“As you walk in you're greeted by a few smiley faces and a couple of rotating shawarmas filled with meat. That's how you know this spot is good. Had a beef shawarma plate and the meat was grilled so well. Would definitely come back and try the whole menu.“
“I found Ginza while out on business in the Central Valley looking for some deals on Upside. This place intrigued me as I was going to be in the area Friday and I needed meatless or fish items. This place can be a little tricky to find if it's your first time going here, but it's easy on and off. This store reminds me of places like Hibachi Express that are more quick-serve than full restaurant. That said, the atmosphere is nice for for a hole in the wall restaurant. The food was good, though it could use a few tweaks to make it awesome. I had the "scampi" shrimp with tempura shrimp and veggies plate and a bowl of miso soup. The soup came out piping hot a d freshly made and for the most part tastes as miso soup should. Service for the main plate had prompt, but also as if made to order. The plates come with a scoop of steamed rice and a small side salad. The rice was just right and fresh, the salad was nothing home to write about. It was good, bit didn't stick out. The tempura batter was light and crispy, but the sauce served with the tempura didn't add much for me. This might be a case where a different dip/sauce would come in handy. The other small critique is that I'd like to see at least two pieces of tempura shrimp for that particular plate. Felt like it was mostly tempura vegetables to me. The real highlight was the scampi-styled shrimp. The sauce they used was very flavorful (you can also request to adjust the spice level, too). The shrimp was cooked very well and the main dilemma was that I wanted more of it.Most folks will like spend at least $15 for a meal (entrée and drink); the cheapest dish is around $12-$13. If you want sides or eating with family, definitely expect about $15/adult. While a fast-service restaurant, I had a good experience with the service. The front of the house was attentive with my order and also took care of the soda refills. They were also very personable as well and an overall experience. If you're looking for a relatively fast-service Japanese restaurant in Fresno, Ginza is a good choice. I believe they just need a couple tweaks and they would be a great place to go.“
“A friend brought over their Jerusalem spicy sandwich, and oh My was that delicious or what?? and really a good portion size! The only thing that would've gone best with it was garlic sauce but probably they have it at the restaurant and my friend didn't bring it.“
“Stopped by on way home to try for lunch. Has the combo kebab lunch with beef, chicken and lulu. Also with plate was delicious pilaf and salad. There was enough to have two meals. Order taken at counter and she was very helpful to make decision what to order. The inside eating area and also patio were very inviting. I will be back and have also recommended to others“
“For Secretary Day my boss purchased a lunch that was truly amazing and yummy! I chose the main Naako with tri tip, two with different sauces..don't know what they were but one spicy and one creamy! The sweet potato waffle fries with spicy toppings were so enjoyable as well! I will be returning with my family!“
“Cutest breakfast spot!!! The interior is SO adorable. Got seated on a Sunday morning immediately and service was super quick! Literally ordered and got our food in 5-6 minutes. The food is standard - all the typical breakfast classics and some specialities like breakfast enchiladas and nutella crepes. I got the standard bacon and eggs and was satisfied. This breakfast doesn't rock your socks off, but it's still good. No complaints! The server continuously checked in to refill our coffee and was super friendly! The bill came by pretty fast. I like coming here for the vibes and will def come againnnnn.“
“AJ’s is a popular restaurant serving authentic Armenian cuisine—at a very reasonable price. When we visited, Keyma was the dinner special. I'm not a fan of raw ground beef but it was nice to see it on the menu. We enjoyed the grape leaves and hummus with pita for an appetizer. This was followed by the mini Lahmajuns and Trout. The Trout was exceptionally flavorful and a large portion, along with pilaf and roasted vegetables. Highly recommend for an evening out, but make a reservation! As mentioned, it is a popular restaurant.“
“Nice local spot, fast table service and VERY tasty food. My reference is the amazing Armenian food in Glendale, and Allas is of the same caliber. Feels like a great place for takeout as well, lots of walk in customers while I was there. Never neglected as a dine in customer, though! Looking forward to my next chance to visit.“
“Came in because I seen an advertisement on social media. Since Armenian Food is one of my favorite I decided to drop in for lunch. When you walk in there is a lot of room for seating. There were about 10 people sitting upon my arrival. The menu has very limited options. They have pizza by the slice but I wasn't here for that, but good to know they have oven baked pizza. It took about 15-20 mins for my food to be done so if you in a rush call in, the slice of pizza is fast so I see why the slice of pizzas can be a bit pick grab for the downtown traffic. This is an epic location so foot traffic is plenty. The cashier is young learning trying to multi task so customer service is little to non just order and wait there is no real communication besides hi and your order total. Which is fine since it lunch rush I don't see any help besides the cashier and cook so maybe that's why it's slow motion. Besides me next time calling in to save me time, I'll come back.I ordered the chicken breast plate with garlic sauce. The garlic sauce is good, more creamy with no a so strong garlic taste so your breath won't be that kicking afterwards. I like that the chicken has a flamed grilled taste like it came from a pit. Thumbs up for that, the salad is fresh and has great variety of lettuces and spinach. The pita bread was served warm so that's a thumbs too. you know the popular guys no names just throws in a bag of bread, so for the pita bread to be toasted and hot good job the rice pilaf is average. Overall the plate gets a 8/10 would recommend I'll be back!“
