It had to do with the bill the server gave herself an extra tip on my card I had put a specific amount but she took the card device before it could process. I didn't notice until days later that the meal ended up 10 bucks more expensive due to her giving herself a larger tip. That's not cool or honest of the restaurant to allow that to happen.

This is my favorite shabu place in OC. It's a little out of the way for me, but I am willing to make the trip. The flavor of the broth is on point, the presentation of the proteins and veggies is nice, and the appetizers...the apps! Such a good selection where other shabu places fall short. On top of that, service is really attentive and you can tell they do their best.

Slice Shabu is my comfort place for evenings when I just want to sit on my own and enjoy a tasty, hot meal. They always provide amazing service and their portions are more than enough for one person. Great service, ambiance, and food.

We were headed for sandwiches at Stadium Tavern and opted to eat Shabu Shabu for something different. Glad we did. Loved my udon noodles, Tom Yum broth. Goma anf ponzu dippimg sauces with my veggie plate. Will come again!
Modernized trendy shabu spot in downtown Fullerton! The seating and vibe is like Kazunori, but for shabu shabu~ kinda mind-your-own-business vibe lol. Flavors are also a little more Americanized than Asian but still yummy. If you're used to the traditional shabu style, like Shabuya or Haidilao, you might expect a communal hot pot, but here it's individualized which makes it more sanitary, esp if you're not coming with family. You're also not facing each other, so might be good for first dates, coworkers lunch, or just me-time. We ordered: Spicy garlic edamame (4/5)Chicken Karaage (2/5)Two shabus (5/5) I got the combo where I choose 2 different kinds of beef - short rib and prime ribeye And then mochi ice cream for dessert! (5/5) Must get the green tea & mango mochi ice cream! While I enjoyed my overall experience here today, I wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

Nice little shabu place right next door to Smoking Tiger in downtown Fullerton! They have four portion options for proteins: 4 oz, 6 oz, 8 oz, and 12oz. I recommend 6 oz for a regular serving, but 8 oz if you're extra hungry What's nice about this place is that you can choose TWO carbs; if you choose rice, it is unlimited but the noodles are not. Also, the customer service here is exceptional!Shabu Order:- Protein: Toro (Beef Belly)- Broth: Spicy Miso- Sauces: Extra Sour Ponzu + Goma- Carbs: Udon + Ramen

Slice is just one of those places that's an amazing experience, fun place to go with friends, especially when it's cold outside. The place is very clean and they offer high-quality products and the experience of cooking them yourself is all part of the fun. The service is OK but they don't have to do a whole lot after setting you up. Which is fine because it's not expected and they are available if you need them.We will continue coming here because it's always great go to on a cold night.
