Oh, where should I am start? Very bad experience with the service and food. Absolutely can get much better quality food with the price you are paying. Not much respect from the server even with seniors... why this restaurant is still around??

Food: We have not come to this restaurant for a couple of years now and the food served used to be good from the original owner. Last Sat, we came for lunch after the mission peak hike. Apart from the food being non-delicious, it is really expensive for ($18+) lunch special of a plate bento with two items, a miso soup and a small bowl of iceberg lettuce (tasteless mayo dressing). We ordered the rolls, and they can't even do the rolls right ($16+ per roll), caterpillar (more like a brown avocado roll), and rainbow roll (fish not fresh and sad looking). What a big disappointment and went to another restaurant to complete our lunch and stomach filled. Service was okay, and it was dark inside. Will not ever come back to this restaurant.

My wife and I had a nice dinner at Yuki this evening. We have been going there for years and met the new sushi chef who was very friendly and skilled. We had nigiri sushi, a variety of hand rolls and maki, as well as seaweed salad. All were fresh and delicious. The service was excellent with a relaxing ambiance.

I used to come to this place pretty often even though they never remembered me. I used to like this place and recommend it to many of my friends. However, the recent visit was not that pleasant. Service was ok but not Michelin star service. However they charged us more than Michelin star dinner tips percentage for our lunch. First, nobody charged 20%+ tips for LUNCH for a party of 5. Second, you are not supposed to charge tips for tax. That’s like a 22%-23% tips of the food price. You just lost a loyal customer by adding a few more bucks that’s not supposed to be added. It was LUNCH! Not planning to come back anymore! さよなら!

Good food with reasonable price. Recommend their lunch combo. Quiet dining environment is a plus.

Didn't mention that sushi bar is closed...food is okay, just very expensive for what they offer. Portion is also okay.

In 2023, the service at Yuki has changed a lot. The food is no longer fresh, and they no longer offer sushi. The chef has been making really overcooked and salty fish recently. Also, the waitress is trying to add more money to the menu for basic items. There are much better alternatives in the nearby area that serve twice as much food for half the price. And the waitress has a terrible attitude as well. I don't understand how this place got great ratings in the first place.

This place has gone downhill severely over time. I was a regular customers for years. There's a lady here who is extremely rude and mean to clients. She puts on over $20 of extra charges after you order, and doesn't tell you about it beforehand. I got scammed eating here once and would never come here again. They're running out of business because of the bad attitude of the waitress and keep over charging clients.

I like tonkotsu and salmon miso here. It was a nice try. Also sashimi is very fresh.

Yuki Japanese is probably one of my go-to restaurants in Fremont, but I'm a little conflicted on how many stars I want to give Yuki. Don't get me wrong, the food is delicious. Some of my favorite items on the menu include the combination lunch/dinner, the spider roll, and the nabeyaki udon. But the service... is a hit or miss. The prices of the menu items have also doubled/tripled in the last few years or so. What used to be a ~$10-12 combination lunch now sits at around $18.The restaurant itself is cozy and small, and generally, the tables are pretty empty, so you could probably walk-in without a reservation.

Food was delicious. I got the udon and she got the saba.Service was on point. And ambiance was very zen.

I ordered Nabeyaki Udon for take-out as lunch. The menu in this yelp "full menu" says it costs $9.75, but it charged me for $20 more in the restaurant pickup time. The waitress said that the menu is 20 years old. If the menu is 20 years ago, why it is still in Yelp page?

Nice ambiance, cozy place to meet up with friends for lunch. Japanese decor with partitions. More privacy where you can chit chat with friends.

This used to be my favorite restaurant in Fremont years ago. I remember the lunch was incredible, you pick any two items for $9.95, and portion of each item was big enough as a stand alone lunch. The place was always packed during lunch hours. Today I stopped by for lunch, the price has doubled, the lunch combination portion has decreased by about 40-50%. The older female waitress has an angry look on her face the entire time, I saw she speak sternly to another customer. I felt very uncomfortable with her demeanor, It seemed she didn't want to serve the customers, or she resented her work. The younger waitress was very kind and sweet.
