Food: not served in order requested, miso soup was not hot, spicy tuna rolls had less than 25% tuna, only 7-8 tiny pieces, never saw so small rolls), had to ask for my beers twice, served after main dish arrived, Like it was not enough, I had no wasabi nor soy sauce which I had to wait 10 min after asked twice to get Sorry but super bad service, food not great and not warm

Not what I would call Japanese restaurant. Starting with the service. The guy that took our order was not friendly. Has hearing problems. His appearance of a busboy. He could use a shower and wash and comb his hair. I ordered chicken teriyaki box. I don’t know what I was served. It had chicken and a couple of shrimps. Per the menu I was to get miso soup, traditional salad, vegetable tempera, chicken teriyaki and rice. We ordered sushi but didn’t get those until well after the chicken meal. Only because I was starving I started eating some chicken. It was pretty good but dry. The rice was disgusting. It was not white sticky rice it was more like fried rice that you would receive in a Chinese restaurant. It smelled like puke. My friend who is not picky at all couldn’t eat it. He said it tasted awful. I never received my tempora, I never received my soup and the salad was just a green salad with 3 yellow hard not ripe tomatoes half’s on top. Dressing was a vinaigrette. The sushi finally arrived. I ordered a plain tuna roll (teka nmaki). I repeated it to him. Just plain tuna roll. Not spicy. He said plain tuna roll. What I got was a roll with a spec of tuna and what looked like cream cheese. I didn’t touch it and when I finally got him to acknowledge me. He rolled his eyes and took it back. Time passed and he then brought me another supposed plain tuna roll. No seawead in it or around it. It did have a tiny bit of tuna in it but the rice was not white sticky rice it was off color. Like a green to brownish tint. It had black things in it. I was so hungry I just went ahead and ate it. The rice was flavored. I want to mention the place was not crowded. There was no waiting for a seat. I never saw the guy really busy. In my whole life of 58 years I have never, ever had an order of plain tuna roll made wrong. I’ve never sent sushi back. These people do not know what Japanese food is. I will never return to this place and I will never recommend this place. I only give it one star because there is no half star.

My boyfriend and I were super excited to try this place for the first time so we walked in and the asian gentleman behind the bar with longish hair and tattoos glanced at us then quickly looked away but I didn’t give it another thought and we just sat down. We weren’t acknowledged by anyone else after that as we continued to wait at the bar. The guy next to us called the same guy over and he still didn’t say anything to us. I was at least expecting a “we’ll be right with you guys” at the very least but nothing. We were pretty annoyed so we just walked out. I’m sure it’s a great place but the people working during the time we went in were pretty terrible.

The art work on this restaurant is very nice. I went on a Sunday night. The service sucks if you get there at seven even though they close at eight and you want to order food. I ordered a drink and they never made it. The food my friend ordered was nothing special. I would suggest going elsewhere. It was even hard to get the waitress' attention.

We dined in for dinner. The customer service was great and the atmosphere was good, but the sushi was blah. The rice tasted old which was super disappointing. It will be our last time there since the food isn’t good. Restaurants can look amazing with great service, but if your food doesn’t match, we won’t be coming back nor would we recommend our family/friends.

I'm just gonna cut to the chase. I loved it. My friend Larry--we go WAY back--kept speaking negatively about her experience here, mainly her distaste for what she refers to as "the monkey balls," and straight from the lion's mouth, she claims, "Now, I know a thing or two (and sometimes three) about balls!" Um, ok pal, we believe you!! I visited this monument to the gods, this crystal palace of all that is Japanese cuisine, with my darling beloved, my voluptuous bride. Her knee's been in complete agony, and this is just what the doctor (Dr. Cruz) ordered: a sushi roll, tempura appetizer, and cocktails. Each mouthwatering morsel got my brain racing, a torrent of pure ecstasy electrifying the synapses of my cerebrum, like Frankenstein animating his most abhorred creation. I, too, abhorred the atavistic nightmare these toothsome piscine viands birthed inside of me. One taste, I became a monster starving for more. Two tastes, I transformed fully into a demon, Lucifer awakening in Milton's Hell, free from his chains and ready to rule in pleasure and sin. Papa likey, and that's an understatement. The sashimi got me going like nothing else could, and the cocktails are beautifully crafted and exquisitely priced for a humble gourmand as myself. Yeah... I think I'm gonna make another visit to Banzai. Larry was absolutely dead wrong. She ended up loving it upon her second visit, and the rest of my dining party was head over heels, as well. Thank you, Banzai, for making my "Hump Day" a real treat!Illustrated below is Larry's eyes, beaming with joy at her second visit to this fabulous local establishment. Only the eyes are displayed so as to protect the true identity of this skeptical dining companion.

I absolutely love their happy hour! Do yourself a favor and order the spicy edamames, gyozas, 911 dynamite, I mean everything in their menu is delicious. You can find me here at least once a week when I’m in town.

The stuffed mushrooms were small and super dry. The seafood salad was just sashimi on a bed of dry salad. I thought it was supposed to have seaweed & cucumber like other places. There also was no sauce for it. So the food was a no. All of the sushi tasted the same. I'm not sure the restaurant understands the taste behind Japanese food. But the ambiance was nice and right on the downtown strip.
