Yalla used to be my favorite Mediterranean place in the area but they changed the menu and seriously upped the prices this spring. The line is always super long and very slow now that everything is "build your own" style and each customer has to debate of the many options for toppings. I liked it better before when you could just order your style of food and add or take away things from their base combo that was already made up for you. Serving size also went way down with the menu and price change so that's a another drawback. This place used to be great.

Yo this place was bomb. It's like a Mediterranean version of Chipotle, much healthier too. ;)Honestly, my mom's been hyping this place up and I finally got the chance to try it. I loved how refreshing all the different sides were and how well it worked with the proteins we got. My favorite side was probably the baba ganoush, I definitely recommend it, its eggplant btw. This opened my taste palette to another culture/cuisine and I'd honestly come back to try a gyro wrap or another plate.

Really cool make ur own type Mediterranean spot. I got the shalafel wrap with steak and it was delicious. The service is great so feel free to try all their items especially the spicy feta and their sauces.

After relocating back to California, finally decided to give Yalla another try with their contact-less order. To place an order for pick-up, you must order through their website. This was not the easiest to navigate at first. In addition, it adds on additional fees (I assume tips etc). I personally did not like this add-on because it did not allow me to customize the amount I wanted to tip. Pick-up was a breeze. The meal was ready by the designated time I chose. However, no utensils were provided in the bag. This kind of sucked because I had planned to eat this at the park. The food: Portion size has not changed. SO much food is piled into the take-out container, and the flavors was just as good as I remembered. This is like the Chipotle of mediterranean food. Quick and filling!

Was good, went back recently they changed their format to bowl style. I dont like this style. Not sure why they changed but its kinda like slopped into a bowl now. Better place is dish and dash at pacific commons.

Got this again two nights ago and they did not do a good job. The serving size was way less. I ordered the same thing, the Yalla plate, and it was only half filled up. They barely gave any rice. I asked for quinoa and they did not even give me any. Keep in mind, I placed the order online again. When my boyfriend went inside to pick up the order, he said he saw one of the employees just slacking off and texting on their phone while another employee was working on orders. There was a whole line of orders that they had not done yet. Not sure why the other employee did not help out. The amount of chicken they gave was good but probably because I paid for extra chicken. Sadly, everything else were in tiny scoops. I hope the next time I order, the portion size goes back up to what they gave me the first 2 times. Really disappointed this time. They seemed too busy.Update in the picture: Found hair that looks like pubic hair while eating my leftovers. SO GROSS!

On the two occasions since Covid and post Ca's state wide mask order we went here to get take out we saw that the person cooking the food had her mask pulled down to her chin, once while the manager was present. The second time, which was when the manager was there, he clearly saw me giving the side eye to my partner and promptly sent the cook to the back to do prep work (so she wouldn't be seen while blatantly not wearing her mask?!?). We left shortly after without ordering. Beware! Total bummer too because we used to love the food here.

kinda overpriced, but for the quality and quantity you get it's almost worth it. So much flavor and fast to serve. Actually has lots vegetable side options which a lot of other Mediterranean restaurants in fremont lacked.

Got a chicken shawarma wrap and impossible wrap with veggies. Both were delicious and very filling. The pita base was incredibly soft too.Bonus points to the staff who were patient and helpful in describing the menu options.Would definitely visit again to try their other offerings!

I spent 14 dollars for a beef and lamb gyro and I get this? Extremely disappointed, and the feeling of being ripped off doesn't come close. Disgraceful

Ordered because they offer good vegan options, including Impossible. But it would have been great if the falafel wasn't super salty. The Impossible seemed overseasoned too. The wrap tasted much better with the proteins taken out though, the pita was nice and soft.

HEALTH HAZARD: Let me start my review with the fact that their food is the bomb. I love this place. I used to eat here at least three times a week but then the pandemic happened and we have been eating at home. But today for the first time in two and half months I walked into this place super excited to eat my favorite food. There were three employees there: one cooking food with no gloves and her mask down, the second one was prepping take out I guess and he had his face mask only covering his chin so his mouth and nose the major part that are supposed to be covered were totally exposed. The third one has no mask on walking out of the kitchen bringing supplies. As we were contemplating whether to order or not neither one of them tried to at least put their mask on when they saw customers. This is a huge health concern and should be addressed. I will not go there again but I do worry about people who would be possibly exposed because of these employees' neglect.

Dear Owner, I just had a shawarma and baklava over the counter and taste was pathetic chicken marination was not at all real. Taste like indian spices and bucklawa supposed to be served room temperature or warm but they served me cold one so it was very soggy. I think you really need to change ur receipe and pitta bread was like pizza base, though all shawarma served in half cut and stuffing is place inside pita so anyone can have it easy. I am though big fan of shwarama tried many countires but love
