Was scrolling on Doordash and noticed that Sarku Japan had a 4.7 star rating, so I decided to give it a try. For $11, this was a great amount of food! The chicken was flavorful and cooked well, and the rice was also really, really good. The veggies had no flavor but topped with the teriyaki sauce they tasted great. I had no idea that this was located in Fashion Fair, but will buy from them again when I happen to be shopping in the area! Bonus: I really liked the to-go containers. It's sturdy plastic and has a little compartment for the sauce container to sit on top!!

Excellent place to eat delicious, the service is very good, the taste is very good and a somewhat healthy option. They are located in the food source of the shopping center.

Very little portion of meet, chicken, and two dollars for extra chicken that’s crazy, chicken was dry and over cooked, this was my first and last time eating here.

Very disappointed. Chicken was overcooked. Had to ask for a fork and had to go back to get some teriyaki sauce. Food was mediocre at best.

Honestly this food is so incredible I don't even have a picture go show because I quite literally devoured it! The only thing I would caution against is the service... they cook the food right in front of you teppanyaki style so it does take a minute to get your food. Another thing to be warned against is the staff... one cook in particular was incredibly rude... he had placed my food on top of the separation window in front of me and said "your food is ready but your roll isn't" which was fine, I told him okay and waited for my shrimp tempura roll without saying anything. He eventually walked back and saw my food still on the counter and extended his arms out in an exasperated manner and huffed "Like I SAID... your roll isn't ready but your food is! Take it!" Even if he did say that earlier, which I did not hear, that was rude regardless.

Eating at Sarku isn't just about eating for me. It's that Nostalgia for me. Disclosure- I worked at Champs Sports in 2002 and I worked at Gottschalks in 2004 and I don't remember a time when there was not Sarku. Food- The chicken was cooked well. I honestly don't remember if it used to come with a terryaki sauce, but it does not and is a little bland to me. This used to be a $5 meal, but price has gone up to $10. The only sauce that's available now is Sriracha. Service at Sarku has always been what it is, a food court place you order from. You order. Wait for your food, while they call the number and get your food. Ambiance- The Fashion Fair Food Court does need an upgrade. It is dark and drab and needs a little more. However, I've been to very nice food courts. Anaheim Packing District has a food court that is gorgeous and they sell things like gravity noodles & cotton candy boba. Mall of America has a whole amusement park with rides like SpongeBob rollercoaster and Fly over America like the one at Disneyland and San Jose has a food court that sells food like pho. Fashion Fair food court needs an upgrade, but Sarku is still getting four stars because they've been the most consistent thing here and good portions. One less star because food is bland and gotten expensive.

I was craving for their teriyaki chicken and noodles, so I went to the Fashion Fair mall, just to get the food ?, I really love it! the chicken is cooked just to perfection, juicy and tasty (unlike Panda which is undercooked ?) the steamed veggies are so delicious, and I'm not a veggie person! Tempura shrimp are yummy as well?

I have been a customer of Sarku Japan for 10+ years and never have I had a complaint about their food or customer service. I understand mistakes do happen we are all human. Today I went to get a combo and they messed up my order but I didn't notice until I got all the way home. I called in and I spoke to Isaac who was very helpful on solving my concerns and was kind enough to remake my order. Thank you Isaac I really appreciate it. When I picked up my order the cashier was rude and didn't once apologize for the inconvenience that had occurred. I deal with costumers everyday and this was definitely not good customer service I even thanked her after she gave me my order but she didn't even look at me.
