OMGosh ... $9.50 for a very small sandwich, maybe a 7 incher. There was almost no mayo and mustard was, it all fell apart and was a mess. So not worth the money. I will not go back. I went here years ago and it was much better, I thought,.. now I wonder about that. :(

Went for breakfast and the lady was so damn rude.. she had her hand on her hip waiting for us to order, never offered us a menu, my husband jokingly asked if they had menudo and she replied with s straight mean face “ we ARE NOT a Mexican restaurant “ my husband asked for a menu she took one out and instead of handing it to him she dropped it in front of him! She looked us up and down and was rude as hell!! Not an ounce of kindness.. you could feel the prejudice from the moment we walked in and it got stronger every second of dealing with this lady with a crew cut!! Can’t say If the food was good cuz we walked out after she dropped the menu at my husband!! This is Fresno people, if you dont like diversity dont open a restaurant in such a diverse place!!!

Very Disappointed! First time I went, one of the best sandwiches I've tried in Fresno! It was all about the very soft fresh bread and vegetables. Second time not the same.. still fresh vegetables but on a regular San Francisco sandwich bread. Just not the same. Will have to find another sandwich spot! I really miss Genos Subs! Best sandwich bread ever!!!

Bran Muffins! I know, bran muffins don't sound all that appetizing, but these are delicious. They jab a square of butter in the middle, it's awesome. These things are an orchestra of warm moist buttery goodness. Order them by the dozen - they love making more bran muffins! Bran bran bran! Muffin muffin muffins!

I had heard about this shop in the media and been by many times. I showed up at noon to pick up a phoned in order. Place was full with patrons at each table. We ordered 4 large hot pastrami sandwiches. Pastrami was one strip of 1/8" thick under lettuce and cheese sauce. Sandwich was less filling than a Subway sandwich and was very small. Over $50 for 4 small sandwiches and I was embarrassed to have brought them to my friends. Called back restaurant and no answer.

10/10! I've been there twice and both times I've had a great experience. Not only is the food amazing, but the prices can't be beat. I recommend the sausage breakfast sandwich, pancake, and steak sandwich. I can't wait to try more items!

What a great find! I had never heard of the Sandwich Works, and a friend and suggested lunch there. When I asked how long they've been in business, it was, I think almost 40 years... I was shocked I've never been there before, because I love sandwiches! I got the works, which had six meats on it, which was delicious. Sadly, I forgot to ask them to heat it up, which they will do on any sandwich that you have. My friend had delicious soup as well as a sandwich. Additionally, I absolutely love the decor... You can't help but walk around and stroll through a little snapshot of Fresno. They are great pictures of planes as well. Very friendly couple running the place. Highly recommend!

Food was great, prices average! We got it to go. Don't give condiments! I like ketchup for my fry's and ranch would have been nice for my jalapeño poppers! I waited in the car husband said he didn't want to go back in everyone starring and cashier not the nicest to ask for condiments! Doesn't everyone like ketchup with fry's!
