We celebrated our daughters 30th birthday this weekend and Beverly's was an absolute hit!! From the beautiful and amazing cake, the yummy mini cupcakes and the oh my gosh best brownies ever YUM I've ordered from Beverly's before but not since I moved to Long Beach and it is definitely worth the drive. The service was wonderful and I truly appreciated that everything was ready when I arrived.

As per usual, I went to Beverly's for my daughter's birthday cake. I've ordered cakes from Beverly's since I was little (grew up in Brea), and they did my bridal shower cake, baby shower cake, my daughter's first birthday cake, and this year's 2nd birthday cake. The service is always impeccable, so helpful, and kind. They create a welcome environment in their locations as well. This year, we went with a daisy theme. So I gathered some basics to bring to them to put on the cake (topper, fresh daisies, and fondant daisies ordered on Etsy), but they worked their magic and did the most amazing job as usual. The color of the cake was perfect, the placement of her name, the daisies, and topper were so great! Not to mention, the cake itself always gets stellar feedback for taste and moistness. No frosting can compare, in my opinion. I did go a bit too large on the cake this year, but I was able to give family and friends cake to go, and we will freeze some of our leftovers so we can enjoy it in time. :-) See the photos for the stellar work that their cake masters created!

Maria is friendly, helpful and the baked goods here are really from scratch. For instance the buttercream frosting is actually made with butter and cream. You can select the french version or even their signature version. There are old-time favorites here baked with natural ingredients. I ordered a great cake with Bavarian Chocolate cream in between marbled cake and also some freezable dessert breads that have good wholesome ingredients. The table settings, ambiance with music is nice if you have time to snack inside!

Ashley did an AMAZING job with my wedding cakes. I cannot say enough good things about the entire experience with this team. Communication was wonderful from start to finish with Maria and as always the cakes are to die for. We've had so many birthday and celebration cakes, cupcakes, and treats from here over the years that it was the obvious choice for our wedding cake. From the tasting to the pickup, the whole process was smooth and I would 100% recommend them for a wedding cake. Or really ANY special cake for any occasion. We had an awesome time doing the tasting back in December. What they've done to update the bakery is adorable and I loved the way Maria set up the tasting area for us. She even made it work when my mom tagged along last minute. For our main cake we picked lemon with raspberry mousse and raspberry jam and Beverly's buttercream frosting (surprising to us both because that is not my go-to there--normally I'm a chocolate ganache with raspberry girl), but this combo blew us away. My husband picked a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting for his special cake to honor his family's tradition. I gave Ashley total design freedom with minimal guidance and example photos, and she made the most beautiful cakes I've ever seen. I cried when I picked them up and honestly getting to thank her personally when I saw them meant so much to me. I will never forget it. We got a lot of compliments on the cake, both flavor and the design and look. Literal perfection. Thank you ladies for making me dreams come true

I don't remember the name of the lady who helped us but she was super nice. The cake tasting portions were generous for all 3 of us (me, hubs and kid) to try and we liked most of the cake flavors. We ended up ordering a cake for our 1st wedding day. Guests loved the chocolate layer. We'll have a redo with the marble cake.

This bakery, I have shopped here for years, in the last three years it has gone so downhill with horrible Customer service, and Explain to me how you run a bakery and don't have a decorator on site that can write happy birthday or congratulations on your $50 cakes that you sell to the public? Completely disappointed with this bakery, it is not worth the prices. They are asking for their bakery goods and cakes. I'm much rather go to Costco or Ralph's. I miss the old Bria's best. Their decorators were always on site and their cakes were out of this world, and they actually took time with their customers. Completely disappointed with the new ownership! We have used this bakery for several family events and I cannot recommend them enough! We first used them for my birthday cake a while back, then my wedding day cake and desserts, then my sisters wedding, my baby shower mini dessert and most recently our second babies gender reveal!! The owners are incredibly nice, service is perfect as I feel they truly go above and beyond for their clients/customers. When we went for our tasting initially for the wedding cake tasting, the ambiance and experience was exciting and very comforting as we didn't really know exactly what we wanted for our wedding cake. I loved how they helped guide us in working with our specifics and never made us feel like we were asking for too much, but definitely helped us determine how much we needed and make sure we had just enough.

Highly recommend Beverly's Bakery! My husband and I just used them last summer for our wedding and absolutely loved it. They were so friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. Maria was especially sweet on the phone to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted! The cake tasting process was amazing. They gave us many whole tasting cakes (small) with every possible combination of the few flavors we were interested in trying. These were prepared ahead of time so we could just pick them up to take home and enjoy and decide on our own time! They gave great advice as to what flavors would go well to match what we were looking for. We ordered one tiered cake for the wedding party and sheet cakes to meet the rest of our headcount. We ordered the tiered cake months in advance and added the sheet cakes to our order later after we had a final RSVP. They were super understanding and made it easy to add that to the order! Everything went well with delivery on the day of the wedding and the cake looked beautiful and tasted delicious! Overall we liked it so much that we ordered the same flavor in a smaller cake one month later for my birthday! We tried another bakery in the process of choosing a wedding vendor and Beverly's was by far a better tasting and better customer service experience. We'll definitely be going back!

I've ordered from Beverly's twice. The first time for my wedding and the second time for a client's wedding. I had great interactions each time with Maria. She understood our vision and budget and made it work. I will definitely be coming back and referring my clients to Beverly's. For my wedding I ordered a 2 tier cake with sheet cakes. I did the marble, white and chocolate cakes with strawberry moose, vanilla Bavarian cream, chocolate Bavarian, and chocolate ganache fillings. We did a few variations because we loved them all and couldn't decide on just one or two pairings. For my client, we did a bride and groom carrot cake. They loved it so much they wanted to keep it for themselves! The design was beautiful and just as they wanted.

I had come here multiple times for a sweet treat, didn't ever really have much an issue and was normally treated alright. Unfortunately after last week I won't be visiting Beverly's bakery anymore. Ashley's customer service is awful. The order I place was not at all what I wanted. There was no urgency to make the situation better let alone fix the mistake. I've heard the cakes here aren't really that great and I should have listened to the rumors because they are true. Don't waste your time.

Today, I went to Beverly's bakery to grab the cake I ordered for my best friend's birthday a week ago. I showed them a pic of a black, heart-shaped cake with glitter that said "Capricorn baby." The person who took my order guaranteed it'd be an easy job. But guess what? When I picked it up today, it was a disaster! The cake wasn't heart-shaped, the glitter was barely there, and it looked nothing like what I asked for. I nicely pointed this out to Ashley the worker who informed me she iced the cake herself, and she got very defensive, insisting it was fine. I asked her straight up, "Do you honestly think this cake looks like a heart?" She was so rude, saying i don't know what you're talking about and that it was the right shape and they always use the same pan. I asked her to please try and fix it, and she half-heartedly put a point on the top. I had no choice but to take it because I was on a tight schedule. The attitude and the cake were both terrible. I'm seriously unhappy with the service and the cake, and I won't be going back to Beverly's bakery after this awful experience. They promised one thing and delivered the complete opposite on the day I picked it up. Luckily I was able to put my own spin on the cake and my best friend loved it. No thanks to Ashley.
