The modeum seolleongtang is comparable to Dae Ho in San Mateo. The bibimbap was fresh and the bulgogi was tender. The bulgogi is more on the sweeter

So ecstatic to have a Seolleongtang place not too far away. This is great for any occasion but especially perfect for cold or rainy days, the soup will just warm you up.The menu is pretty straight forward, mostly soups but you can also get a few other types of dishes like galbijim here. You can't really go wrong with any of the soups here, but there is a distinct difference with Seolleongtang and the galbitang. The main difference between them is whether ox bone has been used. Galbitang is a clear beef soup made by boiling galbi--while seolleongtang is beef bone soup made by boiling the shank, the head and other scraps of bone until the broth turns milky white. The seolleongtang will also come unseasoned and you can add salt/pepper to your taste while the galbitang will come seasoned.Their side dishes are also delicious, I particularly love their kimchi, pairs perfectly with the seolleongtang. There are plenty of tables and the service is great, highly recommend if you're looking for a nice warm soup!

?In terms of price, HAN BAT has also increased to $18.27 per serving, which is similar to this one~?In terms of taste, HAN BAT’s snowy soup can taste rich without adding any seasoning . This one is still a bit inferior ??In addition to snow soup, I tried Ttubaegi Bulgogi. My companion expressed that he was very dissatisfied and lacked interest in eating.

==========Overall==========You can find Soo Ja Seolleongtang in a plaza right off of Stevenson Blvd. Be careful though because there are two! One is called "Soo Ja Seollongtang" and the other is "Soo Ja Fusion Bistro". They are sister restaurants but offer different menu sets. This one specializes in their entree menu and soups. Don't worry if you get it wrong though; you would just walk all the way across to the opposite end of the plaza and build your appetite right up for an extremely delicious meal.==========Restaurant==========They play kpop here. There is a soju poster on the wall. Everything is clean. These are the signs of a very good korean restaurant (proclaimed by my friends). It hits every tick on the rubric just as much as it hits the spot in my stomach. The service is great - they provide insights and recommendations and ask to check up if your food is on par with your expectations. Since this restaurant is on the newer side, I have not had any issues finding a table. I do hope it stays that way but I think this is one of the places that deserves to get the attention from the crowd.==========Food==========I do believe this place lives up to its name. Their soups, especially their seollongtang, is one of the best I have had here in the Bay Area.- Seollongtang (any) : This is their staple and what I always order whenever I come here. I have tried other items on their menu but this hits just the right spot with the flavor and the warmth.- Galbitang: My second favorite here and my new preference if I am in the area near Milpitas.- Doenjang Bibimbap: Classic traditional bi bim bap and a good choice if you're craving something not soupy.- Ttukbaegi Bulgogi: A sweet and rich flavored beef soup. I love how this was not too fatty but still packed a punch.

Food was fine but I'm not sure that the beef rib stew was worth it. If the portions were bigger maybe but not at this price.

We ordered the sooja seolleongtang and sooja suyuk. Both contained beef brisket and shank and were pretty much the same! If we had known better we would've tried something else. The brisket was nice and soft and had the right amount of fat. The table has a bowl of pepper and salt for you to flavor the soup. The service is also pretty good. They were quite attentive to us even though we were seated at the very end. Overall pretty tasty for what we ordered. The pickles they provided and other bonchon were really nice - I especially loved the onion and jalapeno pickle. I would come back to try their other items!

Found this new spot in Fremont and came here on a Saturday night with no wait. There are plenty of spots in the parking lot. I ordered the Galbi Tang ($26) and would highly recommend it. It came with rice and the standard side dishes but nothing special. It didn't come piping hot though. It came with 2 beef back ribs, which looked great for pictures but it was a bit annoying cutting it up and by the time I was done, the soup was warm. Quick tip: ask for tongs so it's easier to cut up. I was surprised by the amount of meat they gave and the soup was very flavorful! We also tried the Sooja Seolleongtang ($18), hence the restaurant name. There was a mishap but they did offer to make another one and apologized, which is why I took off 1 star. I would recommend the Galbi Tang over the Seolleongtang but if it's your first time still try it at least once. We didn't try the galbi jjim since it would've been too much food so maybe next time as I'm curious how this compares to another spot.

Dined in on a Thursday evening around 6:30pm. It was pretty empty when I got there but noticed it got busy later on. When I first walked in, my first thought was that it's a pretty spacious spot. For a group of 4, we ordered the Modeum Suyuk and Maeun Galbijjim. It was the perfect amount!Modeum Suyuk - Ordered this because it came with brisket, shank, tendon, and ox tail. They give you a small bowl of extra broth on the side. Once you put your spoon in it, you hit pan. It's not shallow compared to other places, so be careful of spillage when you mix it. Meat quality was good though.Maeun Galbijjim - This is supposed to have a "spicy" sauce compared to the original but there wasn't really a spicy kick to it (or at all). We wished the vegetables were cooked more so it's softer. Potatoes were more on the hard side. Braised beef was tender. We were told they're still working on their alcohol license. After dinner, my friends and I walked over (right across in the same plaza) to Soo Ja Fusion Bistro for some post-dinner drinks. Overall, good quality comfort food. Parking was easy since it's located in a plaza.
