDash. My order was ready for pickup in about 10 min after I placed it. Pick up was fast and quick. I ended up ordering a few items. Malaysian Fish ball - These are fried. I like fishballs and this one was good even with the dipping sauce that it came with. Nasi Lemak (beef rendang) - This dish consist of beef rendang served with crispy sambal, coconut rice, cucumber, boiled egg and toasted peanuts. I thought the beef didn't look as fresh. The meat was kind of hard and didn't break off easily when cutting with a fork. I like how this dish didn't taste too spicy. Malaysian Wonton Mee - This dish consist of thin egg noodles served with homemade soy sauce, BBQ pork, vegetables and wonton. It also comes with chicken broth that this on the side. The noodles had a sweet taste that it reminded me of eating Pho. The wonton was my favorite from this dish. It was full of flavor.

Have tried the Layang Chicken and Prawn Mee. While the Layang was good the really winner was the Prawn Mee. A truly delicious and savory broth. It looks like it's going to be spicy but it's actually not that bad coming from a spice wimp like myself. Look forward to returning. If you like my reviews, consider "following" my profile for reviews all across the SF Bay Area . Why "follow" someone? It causes the person you follow's reviews to tier to top when you pull up a business. I find this very handy when researching venues. Rod's Review grading scale explained. Essentially I personally base it on the likelihood of a return visit and I try to be stingy with 5 star reviews since they should be "special" in my eyes. Price/Value also play a role obviously but there are $ and $$$$ littered across my grading scale. 5 stars - "I'll go out of my way" (approx 6 % of my reviews) 4 stars- "If I was in the area I'd go here and would recommend", (approx 38% of my reviews) 3 stars "Maybe if was nearby", (approx 37% of my reviews) 2 stars -"Would likely not return, Only if you want to go", (approx 16% of my reviews) 1 star -"No thanks, even if I was hungry", (approx. 3 % of my reviews)

Overprice and the taste of the food was disappointing. Nothing special about this place. Me and my husband were in the area so we thought to give it a try to this indonesian restaurant. We ordered Nasi lemak and Kwetiaw and both of them were tasteless. Don't waste your money here. Go somewhere else.

Although this restaurant is a bit of a drive for me, I still try to come out here to pick up dinner whenever I can. The food quality is very good and friendly customer service. Will continue to support this business for sure.

Authentic Malaysian/Singaporean cuisine! Our fav dishes are Nasi Lemak, Wonton Mee and Bahn Mee. Service is great and the flavors are spot on. Limited seating for dine-in but perfect for ordering to go.

Small, quaint place with yummy, homey Malaysian dishes. Friendly service. It was our first time eating Malaysian food. Will definitely return! They were helpful with ordering, since I can't handle spicy food.