“The food here is great. I recommend getting there a little early for lunch to beat the wait.I ordered the following:PitaMixed greensTzatziki sauce and harissa hummusLemon chickenPicked cabbage, cucumber, tomato, red onionTraditional tahiniThis was a very tasty pita, great sauce and lemon chicken.“
“Food is great. Their service is totally dependent on who you get. They want to move fast and have zero patience for customers still deciding on what they want. Think "Seinfeld soup kitchen" they're intense and often come across super rude. It's kind of funny honestly.“
“HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! My wife and I love this restaurant. Definitely one if not our favorite in Fresno. My wife always orders the rack of lamb and it never disappoints her. So tender and juicy. My son loves the chicken kabobs with french fries. The chicken pieces are very large and very tender and juicy considering its breast meat. As for me, whenever its available, i get the baby back ribs with the grilled veg. And the garlic sauce that comes with each dish goes well with all the dishes I have mentioned. My wife always orders the lentil soup, too. We have never had a disappointing meal here. The serving size is normally big enough for me to have a second meal at home. And they have great desserts, too. As for the place itself, its huge. Plenty of room if you want a family gathering. They accommodate private parties. They always treat us with respect and we always leave very satisfied. We wish you all have the same experience soon.“
“Chicken kebab is pretty much the best I’ve ever had. Lula kebab also amazing. Large portions great for someone on a budget like myself. Easily two meals from each order.Vegetarian options: Grilled vegetables are superb. Yet to try the Falafel..but pretty sure it’s going to be good.“
“Pretty good, I think. We had it delivered for work. Love how it's packaged. Wish the bread held up a tad better. Loved the carrots and ranch. Potato salad was great! Pasta salad was disappointing. Everyone enjoyed the cheese cake treat. Great portions.Overall, it's a healthy lunch box. Reminds me of a middle school field trip lunch, just an adult version.“
“My sister took me here the other day. The service was very good. The place was very clean, including the bathrooms . Both our meals were delicious. My sister had lamb kabobs, and I had the chicken kabobs nice portions, too, made 2 meals for me . I would definitely recommend this place.“
“I have had this restaurant on my list to try as I haven’t been able to find what I am looking for when it comes to Mediterranean food in Fresno. As most customers stated, as soon as I entered, I felt welcomed. The decor is very nice as well as the staff I encountered. My waiter was Samuel who was extremely prompt. I explained to him about my experiences thus far hence me not wanting to waste money on things I love only to be disappointed. He listened, unlike some waiters and waitresses, and helped me with options and provided some suggestions.I had their Long Island Iced Tea (poured by Samuel himself) which tasted as it should - like iced tea! He definitely knows how to pour as I can only count on one hand the number of Long Islands where the alcohol is masked … but the alcohol is felt.It was my boyfriend first time with Mediterranean cuisine so I ordered a small hummus to start (recommended by Samuel as I didn’t see the small one on the menu). He was so creamy … and the presentation was remarkable.Once my boyfriend arrived, he ordered the Spicy Chicken based on pictures I showed him on Yelp. Me, I wanted everything! However I ended up with the gyro wrap with a side of roasted potatoes. I must say, probably the best roasted potatoes I’ve had because I love garlic … and it was the perfect amount. The garlic sauce is excellent as well. Creamy and garlicky.I tasted my boyfriend’s Spicy Chicken and it was delicious! This creamy and spicy dish is as something I didn’t expect. I do not like rice pilaf, but I am a huge fan of theirs. Delicate and flavorful.Samuel did not rush us nor any of the other staff. Some restaurants rush you out as if there a time limit.Dessert … I had to bring something back for my mother. I already had my heart set on the lemon cake based on Yelp images, but Samuel advised the cheesecake is superb as well as the famous cake. He did not lie. The best lemon cake I’ve ever had and my mom loved her cheesecake. The only sad thing was when I called back later to find out if they sell the cake whole … ?I will be back to try the shawarmas and falafels for sure! Thanks for giving me a place to find what I am looking for .. finally!Dietary restrictions: Freshly made so can accommodateKid-friendliness: Small restaurant but feels like home to meWheelchair accessibility: Ramp available and no obstacles in restaurant“
“First time finding this somewhat hidden gem. Spicy Chicken was amazing! Heat medium was perfect for me. Will be back. Soon!! Dined on the patio... Nice fountain and relaxing..Vegetarian options: Options are goodDietary restrictions: Personal preferenceKid-friendliness: Place is safe!Wheelchair accessibility: Normal“
