This Safeway is the closest grocery store to my house which is the only reason that I even go to this location. I have came across expired items more than a handful of times. Sometimes the date is past expiration date and other times the expiration hasn't passed, but the food was clearly not edible. The last time was when I picked up spinach for dinner. Spend the extra time driving to go to a different Safeway. The lines here are always insanely long. I'm actually writing this review from line, I've been waiting in it for about 20 minutes so far... Look, it's a Sunday. People grocery shop on weekends, ya'll. If you've ever worked in a grocery store (or really any retail) you know weekends are when you need to staff up. Nice place. Suits my needs. Only complaint is that the chicken noodle soup has the overwhelming taste of rosemary now?? Why is that? It used to taste so good, like I could actually taste the chicken in the CHICKEN noodle soup. I prided Safeway on its savory chicken noodle soup. But now it's covered by the rosemary taste.
