Tacos were quite good. The Al Pastor was slightly better than the Asada. I really liked their default including guacamole on their tacos. The server gave me bottled beer after I specifically asked for a draft beer, but she was very nice about it- perhaps it was a language issue. While I was a fan of their outdoor patio and their angled windows, I found their competing music battle annoying. There should be only one source of music playing.

I went in on a Sunday with my family very excited to eat here and was I disappointed. The host was friendly but they need to be a little more professional. First off, the table we got sat on was dirty. There was still debris left and it was a bit sticky, also I requested a high chair or booster chair and was told they ran out. I was really confused because when I passed through the restaurant I did not see one single chair being used. My husband and I both ordered a molcajete each. When we received it we were disappointed and surprised to see that they serve it in a plastic molcajete and it came out warm but definitely not hot. On all other restaurants that we have ordered this type of plate it comes sizzling hot in an actual molcajete. Also, their horchata is horrible and their cafe de Olla has a good taste but it's a bit on the sweeter side also they serve it paper cups. I asked for some hot water to make my cafe de Olla less sweet and was told they didn't have hot water, so how do you make coffee? My mother in law ordered the birria plate which she said was okay but was barely warm. When I was trying to ask my server a question when she passed by she didn't stop but answered my question as she was walking away which made me not want to order dessert because my next question was regarding their Guayaba empanadas but got discouraged because I felt disregarded. This place is a bit pricey for what they offer. All of their non alcoholic drinks are serve on plastic Togo cups or paper cup and their plate are made of these rubber plastic material. The only positive experience I had was with the person who delivered our food. He was very professional, attentive, asked if I needed anything else without feeling I was rushed to answer and he was just very professional over all. In conclusion this was not at all a positive experience and will definitely not be returning. If you're looking for a great place for brunch at around the same price but better experience and ambiance in OC area try El Jardin in the city of orange. Everything is top tier and similar prices.

ONE-SHOT

What a hidden treasure, came here on the way home and glad I did. I had the molcajete breakfast and for sure 5 star all around !! Everything in the molcajete had a good taste to it, well seasoned and cooked just right. Especially the carne asada it was tender and had flavor to it. Almost forgot to mention the coffee de olla wich dialed everthing in. I will be going back.

BECAREFUL when you are paying they will add tip on your bill without telling you. I ate by myself that day. They have a sign outside cash tips only yet they charged me. When I confronted the waited they said that's the way they do things. Will not be coming back to this place.

As a purebred Mexicano !!!This food is flavorless.I ordered the quesabirria tacos & a consome to go. When I picked up the order, I noticed there were no lemons , so I requested some lemons they gave me cilantro & onions in aluminum foil . The meat is dry.I will never go back to this place.Birreria Guadalajara is 1000 times much better. What a disappointment. ????

Staff was great, very friendly. But the asada fries were trash. The asada was very dry and overall the fries are not good. $14 for fries that were not good.

Our waiter screwed up my order after I specifically pointed to the picture of what I wanted. He even tried to blame me after attempting to serve me the wrong order twice. Finally after 25 MINUTES he brings my order. Never checked on me once duing the wait and didnt bother to offer at least a beverage after i asked for my inconvenience. I aked to speak to a manager but they never showed. Then the bill comes with about $10 more than then it should have. I said nothing, paid and will NEVER patronage a place so dishonest and overpriced. Our server was more concerned with tring to upsell their $25.00 mimosas. He asked 3 times.Sorry but it was an unprofessional and dishonest experience for our first and LAST time!

I've given Palapas Tacos in Fullerton a try on a few occasions, drawn in by their flavorful menu offerings. From street tacos de carne asada to the mar y tierra burrito, the food here has consistently been good, delivering a satisfying punch of flavor that keeps me coming back for more every once in a while. However, my experiences haven't been without their downsides. Service can be hit or miss, and I've noticed an extra charge for using a credit card, which feels a bit out of step in today's digital-first world. While the food is a big plus, these aspects of the service and payment process have given me pause. The restaurant's cleanliness and the ambiance, particularly on the patio adjacent to a busy street, could use some attention. The hustle and bustle of the traffic doesn't quite complement the dining experience, making it less relaxing than I'd hope for an eatery where I'm looking to enjoy some good tacos.Despite these criticisms, it's the quality of the meals that has me saying I'd return—albeit not as frequently as to places that hit the mark on service and ambiance too. If Palapas Tacos reconsidered their approach to credit card fees, I might be tempted to visit more often. For now, though, it remains an occasional choice when the craving for their dishes hits.

food is great, but uber eats menu is seriously messed up. full of rabbit holes and errors. also lunch isn't served until 230?pay someone $40 to redo the menu and consider serving lunch at lunch time and this is a 5 star spot!