“Nina's Bakery is absolutely a must visit for delicious, fresh, authentic Armenian Food and goodies! I have visited this awesome family owned business for years! We have had them cater events & grab market items for creating our own delicious Armenian Foods. I stopped by today in the late afternoon, and everything I wanted was fully stocked. In the refrigerated section, I got fresh Yalanchi, Tabouli, Eech, Baba Ganoush, and Hummus. All these were super delicious, & authentic - & these items I got happen to be Vegan! Being 100% Armenian, let me tell you, I have attended numerous events and their mezza (Armenian Appetizers) are either the ones being served, or they would rival anyone else's! I love that I can count on Nina's to stock my fridge with consistent, delicious flavors! Also picked up some pita bread and Chorag too! Other family faves from here are lahmajoon, tourshi, lavash, manti, & braided string cheese. FYI-The feel when you enter is very welcoming, and it's always nice to be greeted by a member of the family. You can often see the hard working employees in the back making fresh items too. Shelves are stocked & organized with pantry items, refrigerated, and freezer items as well. When I love something, I want others to know about it- so there ya go! Enjoy, go check them out!“
“I got a combo platter and it was great. The price seems reasonable for the amount of food. I'm glad I ordered ahead because they were busy and I still had a bit of a wait. I enjoyed the food - the meat seemed really good quality. Eat every bite kind of meal... and still want more. Drinks are just soda cans which is disappointing, and weird ordering system but I guess that's the world we live in. Interesting decor to say the least.“
“If you have diabetes and are looking for low-carb good food, this is the place I checked my blood sugar after having salad with hummus and tzatziki sauce and toppings, had no blood sugar spike I’m definitely going back. Staff is really nice too.Dietary restrictions: Diabetic friendly“
“Weekend lunch with one friend. Upon entry, there was no staff, they seemed busy in the back. Had the salad with chicken and spicy garlic sauce. Delicious sauce, but chicken was on the dry side. Salad was fresh and crisp. Good size portion. Will visit again.“
“DELICIOUS! So delicious that I visited this place a total of about 3 times in roughly 2 weeks and it won't be the last. I purchased the Chicken Luleh with rice pilaf and a small side of baba ghanoush. You can taste a delicious smoked flavor in the baba ghanoush and I have to get it every single time. The chicken luleh is thick and juicy, while the rice pilaf seems to be Turkish style and pairs well with the chicken and mini salad of tomatoes and cucumbers. Can't get enough!“
“Food is fantastic breakfast and lunch for breakfast I have the scrambled egg and veggies they make their own homemade salsa. For lunch the chicken salad or lavish roll is excellent they cook right in front of you the best ingredients. Service is great they're fast at taking our order and good about checking on us if we need anything else. Love the Poplarville photographs. Very comfortable atmosphere.“
“Yerevan's service and food is unmatched in Fresno. They catered a traditional Armenian memorial lunch for us, and the owners were truly spectacular in listening and delivering before and during our event. The food is authentic and delicious. The owners were very thoughtful in anticipating our needs, dealing with a difficult contact person at the venue, and checking in with us throughout the whole event to make sure everything was to our liking. We truly appreciate everything they did and strongly recommend them for your next event.“
“Placed my order through Yelp (GrubHub), and picked up my order. Employee let me know they didn't have chicken souvlaki and put chicken gyro instead, which was fine by me. I'm glad they communicated that to me. The chicken tasted alright, maybe could use a bit more flavor. Loved the yogurt dressing and the salad and the rice. Baklava was decent. Would like to try the beefteki next time.“
“My son & I came in based on a recommendation from a friend for dinner tonight. Glad that we did! Food is good, service is good, along with the over all ambiance & feel. Hats off to the chiefs, my chicken was not dry, rubbery or tough (realistically, chicken always gets messed up lol) it came out good.I ended up getting the Spicy Chicken along with hummus & pita bread as an app. The hummus & pita bread was great, I could order that all the time, so good. My food had good flavor & taste, along with the rice also being good. Thankfully it was not undercooked & hard. The dinner salad has a nice taste, I was happy with it. My son got the Kabab burrito & was very happy with it!All in all: Good food, good service, nice atmosphere, along with being clean. Well worth the visit!“
“Love it. They are very well stocked on most everything. I wish they had a small area with FROZEN items that were good & ready for traveling: King String cheese & Lahmajoon. The last couple of times I have gone in, the Persian cucumbers were pretty few & VERY picked over. Overall, they still are 4 out of 5 ⭐ & I can get pretty much everything in this one store.“
“Very friendly staff and the food is magnificent. Also since don't need meat they were very helpful about the dishes that contained chicken stock.Vegetarian options: just told 'em didn't eat any animal products; they knew just what to recommend.“
“We have always came in and picked up food and it had always been delicious. But recently we had them caterer a birthday party and they did an amazing job. Everyone was very impressed with the food. All over our gusts asked who catered. They loved it and so did we.“
“I finally got to try the food here and I have to say it did not disappoint. It was all delicious. I got the chicken shawarma plate, it came with hummus, rice and a salad. The chicken had this delicious spicy sauce that was drizzled all over. I shared with my daughter who then wanted her own plate so I got her the beef plate. That plate was also delicious. I can’t wait to go back and try the other items. Friendly staff, clean place and I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves flavorful authentic middle eastern food. Yum“
