My friend was raving about this place so she chose to come here for her bday. We brought our kids and were actually excited too cuz we love Mediterranean Food. Unfortunately, are very disappointed. We got there at 7pm got seated and placed our orders and then the waitress came about 20 minutes later to let us know they ran out of Chicken Strips that 3 of my kids ordered. So we settled to order chicken n rice. Then one plate came out and then we had to wait another 20 minutes for the other plates to come out and was told the hummus and pita bread and appetizers were taken off because they were super busy. At this time customers were coming in and out ordering and got their to-go orders before us. It's already 7:50pm my daughter and my friend, the birthday girl haven't gotten their plates yet my daughter had to eat from my son's plate it was so sad. So the waitress comes cleaning some tables and them comes up to us to ask if we are wanting anything else? ...We tell her YES we are missing my daughters chicken and rice plate and the friends Chicken Kabob plate. She goes in the back to check and she comes back apologizing that she had to rewrite the orders and accidentally forgot to put them on the new order. She said she would personally pay for the plates because she felt bad. So at this point we are pissed and wanted to talk to the manager and the manager came out apologizing saying the Owner had some family issues and wasn't there and they are all new and still learning. Like okay? I get it but man warn us to let us know so we get the chance to leave but they had us there past 8pm waiting for food when they close at 8pm!......So he took off 2 plates off our order and the plate the waitress offered to pay for she ended up not paying so my friend, the birthday girl who was waiting for her plate still had to pay for it. It was just a hot mess.... we wished we were able to speak to the owner because usually my friend says when he's there it's perfect. BUT YEA we were extreme disappointed, my kids were so tired of waiting and I'm sorry I honestly wished we didn't go there last night.

I’ve been to nearly every Mediterranean food spot in Fresno and Gus is my favorite. Their garlic sauce is unbeatable in flavor!! I order the chicken kabob plate with pita bread and it hits every time. Their hummus is so good.
The food is good but the service is very slow and disorganized. 25 minutes for a take out order for one is too long. Person taking the orders was hurried and a little rude.

Food is good but the service is awful, I tried so many times having a really bad experience with the staff, but today was the worst, ordered ahead of time, went there and food was not ready, I waited and waited, was charged without the food being ready, she said is almost ready, but it was never, so I requested a refund, her eyes rolled ? refund was given, no lunch obviously, but every time I go there is always the same with the bad service, being ignored etc. I didn't want to post a bad review, because I like to support small businesses around, but this was my last time trying with them. Hopefully in the future when the staff is different, but for now I am done.It was too many times feeling this way with the lady in the front, I never want to complaint but that's it, I got tired of her rudeness with me. =(

I have been going to Gus's for some time and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh. The service is always fast. The staff is amazing and courteous. I would highly recommend. BEST LENTIL SOUP AROUND!
