Go there for the good food, not the mood of the owners.Just ignore the SUNGITRY and your palate would be rewarded ?.Have not been there in years, but I can’t forget how good their chicken was ?.

Rude service. Stood there for 10 minutes and no body is taking my order. No one in line. The owner just busy dealing with kitchen staff and answering calls. When you call him, he just signals he’s busy and to wait. No body was there so not sure why isn’t he taking orders from people who are there already. Very

Five stars for the best Filipino broasted fried chicken! I recently came to try pork sinigang and loved theirs!! Not too sour, pork rib soup with veggies. Their lunch menu was so affordable and a good portion! So far I love their fried chicken, pork Sinigang and party tray pancit palabok since they don't make entree, only party size. The only thing was I wished there were shrimp and more tofu, eggs or fried pork skin. Noodles and sauce was super duper yummy tho!! Their business hours are weird with Mon to Wed closed, Thursday, Fri 4-7pm and Sat, Sun from 12-6pm. Even with a given time for party food pick up, I still have to wait 30 mins there :( They hardly pick up their phone so walk in during business hours is probably the best. I love their food except chicken adobo that has an after taste that I'm not fond of.

Been ordering here for years, mostly for family gatherings. Always good and fresh. Ordering ahead highly recommended, if not, you're gonna wait 30-45 min

I grew up on the famous broasted chicken from Maharlika. Any Filipino who lives in the tri-city area knows Maharlika for party catering. They also have complete meal combos great for dinner if you don't want to cook. The chicken party packs based on number of pieces are a great pick up for an easy family meal as well. I stopped in the night before to order a couple of things for a small kids' party the next day. The owner, who I liken to an uncle or even my Dad, was so helpful and kind. He's been there forever. (And I want to say he wasn't always as friendly in my earlier years going there, but this visit I was so pleasantly surprised. He was cracking jokes with the customers, calling everyone by name, and so patient.) He answered my questions and even threw in some extra lumpia to make sure we'd have enough for our party. The food was ready for pick up at the designated time. Many of our guests asked where the food was from and most would say, "Oh yeah, Maharlika," because they already knew about the good home cooking of this place. And those who weren't already familiar, praised the food. The broasted chicken, lumpia shanghai and pancit are never fail items. But we've never had anything there we didn't enjoy. Btw, that shanghai holds up! It stays crispy long after your party has started. No soggy lumpia here!

Best fried chicken I have had. I will definitely go here to cater fried chicken. I like then way better than all the chain fried chicken restaurants.

This review is for take-out only. It's a very small mom & pop shop. My friend placed a phone order on Thursday for a party tray of lumpia to pick up for Saturday. I don't even know how many lumpias he ordered but it was A LOT!! It was very crispy and hot. The sauce that they give is sweet chili sauce. It was pretty tasty! Very addicting to snack on. Definitely a crowd pleaser for large gatherings! Recommend!

Food is delicious and well priced. I got the combo and broasted chicken. I enjoyed the pork sinigang the most. The soup was perfectly sour and vegetables had a perfect bite to it. There was 2 pieces of pork in it, which was fine by me because I was craving the sour taste of the soup and the veggies from the sinigang. The adobo was a bit too salty for my taste. I typically like pouring the sauce on top of my rice with some meat but unfortunately it was too salty for my taste. The chicken was well cooked and super crispy. It is especially delicious if you eat it with spicy sweet and sour sauce. The one you eat with lumpia Shanghai. The only thing that I didn't like about the chicken was that the pieces are not cut at the joints. In the middle of a bite, you'll get a surprise joint, which makes it difficult to get the meat out. Not that big of a deal but would make the experience more pleasurable if thigh and leg were properly separated. The balance of price and taste makes it worth going to again. Going back to try their other dishes!

This mom and pops has been a round for awhile. Next door is a Burmese restaurant I frequently go to just for their Tea Leaf salad. When I went to Maharlika and ordered their fried chicken, it went so well with the Tea Leaf Salad from Kyain Kyain. The fried chicken pieces is tasty and not greasy at all. It's juicy and crunchy. However, it's a quarter leg piece that's chopped into pieces. Therefore, don't expect to get chicken breast meat or wings. I've tried their rice plate combo of adobo and fried chicken, it wasn't bad at all. This place has maintained to keep the prices low. And recently they had to raise it a tad bit. Which is still not bad at all! The older gentlemen who owns this place (with the wife) and is there -- always has jokes. They are friendly. I Love supporting these folks. The only downfall, at times they are not open when I drive out to Fremont to get my Tea Leaf Salad. Also, be patient because there can be a line. Don't bother calling to place an order. The over head is small, therefore you're not going to get the customer service expectations you want at a typical restaurant. Plus, it's for to go only!

Went here to place party tray order: Broiled chicken is good. Im not a fan of their pancit. I wish they had more choices thats ready to order/eat.

I've been coming to this place for many years and the food has been consistent throughout. The broasted chicken is the best but I try not to eat it too often due to cholesterol, lol. I'm not sure how they can keep their prices low even with the recent slight increase. Our family's absolute favorite is the Broasted Chicken, Sinigang (Tamarind Soup w/pork), and Lumpia Sanghal (eggroll), w/ rice combination. Price? Less than $15. I'm a definite repeat customer.
