An absolute hidden gem, I haven't been this pleasantly surprised about my meal in a while. I got the spicy pork belly don and the cream curry udon and both items were fantastic. For the spicy pork belly don, I don't think it was as spicy as it could've been but it was still delicious in its on aspect. The cream curry udon was unlike anything I've ever tried before, I know it wasn't very good for my health but it was perfect for my tastebuds. I highly recommend the two items I mentioned in this review and I'm definitely coming back to see what else this restaurant have in store.

Highly recommend this restaurant! We will definitely have to come back and try their other food. We got the Beef Cutlet and the Cream Curry Udon. Beef Cutlet (5/5): Yes, it's pricey. But, it is definitely worth it! I agree with the other reviews in that you should order a level below your usual beef readiness order. They cook the slices again so it might end up being more cooked than you would expect. The sides were also so good! It was a big portion and we are saving some of it for lunch tomorrow since we couldn't finish in one sitting! Cream Curry Udon (5/5): Like the other reviews have said, it is not as heavy as you would expect. Very flavorful and overall a delicious meal for anyone who enjoys curry!

I ordered cheese cutlets and spicy pork rice bowls at this place. This place was hygienic and clean and the service was excellent. However, the rice bowl was not spicy, but salty and sweet, and the cheese cutlet smelled a bit of meat when chewed. It may be misunderstood that it smells like cheese, but it's definitely different .(Sometimes I make cheese tonkatsu at home, so I know the smell of old oil, cheese and meat) It was a little disappointing for those who like spicy things and those who are sensitive to the scent. I think I have to make this at home

Open for takeout! Packaged very nicely although the beef cutlet does not reach the same tastiness as you would grilling with dine in. Still a fine choice for lunch or dinner though! If you have tried their curry udon or spicy chicken noodles, you won't be disappointed. Great flavors and very similar to how it's served when you dine in. The beef cutlet is the claim to fame, you get cabbage salad, rice, a couple sides of pickled vegetables and of course the beef cutlet! Cooked to order.

Currently take out only due to covid, will be back to try once dine-in is reinstated

TLDR: The beef cutlet is pricier than at other restaurants but it's delicious, you get to pick the doneness of the meat, and the portions are pretty satisfying. Might be a good idea to order one level of doneness lower than you're used to since they sear the cutlet after they chop it. This place was on the way back home after getting my car serviced so I decided to check it out. Seeing as the name of the restaurant translates to beef cutlet it only makes sense that I order the same thing from the menu as my first experience here. *Beef Cutlet* Okay, most people might be intimidated with the $22 price tag for a beef cutlet set. This clearly won't be something I'll be ordering on a weekly basis but I can see myself getting it every now and then as a treat. The meal comes with a generous amount of beef, white rice, shredded cabbage salad, mushrooms, pickled vegetables, and miso soup. You're also provided with a wasabi mayo sauce for the katsu, salad dressing, wasabi, and what I believe to be soy sauce (I didn't open the container so it's just a guess). You get asked on how done you want your beef which I deferred to the chef this time. From chatter of the staff it sounds like it was going to come out medium-medium rare. The searing of each individual piece of beef after the cutlet has been chopped was a very nice touch but I might order it rare next time so I still have some pink when I bite into the meat. The wasabi mayo was a perfect compliment to the meat as well as just having it with plain wasabi. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking to splurge a little bit on your next lunch or dinner. As a side note a lot of the other meal sets are significantly cheaper than the beef cutlet so I'm interested in trying those out as well. They also offer A5 wagyu for those with significantly more money to burn than I do. Overall it was a good experience and I'll definitely be back in the future.

I first tried gyukatsu in Japan and it blew me away. I ordered the beef cutlet and it tasted just as good as I remembered. The order came with rice, miso soup, mushrooms, pickled cucumbers, and dipping sauces (I love the wasabi dipping sauce!) The portion was large enough to split between two. I'm so excited that there's a place like this close to home!

I work near this place so it appeared on my screen when I searched for "take out" food for dinner today. I did not expect so much because chicken katsu's tastes are almost similar. When I open it after back to my office, it looked neat. It tastes good as well. I think I will often buy food at this store in the future.

Whoever is reading this, I'm about to put y'all on. I saw that there was only one review and that bothered me. I never upload reviews, but I had to let people know about this spot. I was hesitant to try this place at first because it was a little pricey, but me and my friends decided to give it a try... and WOW the food is amazing. I tried the cream curry udon and spicy chicken fried noodles which I highly recommend. The owner suggested the beef cutlet and I personally thought that was the best meat I've tried. It literally melted in my mouth. The best part was that they gave each of us our own portable rock stove grill thing (idk whats it called) to cook the meat ourselves. 10/10 recommend the whole experience was sooooo worth.

Amazing food, service & soju! Kim was the best server I've ever had, he really made us feel like best friends instead of patrons. I will be going back to this restaurant next time Im in L.A.! 10 stars!

This spot is a gem! The food was extremely delicious and the price was more than affordable! They give a good amount of food and the quality is great. Especially the spicy tofu soup, it had chadol in the soup that gave it a great meaty flavor. Everything my family and I ordered was delicious and we were more than satisfied!

I went there for the first time today and the food is good. I am quite picky when it comes to food. The kimchi was decent, I think that needs improvement. However, everything else was great. I rarely go out to eat but this place is definitely a place I would come back. Also they have a great deal right now on their katsu for $5. Thank you Chadolpoong!
