My daughter went to the store with her friend for some drinks. When they left, my daughter forgot her laptop at the store. The owner of the store saw the laptop and helped keep it safe to wait for my daughter to come back. The laptop was for school work, so losing it not only means money loss, but also all the homework for her classes are gone. I really appreciate the store owner's help for such kind act. Recommend this store to everyone as the food and drink are prepared by such beautiful heart.

My friends and I were craving milk tea and none of us had tried Katsubo, so we decided to make the drive. I got the dark roast oolong milk tea (with their house milk), 25% sweet with less ice. I love oolong milk tea, so I was super pumped to try a new company's oolong tea. Honestly, I didn't love it - it tasted more like black tea. My friend also got the same dark roast oolong and we agreed that it didn't taste like oolong. Maybe it's just the dark roast that's throwing me off, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I hoped. In terms of service, I ordered through the self-serve kiosk. I like the idea of a self-serve kiosk since some customers order tons of drinks with adjustments. It's also nice to see how much each adjustment costs (for example, cheese cream) before you place the order. There weren't any customers when I walked in, so my drink was ready within 5 minutes. If I come here again, I would want to try a different tea that's not oolong.

Pretty solid boba shop! I used a kiosk but the staff were very friendly and willing to answer any questions I had!I got a oreo matcha drink and it was very good! 75% sugar was perfect for me. I would like the matcha flavor to be a bit stronger however. The toppings option lets you add taiyakis and I enjoyed both the red bean and cheese taiyaki!

Its really is a cute store, with all light up square shape chair. The logo also really cute. Nice dragon. I love the seal.Order thru kiosk, pretty simple and easy.Have some couple questions and the employee explain well. However my 2 drinks came out pretty fast, it looks beautiful. But the flavor was off.I got one ronin matcha, regular sweet, with boba. And also have strawberry bits. The boba itself was a dissapoitment right away, it was smushy, no chewiness at all, and just plain no flavor whatsoever. And the strawberry bits was so so sour. And its really not a good combination with the matcha. I tried somewhere else strawberry with matcha, but if the strawberry is sweet it will be better than the sour one. This one we couldnt drink it, its goes in the trash :(And my other drink was matcha with tiramisu, the flavor was pretty good but again the boba was so bad, i got the mix boba which have regular boba and the mini boba, both big and mini its the same no flavor( not a hint of sweetness) and just smushy. For the thai tea one, its looks really beautiful but i didnt taste it, its for my friend. So i cant speak for that one.I see a really good potential for this place, maybe not overly cooked the boba, and boba should have a hint of sweetness. Like honey or brown sugar.

My favorite boba spot in OC; located in Fullerton in Amerige Heights plaza. The owner is so nice and helpful ( had an issue with my rewards points applying after my visits and he was very friendly and patient in troubleshooting with me ). Their boba is so fresh and every time I visit, their drinks are consistent. A little on the pricey side but their drink sizes are pretty filling and the deliciousness of their drinks justify the price in my eyes. I highly recommend the strawberry zen with honey boba and the strawberry yakult (has milk but for those who are lactose intolerant, there are milk alternatives). All of their popular drinks on the menu are super tasty as well. I do wish they had a café sit-down setting as the place is more order, grab, and go.

Really love the tea options here! The service was so quick, I didn't even notice that they finished I also loved that I could easily order on the computer. The Taiyaki was only an extra dollar. I thought that the price was good for the quality. But I wouldn't be excited to order it again. The four seasons tea was great for something refreshing but I regret not getting something milky. The place is great for big groups getting boba, you can't really sit down for a long talk. It's more about going in for a quick drink.

3 stars because for the size and drink type its a pretty good deal for $6 or less per drink.I came here more out of convenience, but would definitely not go out of my way for it.Pretty mid flavor and quality wise. Not terrible but also not great.

We wanted to try out this spot because their beverages looked like OMOMO's with the frosted cups. Katsubo is located in the plaza off Malvern so there's plenty of parking. They have various specialty drinks, so we ordered the:*strawberry zen (strawberry smoothie with cheese foam)*thai creme: tasted like a thai tea, but slightly watered down/not as concentrated *strawberry yakult: this literally tasted like a strawberry yoplait yogurt (interpret that as good or bad as you will)Overall, I think the quality of the drinks are comparable to other boba shops in the area. I wasn't a huge fan, but I think it's a solid option for boba if you're in the area.

First timer at Katsubo Tea! Ordered the dark roast oolong milk tea 25% sweet with small boba for me & the katsubo sugar 75% sweet with large boba for my fiancé! I love a milk tea that is tea strong & not too milky! The 25% sweetness level was perfect for my liking! It's very rare to find a boba spot that sells small boba! This is what definitely caught my eye and made me want to try it. I'm so glad I did because their small boba was a great chewy consistency and was not over cooked like other boba places!I believe it was the shop owner who approached my friends and I. He was super friendly and asked us if we needed help with choosing a drink. He gave us free stickers too! Super cool! The service was great! The ambiance is super cute with a bench and some lit squares to sit on! They have a cool screen that was projecting Kpop as well! I'd recommend visiting and trying their drinks out!
